Royals claim Tommy Pham (breakdown)

the Kansas City Royals have just claimed outfielder Tommy fam off waivers from the St Louis Cardinals so now how is Tommy fam going to be used first of all let's go over his stats after getting off to a really good start with the white socks he is then struggled since his trade to the Cardinals with the Cardinals this year he has a 206 batting average with two home runs 12 RBIs has an onbase percentage of 286 and a slugging percentage of 368 overall on the season he's been 254 with seven home runs one thing that concerns me a little is his high chase rate and strikeout percentage his strikeout percentage is at 21.1% and his Chase rate is at 19% but nevertheless he's a solid average hitter that strikes out a lot but one thing that really stands out is his postseason numbers in the postseason he has a career 313 average and 115 at B with six home runs and 10 RBI so Tommy fam obviously loves the postseason and lastly where the Royals are going to use him I think the obvious answer is he'll spend most of his time at DH Salvador Perez is likely to become the full-time first baseman after the unideal injury of Vinnie pasquantino who could miss the remainder of the Season including the postseason and that will leave Freddy fine to catch overall Tommy fam is a much better DH than Nick Lofton so this is a great call by JJ Picolo thank you guys so much for watching if you enjoyed please like And subscribe for more Royals content peace out and go Royals
