Well, hopefully everyone's been having a great weekend so far trying to get back to normal sea across the area. Hopefully, it's been easy going and smooth sailing so far, the weather is not going to be a problem over the next week, we do see a couple little showers happening. Now, we had a few earlier this evening too and still some lingering across the area, but they are pretty small and localized. We've got one shower moving into Houma right now. Most of the south shore is dry. One little shower just passed through Bell Chase, but it's fizzling out. We got one little steady shower happening over Lake Pontchartrain. This will continue to drift to the south southeast or the east southeast rather. So if you're about to hit the causeway, you'll probably see the shower passing over within the next 15 minutes or so. A couple little showers passing over slidell, but really the majority of the area is dry. So that's what we expect overnight tonight. Mostly dry weather, one or two little raindrops passing through. Temperatures right now are in the upper seventies or dew points are still in the mid seventies. So it does feel a little bit humid, feels like t which is actually at 81 we've got calm winds and winds are expected to stay calm overnight. Getting into tomorrow, we could see a couple passing showers at times, maybe a rumble of thunder, especially in the morning. Even throughout the course of the day, we could have a couple little showers around but it's not going to be much, nothing really too worrisome early tomorrow morning, we'll start the day with temperatures in the seventies, probably low seventies, mid seventies on the South shore and then upper sixties, low seventies on the North shore, maybe some patchy fog too, but nothing too much of a problem. Tomorrow, tomorrow will be hot for the cleanup crews still out there working really hard temperatures tomorrow, probably mid and upper eighties. It's still going to be a bit humid too with breaks of sunshine and a couple passing showers and maybe a storm popping up, but not for everyone. I only have a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. The heat index tomorrow. Really the big thing to focus for those working outside mid nineties is probably what it will feel like during the mid afternoon, early afternoon to mid afternoon time frame, lower nineties, mid nineties by about three o'clock still feeling like the low nineties into the early part of the evening. So it will be heating up a bit tomorrow. Really? Our big main weather feature is this upper level trough that's hanging out over the southeastern part of the country. And part of the reason is because of Francine, it's obviously no longer happening and we're done with it. Just kind of the remnants and energy associated with it are left over. And that's why we have that good chance to see a couple passing showers and storms tomorrow and Monday. So the next two days we'll have a few showers and rumbles of thunder around and then as that trough kind of sits over the southeast, the next couple of days, things improve for us. Actually, high pressure will build off to the west and come in our direction. So things will actually be drying out for us as an area of low pressure develops off the Carolinas that's gonna drift up north towards the mid Atlantic. We don't have to worry about that. We're just looking to head to high pressure that will start building in by we and last until the second half of the week. So that means even drier weather is coming our way starting Wednesday and heading into next weekend. So here's a look at tomorrow. Here are those passing showers, maybe one or two storms generally expecting partly cloudy skies tomorrow. There is not much rain expected to fall tomorrow or Monday. So again, good news for us Monday, one or two spotty showers, maybe a rumble of thunder here and there on Monday. Just really throughout the day, you could see one passing by and that's really it, they're not going to linger. So that's also a good thing. You might get a good little steady shower, but it will be in and out pretty quickly. So, what to expect Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, few showers and storms hit or miss variety hit or miss type doesn't mean you'll definitely see it. Don't cancel any plans and don't stress too much. I know we don't want to see any of this, but we could see a few passing showers and rumbles of thunder the next three days and that's it. The tropics are expected to stay quiet for us. Here's our seven day forecast. Temperatures will be in the upper eighties over the next week.
