Intro so could you ever imagine year with like this in the Pras a player now almost surviv favorite um no not really looking back on it to be honest but um I was just sort of trusting the process and blessed to get the opportunity that I have and uh I'm having fun with it back On the rivalry with Hawthorne after must nice to get one the old rival especially here yeah it was good it was good to have the home crowd uh on our side and and it was it was pack 30 30ish th000 which was good to see here and um yeah it was it was good always good fun playing Hawthorne with that rivalry and um it was good to come out with the win On his start to the season what you do at the start of the year to sort of get your mind right get your body right and attack the year been phenomenal the start of the year as well and as really holding no thank you I've I've sort of just trusted the the the um Team the people we have at the club and the all the staff and just sort of I had a big offseason with working hard on uh my running in my my body and getting it right for the for the season cuz obviously we know it's a long season and just sort of sticking to what I've done the last couple years and and working hard and I put on a bit of size so that helped and yeah I'm just sort of getting confidence every week and and uh happy with the opportunity that the coaches have given me and the trust they have in me so I'm just having fun is any On his teammates teammates in particular who helped you not mold you in the play that youve become yeah I think um I think obviously the small forwards grind and and close to you've been doing it for a few years now been really good for me I sort of started in that position obviously all my preseason was was as a forward and then going up to the wing and um Blitz has been really good for me up there and he's he's very good at the way he talks with um around the role and just sort of backing my instincts and uh playing freely so say those three have been really good and then obviously the two Jeremy and uh and then Tom Hawkins have always been good and they're always around the club helping with goal kicking and and whatever you need really around uh around anything so there's a lot of guys at the club to help me um which has been talk about having fun looks like you had On having fun an ball out there and you look a really is that something you try to prioritize when you're out there like you know P yourself every moment out there yeah definitely and I love just having smiling and having fun with the team and there's uh there's not much more fun than just playing footy on the weekend and I know how blessed I am to have that opportunity and that's my job so um I just look at it that way and just love love doing it like I really love going to training and and having fun with the boys so it's uh it's been really good and I try to hopefully keep myself young I just just having fun and smiling T before you're up there star is something you're looking at at the moment or is something you want to win um yeah it'd be cool hon to win that but uh it's not something that's at the top of my priority it's really just it's just winning to be honest and and whatever Back comes off it comes off it really and um just sort of yeah again as I touched on before having fun and um I'm glad that everyone back me at the club and and uh I haven't been reading too much about that stuff but I'm just sort of letting my footy do the talking at the minute and um yeah I'm just enjoying it assist as a rookie you know pretty On working harder as a rookie pretty raw in in do you feel like you had to work a bit harder than some of the guys maybe like a dark for example who came in as a you know highly touted top um yeah I feel like I I sort of play with that bit of an edge obviously being a rookie pick and and coming from basketball so I still have a lot of improvement to go obviously I've only pretty raw in football which sounds weird to say but um only really my third proper year of it um in in a while since like under 15 so um it's been it's been good fun working hard and I love I love my offseasons and pre-seasons getting at it and improving so yeah I would say I work work pretty hard and and uh keep try to keep improving every day what what's your advice to those of taking On advice for young players the roadless travel you know maybe become football by p b or just our l yeah well it can happen from anywhere really Mom was just from six games of school footy so it's just sort of trust the process and if you're good enough you'll get found out so sort of just just trust yourself and and back yourself in and have fun with On Friday night it Friday night excited yeah very excited for that one that'll be good and they always bring a good crowd and hopefully we always uh we come in and bring a good crowd as well the cat supporters um I'm very excited for that one at the G and it's good having a six- day break and get straight into it for short week you uh you know the rush Rush behind behind last week you're at the the center of that I mean tell us how that that moment sort of played out you feel like you sort of moved it a little bit um yeah look I I sort of got a bit of meia throughout the week um obviously the call and the umpiring of that game but I didn't really look into it to much I just uh I sort of knew he was going to do that and I may as well um not pressure him because would have taken the Kik outside so I knew that he was going to do that and just sort of HED that the umpires would see that he was uh trying to rush it so what of just happened
