Out in Kalamazoo tonight, Western Michigan hit the halfway point of its fall camp and the Broncos held their first preseason scrimmage with no preseason games against other teams in college football. This is head coach Lance Taylor's best chance to see the progression of his team with week one slowly coming around the corner. Taylor says while there's certainly room for improvement over these next two weeks, he likes where team is out so far. I think when you don't have preseason games, it's good when you have a lot of veterans like we do, um, where, you know, you're getting great competition and you're making each other better, um, on each side of the ball, but it is truly hard to put them in those game like situations. You know, whether it's at Wisconsin or at Ohio State or, you know, here in Waldo, I mean, it's different when you, when you're in those live games, the Broncos begin their season exactly three weeks from tonight. It's a tough one on the road against Wisconsin.
