when it rains it freaking Pours and it is downpouring like crazy like the Arizona Cardinals at this point I am genuinely considering a curse like I have said this before but I am starting to believe it even more than I did like why did this catch even have to happen in the first place like we win this Super Bowl I don't care what happens I could be like a Dallas Cowboys fan and harp on the old Super Bowls in the good old days just stay reminiscent I could hold this over people's heads like hey I was alive for a Super Bowl but no I was alive for one of the craziest Super Bowl losses so stupid but I mean let let's talk about the news today yesterday Darius Robinson got hurt the update is that he had a calf so hopefully everything is good I will have an update video on that if anything comes out nothing is confirmed yet no timetable on anything we just know it's a calf injury but Z Jones let's talk about you bud Z Jones is suspended for the first five games with out pay so we're even thinner at wide receiver than we already were now we have Marvin Harrison it's going to be Greg dorch in the slot Michael Wilson is the X now we're probably looking like Zack Pascal or Chris Moore is the next man up for the X and then at slot receiver it was going to be Z J who was going to play inside outside and now we don't really have a backup slot Andre basilia is probably going to be the guy elevated I don't know who else would be our backup slot so very interesting very unfortunate timing of a suspension he's eligible to return after the week five game against the San Francisco 49ers very unfortunate but I just I don't understand like why do things in Arizona have to be so bad I just want a positive season like that's all I want it's just one good season haven't had that in years the last time was 2021 and it is 2024 about to be 2025 I have lived through poverty Y in Arizona my entire life like I grew up with the sun struggling the Cardinal struggling like can we just break a curse can we actually be good I'm not going to so quit asking I had high optimism and my optimism is slowly coming back because Darius Robinson is a calf and Z Jones will be back by week five this isn't as big of a loss as Darius Robinson but it still hurts and this is something we kind of knew was going to happen or at least it was a potential to happen because Z Jones was arrested November 13th was charged for a misdemeanor domestic battery it's not really funny I don't know why I'm laughing um it was after an argument with the mother of his child as this article says allegedly resulting in injury of her neck single charge was dropped but the suspension is definitely real Jones is on a one-year contract and I do think he's still going to be pretty solid like the suspension definitely does hurt and it sucks that he's not going to be playing cuz in training camp he looked pretty dang good I'm going to be very honest here but the thing that does suck is like I said we are so paper thin at receiver that I really don't know who the next man up is at the slot cuz it was technically Z keep somebody we can Elevate somebody I don't know what's going to happen we just keep getting thinner and thinner and thinner and I'm not really liking that I hate to even talk about this but let's just hypothetically say Marvin Harrison Michael Wilson or Greg dorch went down with an injury who is the next guy you're comfortable elevating in one of those spots on this roster I don't think we have a guy who's really giving us Elite production and I think that's a problem with a lot of positions on this team is just depth in general it is kind of concerning to think about and that is something that you genuinely have to address because you lose him for five games on defense you have things that need to be addressed too but at the receiver position we are very thin like our top three four guys are fantastic we have good depth up top but when we start getting to the bottom it's a little concerning we don't really have guys who are proven or know could play you have Xavier Weaver tojan Palmer you have Chris Moore Zach Pascal like Dan chisa have guys that could come in here potentially or potentially make the roster but just no one I'm super comfortable with but I mean there's always time for improvement and there's always ways to prove yourself the spot open there is definitely opportunity so it's going to be very interesting to see how they fill that it's going to be a little tough to replicate the production he was going to give us but I mean it is what it is still think he'll be a positive asset to this team but we're going to have to wait till week five to see Z Jones in action with that being said though that is going to wrap up today's video
