heading out on a training hike today is actually going to a spot where Appalachian Trail crosses the road and it's I think the closest intersection of the at to home about an hour away up in Hamburg and uh there's a pretty big climb right out of the parking lot and just going to kind of see how many times I can do that and uh hopefully get I don't know at least goal would be500 FT elevation climb I don't know how many times up and down the trail that is but uh we'll give it a go [Music] [Music] it's a big hill I don't know probably a little over halfway up it one mile so far and it's been straight up ever since the train station I don't really know when the top is I think I marked it right around 12200 ft of elevation so that put me about halfway but we'll see looked like it was looked like it was about even even elevation gain the whole way almost seems like it's been flattening out so I can't tell am I close to the top my halfway but it's hot wish I brought a snack very humid but luckily luckily the sun's not out so get up from this bench and keep on keep on pushing up right now though thought of getting to the top and going down for a second trip up is daunting to say the least
