the wife of a former Clark County Sheriff makes her first court appearance WDRB Stefan Johnson tells us about the special request from Misty n before she appeared in court Stefan well Scott you'll remember behind me on last week Misty n was taken into custody before she made her court appearance today she did have a special request it was to appear in court in her own clothing as you're about to see the answer was no which meant she was brought to court today in handcuffs shackles and a green jail issued jumpsuit she spent the weekend locked up at the Scott County Detention Center both she and her husband former Clark County Sheriff Jamie null are charged with theft and tax evasion in fact this case deals with allegations the couple had access to millions of dollars from theft of equipment ghost employment and fire department credit cards used at places like department stores jewelry stores and even cigar shops meanwhile the defense asked the court to set Bond at no more than $5,000 thank judge she is no Flight Risk she is no risk of not appearing in court she is employed and has been employed wants to go back to work she served this community and she's a asset to this community but she's had the benefit of all those allegedly millions of dollars that were taken 30,000 30,000 cash as I mentioned the court the state will be discussing now whether or not we will attempt to join both of the defendants which mean there would be one trial for Misty and Jamie null shortly after today's court appearance Misty null was released from jail after posting that $30,000 cash meanwhile if the state does make a motion to join those trials the judge will have the final say with photojournalist Neil Johnson I'm Stefan Johnson WDRB news all right we'll stay on top of it and see if there's one or two trials thanks Stefan
