all right guys pukan nakua is on the Block Scott we'll start with you it is a 12 team superflex PPR 1.75 for the tight end start 10 are you going pukan nakua or Pacho and the defending champs 25 first go ahead man well before the season pukan nakua was wide receiver 8 but now he's dealing with his fourth injury in a matter of about 10 months and he's going to miss a month Isaiah Pacho is set to smash and you're getting to 25 first with which you know some people say it's the greatest running back class or the greatest overall class in terms of Dynasty value that we've ever seen so just having a first in your pocket I don't care if it's the defending champs or not there's going to be a window where you'll be able to sell that this is the most you're going to get for a player that is injured for a month didn't have a good week one that is Dynasty so you may say pukan deua was great last year but we also saw a 32-year-old Cooper Cup come out and look better than pukan nuu almost ever has so it kind of makes you wonder a little bit it's a great situation he's a good player but should he ever have had a elite Dynasty value to the point where you are arrogant enough to just take two firsts basically not saying I'd want to pay a first per per Pacho but where he is the offense he's in that's what's going to cost you to get him from somebody else's roster so it's essentially two first for puka I think given the state of things and how quickly it moves if I'm a roster it's hard for me to turn this type of value down even if it puts me in a weird spot from a receiver construction it's never been easier to kind of hack things at receiver and get by in that puka spot I'll use Pacho until he dies which could be next week or it could be in three years you just never know we're seeing 29 30y old running backs better than ever so I'll take the the first in my pocket in peo and just live to see another day with a guy I know is going to be out till week seven so Shane it's a 12 team superflex PPR 1.75 for the tight end start 10 are you going puka or Pacho and the defending champs 25 first yeah I'm going puka just not to just disagree with Scott but I'm going to disagree with the that it was arrogant to think puka was an elite asset because the Dude put up 17 points a game as a rookie now yes a couple things have changed since that end of that rookie season his knee fell apart in the off season and he took four weeks off you hoped his knee would be better he played I don't know a quarter and a half I don't know how long he played and then he injured the knee again so it doesn't bode well for his future Prospect right but one thing in fantasy we do have is a very short memory puka comes back in week seven and smashes his value is going to recover there's the nonzero chance that 31-year-old Cooper Cup who has a history of lower body injuries could get injured and leaving puka in the same exact position as he was last year obviously later in the season I do obviously love 25 firsts I like Peko a lot but I would probably try to move puka for something else other than the running back and the 25 first because I would move puka and I have moved puka but I just I don't know that I would do this deal specific Scott what teams would you be looking at in your portfolio to acquire puka what what's kind of the right fit to be a buyer and a seller as well I think as a buyer you're really just looking at it on a team where you probably don't care about the now and you're just looking at anything that you want a future window to sell I don't even think it needs to be a team where you are punting I think it could be a team that's middling that you just kind of want to push a little bit further down and you're willing to trade another asset if you're getting the right deal if you're getting the piece back that allows you to make a better deal down the road which is what Shane's argument is that you're just taking puka the value and then maybe there's something in week 10 where you're going okay he's a League winner now and somebody's willing to pay you the premium then so I think that it Dynasty is too much a game that moves very quickly now where you can't just be looking at I'll punt and take TOA for next year like you may have a team that's not going to do anything until next year but you're not getting him to hold him to next year you're getting him to go okay I'm getting him now at 85% of what he was before the season but when it's week eight just cuz he's a young receiver doesn't mean I can't move him again for 225 first or something like that when the deal presents itself so I don't even think it's a a tanking or a punting team I think it's just a team that doesn't care about the next month or two and you're just okay taking the gamble that hey I'm getting an asset that helps me get something bigger down the road Shane what teams are good fits as being sellers of Puka everyone without being flip it because if I can find someone else in my league like Scott alluded to that that is puning this year right because they're looking to next year and they don't think that they can do better so maybe they want to give me Z flowers in a first because they're not competing this year and they just you know obviously think puka is Elite I'll take it I'd also actually buy puka on contenders if I can find a way to get that done as well as a piece for the end of the season to throw it people I'm buying and selling puka like there's no it's not a binary Choice it literally every league if I can afford to buy him I I'm going to buy them if it's a Rebuilder and someone offers me two assets for him say like again 25 first and Z flowers well then he's gone so it really depends on what assets I can get back for him Scott would you trade puka for McBride right now in a 1.75 tight end premium so it's a bigger picture answer the answer would be no but that's also a macro bet on how I can Patchwork receiver production differently than tight end production so it really comes down to I think if I can get something else for puka then fine but I'm trading for a bet at tight end that I think is much riskier than puk's production when he comes back so it's more of I'm interested in actually moving puka no matter what the situation but that's also because I think the position that he plays and where he probably fits on my roster I think is easier to replicate in different ways versus you're really just making a big bet on a tight end if it doesn't work out you don't really have any insulation because there's a lot of people that will just say tight end don't matter unless they matter to you so you don't acquire a guy like McBride to then go value flip because he's worth so much it's almost like I'm trying to buy the positional advantage and if he is the positional Advantage it's just harder for me to Envision that I'm actually going to trade him for the type of value that I'm trading away to get him in the first place
