The Gators Are Hungry Gator Nation get ready there's a buzz building in Gainesville it's the sound of anticipation of Hope of a team with something to prove the 2023 season had its ups and downs but that's all in the rearview mirror now this is a new year a fresh start and this Florida Gator team they're hungry we saw glimpses last year flashes of Brilliance moments where you could see the potential bubbling to the surface but consistency that's the name of the game in the SEC that's what coach Napier and his staff have been drilling into these guys all offseason the swamp is going to be rocking this year I can feel it the fans are ready to unleash and when that place gets going there's no more electric atmosphere in college football this team they feed off that energy trust me they're coming to Dissecting the Schedule, Game by Game play all right let's break down this schedule week one right out of the gate it's a battle in the trench is against Utah tough opener for sure then mcne State comes to town got to take care of business there week three the Gator travel to Miami always a heated rivalry Circle that one things really heat up in October the cocktail party against Georgia enough said then a trip to Death Valley to face LSU phew that's a brutal stretch November brings South Carolina Missouri to the swamp and then it's off to face Kentucky the season closes out with the annual rival R game against Florida State look there are no easy wins in the SEC but I see a path for this team if they can steal a few on the road and protect their home turf a 9 win season isn't out of the Playmakers Ready to Roar question let's talk Talent this Gator team has some dudes on offense it all starts under Center Graham Merz has another year of experience under his belt he's got the arm Talent now it's about consistency and don't sleep on that running back room Montrell Johnson Jr is a beast he's a home run threat every time he touches the ball on the outside Ricky peol is a big play receiver he's got that knack for making the spectacular catch look routine defensively this unit is loaded with speed and athleticism keep an eye on linebacker Shamar James he's a tackling machine and in the secondary Jason Marshall Jr is a lockdown Corner he's going to be a problem for opposing quarterback Year Three [Music] section four Napier's Gators year three coach Napier he's got this program heading in the right direction year one was about establishing his culture year two we saw progress now it's about taking that next step and I think this team is ready he's brought in some top-notch assistants he's recruiting at an elite level and most importantly he's got the players buying in they believe in his vision they trust his is process that's huge in college football when you've got that kind of alignment special things can Rivalry Showdowns and Surprise Twists happen section five rivalry showdowns and surprise twists look the SEC is a gauntlet every week is a dog fight but there are a few games on this schedule that really jump out at me the cocktail party against Georgia that one's personal it's a chance for the Gators to make a statement to show the college football world that they're back and then there's that road trip to LSU Death Valley at night man that's one of the toughest environments in all of sports if the Gators can go in there and steal a win watch out don't sleep on those rivalry games either Miami Florida State those games are always battles anything can happen that's the beauty of college football it's full of surprises and I've got a feeling this Gator team is going to shock some folks this year
