out here amazing honestly um you know it's my first time experiencing as a starter uh we've had some power fing before but um you know never against a ring team and much less of the top five team so um just like coach said huge for the program um that's a real experience growing up on one second guys let these guys get in here and sit down [Music] [Music] all right Ethan growing up in alurn did you watch a lot of n games as a kid uh no actually watched a lot of NIU um I grew up a husky fan so playing here as a dream line um and you know I was uh obviously fortunate enough to you know get an opportunity to play here and um you know I I really committed two weeks after my offer so um no more so NIU has been more of a dream for me uh it's taken through the thought process watching can KCK go up and through the uppr there I couldn't watch I'm going to be honest um K's been there before he's won games for us multiple times so I was nervous but I knew I us make it and I I still couldn't watch but you know I had I had all the go ahead go it you can go it you go ahead I'll go next Ethan I know this isn't your first time against rank Kentucky what felt different today and just what was that like you know to come in and get this win on the road for you uh what felt different honestly um you know it feels very similar uh very similar atmosphere um Kentucky Notre Dame really loud passionate fan bases uh you I think it just came down to execution this game versus Kentucky uh we were able to execute and the defense played great uh I couldn't you know be happier with what they did for us CU they helped us win the game so easy to take sorry there was there was a moment there where it could have gotten out of hand real quick you started your first drive at the 2 yard line how much does an 83 yard touchdown pass just calm everybody's nerves and say hey we can win this game it's huge um you know I think we we didn't have to prove it to ourselves that we could win this game we knew that in the locker room you know an hour before the game um but you know that that touchdown is nice to score uh even it up especially with them opening up with the touchdown um it's it's the response that honestly probably helped Propel the game in that direction it went uh you can coach talked about the death of this team at the end of last week's game and then just a couple of minutes ago can you just speak to the death of this team in the quality that you guys have at all the different positions you said the depth right yeah um I mean yeah a ton of depth everywhere uh we have what 30 seniors or so on the team and you know only 22 people can play in the field at once so we've had guys that have played a lot of football for us that are in the two deep um you know that's that's really nice to have honestly because when guys get tired there's no drop off so um we have you know a lot of guys who can play probably more than we can even travel to these games so yeah off of that I mean what was that last what to say about you guys on that last drive you know wasio lied Tron not out there to to go and get the field goal with two really big offensive weapons the field yeah it's like I said it goes back to our depth you know uh Trayvon obviously one of our best players and um you know he's done all the right things but he goes down next next guy mentality uh Andrew mroy stepped up today helped us out George de I think that's how you pronounce last name but if I'm wrong um but George stepped up caught a great slant got his first down so um you know seeing the younger guys Step Up is huge for me because I've been able to see these guys growth in program I've been around here for four years so you know seeing where they came in as freshman and seeing where they are now it's it's really it's really good to see on your fourth down run at the end of the game what options did you have on the play call uh probably three receivers uh they all covered them up well they're covering the roll out pretty well all day so um you know they didn't account for me and you know the joke is EOB cuz I'm I'm really slow but no uh it was good to have an open Lane it was a fairly easy first half conv version so anything else for Ethan let C aw thank you guys
