LISA - New Woman/Rockstar VMA Performance |Reaction|

[Music] hi everybody welcome back to the trend today's trending topic is going to be Lisa I'm going to be watching her performance at the VMAs for new woman we've had a lot of reactions to her solo stuff recently if you want to go back and watch me and my sister Rosa's reactions to it they're up on the channel for new woman Rockstar she slayed we've been loving her solo era and I was like wow I'm so excited to see like her live solo performances because every time she performs solo like when she was in black pink they ate so I was like okay I know these are going to be good and I can't believe that she performed at the bmas I feel like that's such a big step for her especially I feel like she's trying to break out of K-pop speaking of which I know she won for best K-pop which I was super surprised by because if you watched me and my sister we had a VMA prediction video and we thought that for sure seven or super shy would win we did not expect Lisa to win but I'm glad that she did because obviously love that song slate whatever but I see a lot of discourse around it in the sense that like she won for best cap hop but like the song is in English and she's like a thae singer or like artist so like how does that really make sense like I don't know what are your thoughts on it do you think that like yeah she's still classified as K-pop because technically like she's in black pink and like they're on Hiatus but like that's fine I don't know I really don't know but the one thing I do know is that I'm so excited to see her perform and I feel like from The One Clip I saw I watched like 10 seconds of it and I was like ooh I need to go watch this immediately so we also had a poll in our last um video when we reacted to new woman asking people if they liked new woman or Rockstar better and surprise surprise new woman won by a landslide she won by 89% compared to Rockstar which only got 11% which like I kind of anticipated and like that was my vot too but still I was shocked I was like o that's a really big win um so yeah I'm not surprised that she decided to sing a new woman for her VMA performance instead of rockstar thank you to Annie for requesting this reaction and yeah before I keep yapping I'm just going to start cuz I'm so [Music] excited let's yeah let's hold on for a second um I didn't realize I would get only 8 seconds in I I know that's like a problem if you go back and watch any of her reactions I keep pausing and I really can't help it cuz I'm just like wow I just have a lot say like her sitting in front of this mirror at the turn around like yeah she knew what she was [Music] doing she said fresh face yeah Lisa always serves face she always serves face the chair kick is serving she served I love that outfit too o [Music] okay hold on this qual this performance I already can tell from the first 30 seconds that this is really setting her apart from like any other K-pop Idol like these these backup dancers in the chair if you've ever seen Ariana Grande on tour perform bad idea that's what this is giving like sexy mature the whole works I love her outfit it makes her stand out so much which I already think that about Lisa already where I'm like oh every time she's on stage I know where she is because she's she stands out like yep the tall one the tall skinny one body face everything I'm like yep that's Lisa which I feel like it's a really good um trait for like a pop artist to have is like can you spot them on stage that's the same way I feel with Taylor Swift like Taylor Swift is physically tall same thing with Beyonce Ariana she got her little boots and her ponytail to make your HA stand out anyway I digressed [Music] wow oh [Music] Theo um first of all I I know her mic is on because I can hear it second of all okay the Coro everybody knows that Lisa is a Dancer everybody knows that I know that I knew that even before I was like into black pink like I'm not even into black pink to be honest like black pink is okay they're good but like I'm more just into Lisa so like I've always known that she was a good performer but like wow she is really serving with this okay [Music] on oh the people going across the [Music] stage two things one I love the treadmill stage okay Beyonce I feel like she's done that before love it I love that she looks like she's having fun on stage Lisa and J hope I feel like every time I watch them I'm like wow they just look like they're having fun on stage and that makes it like fun for me to watch obviously like as an audience member I'm like oh she's serving like she's having [Music] fun [Music] oh you're lying this Coro break is crazy oh I did not I did not realize that it was a mash up with rockstar I literally thought it was just new woman wait that's an even better idea I did not even think of that I didn't I didn't even know you could do that but I guess that makes sense because Rosalia is not there that she kind of cut it off but like that was such a good transition to I was like oh what is happening dance [Music] R oh my God yeah she is so great [Applause] [Music] I love it I I sorry excuse my language but I literally love it it's giving like go big it's giving like do everything big and I love that in a pop artist if you're going to perform don't put on some measly performance like go big and this big ass star with Lisa in the middle yeah she said Rockstar and I love that she's like really establishing herself and like okay she's like this is my label like this is my logo this is not um what are they with Y Hy no not hyp y SM whatever she anyways she's like this is mine this is my work oh that was such a serve oh she's just she's just a serve like just the aura her standing in front of the star is just max Aura make Chas so [Music] Rock I love the background dancers the background dancers are going just as hard as Lisa and somehow she's not drowning in them either like you're still there's like a million background dancers and I'm like okay they're all serving but still like my eyes are like Lisa because she's performing the Coro just as good talk about a performer talk about someone that was literally born to perform like this is what she's meant to be doing crazy also I think I'm liking the Rockstar part of this performance better than the new woman [Music] part the Lights On Me [Music] [Music] know I love that part of the Coro where they go I don't understand because honestly before I started watching this performance I did see like people talking crap about it as always which I shouldn't have even been surprised because same thing with Rockstar like I saw people say like oh rockar is not good and then I listened to it and I was like what are you guys talking about same thing with this people are like oh her performance was actually so mid like she was she was lip syncing the whole time first of all I don't think she was personally not that I'm an expert but I don't think she was second of all what do you mean this is bad like it's actually crazy that I'm like I genuinely feel if it was anybody else performing this instead of Lisa like it it was Jenny or Rose or jiu like people be like oh my God it's so good serve but because it's Lisa I don't know why people like hate on her so much more like I literally some that's a phenomenon someone explained that to me no she she ate the lights are actually sick I love this part of the song and the [Music] Coro the star is sick as hell as expected iconic performance and definitely something that in the future when Lisa gets bigger than she already is which I know that she will I really know that she will people are going to look back at this performance be like yeah she slayed and like that's what a first live like first live solo performance under your label like she said I'm going to do this big I can't understand why people like are so against her like I'm so flabbergasted by that and and honestly I'm like even personality wise I'm like it's not like she's like annoying as a person or like her person like she's cute like I really don't get it something to be said because I know a lot of people are like oh Lisa's only making it big right now because of BTS and like they paav the way and like my perspective on it I saw a tweet that I'll like credit if I can find it but someone said like what's the point in Paving the way if nobody else can walk on it like I really don't understand that like mindset from like armies especially like as an army myself where it's like why are you so mad that other people are like walking on like the paved pathway that BTS made like shouldn't you be happy like isn't that the point of Paving the way like and I also think it's important to acknowledge like Lisa doing her own things like she's a solo tie artist which I haven't heard of any other ones right so she's like already representing her own country and again like I think she's definitely trying to break out of K-pop like as a woman also a big move like huge move and I really see like a future for her as a pop artist in western music anyways let me know what you think did you like the
