we expect by tomorrow afternoon it will be sitting here as a tropical storm by Tuesday afternoon it's approaching hurricane intensity near Brownsville and then it makes that turn and picks up some steam and on Wednesday afternoon we could have a hurricane just offshore or we could have a hurricane making landfall here in Southeast Texas we don't know yet at this time and watches will likely come down later tonight or tomorrow for our local stretch of Coastline Tuesday this is a weather watch day where we will likely have some tropical showers in and around Southeast Texas as the storm continues to lift North Wednesday is an ABC13 weather alert day because depending on that track of the storm this is when we could have the greatest impacts again tropical storm to Hurricane force winds are possible depending on where that storm tracks that could potentially mean some power outages or localized damage also could potentially mean storm surge and some heavy flooding rains as well it just depends on where the storm could go and we'll have greater Clarity of that by tomorrow
