versions on game days for football basketball and some other sports as well then we have halfday campus Clinic that are at OSU here at Oklahoma State at OU and University of Tulsa uh and they are student athletes help teach them and and and it's interactive and then we have some sports lab that travels to Oklahoma communities throughout the state to expose even more students and our partners great Partners engag learning help facilitate these yeah it's really cool so math is such a big part of sport Science is such a big part of sport so let's let's dig deeper what exactly do the kids learn at these Sports Labs well they learn um about very important things scientific principles about the physics of of velocity of torque of angles so so I think about listening to you call one of our football games and when we have a receiver that gets a better angle on on a on a back and then they're going down the field and they don't catch them it's because of the Velocity but it's lot of angle and that's stem and you're yelling pistols firing because they didn't use stem oh there's no doubt that's right angles are everything in almost every sport angles matter a lot that is correct so it's a really it's a really cool thing and it's interactive and it's interactive so the students participate and you get them excited and engaged and that's what you want to do with kids so a lot of people are asking okay so what provoked Devon to do this why did they invest in the sports lab we believe introducing stem to kids at a young age is incredibly important for their long-term success and development Devon believes in the youth they believe in stem and we believe that's a part of our future and it's very important and so uh stem is important for all types of careers whether you're an engineer a teacher or just an A or even an athlete um so many children across Oklahoma they love sports and we introduce them to stem and we get them excited and and if you think about that Dave children are curious sure they are and they can get excited and when they have um a lot of of uh emotion around something and they get curious about it it it's it's so powerful and it becomes powerful and and you know what there are there are there are children that love stem but aren't so excited about sports and we can teach them that stem is a part of sports and they may realize that that's a career they may want to go some coaching and and so it helps both but but we love what it does for the children and for the Youth and cuz they're our future oh they absolutely are and stem is our future we believe that it's what makes Devon who we are we use stem in everything we do and and we love what we do oh there's no doubt in fact it's funny it sort of helped fuel an idea I've had for our Sports media program a class we would call the the the math of sport yes because there's just so much math involved and Analytics Division and geometry and all kinds of fun stuff so it's awesome what you're doing because it really connects fun with learning and you can't beat that that's a win that's a total win absolutely you get that Curiosity the ambition and passion and then that stays
