[Music] [Music] no what is going on everybody thank you for tuning in to another edition of on the road to Victory I am your host Jimmy Smith and I hope you're all having yourselves a fantastic day getting a little crappy now with some rain but uh we're going to push right through it baby we are eight days away from Eagles football I don't know about you but that makes me ready to run through some walls and well we've got a bunch of chaos unfolding here with a bunch of news and look I'll be live later tonight and I'm going to recap some of those other moves that were made and we're going to talk about also the initial 53 and practice squad as a whole and in case you missed any of that stuff James Bradberry was placed on IR got hurt in practice yesterday and then um we also had corresponding moves Orin Burks was added to the active roster with that open spot and then Brett Toth got added to the practice squad because brks obviously left that spot open so those were those moves we will talk about those later tonight but those aren't new players you know all about those guys Bradberry we talked about it a depth piece and you know I've heard some of the median fans making stuff up about you know how it would be a good idea to pay money for a guy to not play and not be able to trade him the Eagles are not trying to get worse I promise you they are not doing this on purpose sucks that he got hurt didn't think he should make the roster anyway but is what it is so now we're dealing with it let's talk about a new addition to the team somebody we don't know about unless you watch the show and you know last year we actually talked about this young man during the pre-draft process Byron young is now a Philadelphia Eagle so they claimed him off of waivers from the Raiders and then least Marlin to a below to so we've talked about this you know the young depth we have here love the starters but what is going to be the backup plan here and we still don't have a true nose tackle here so very intriguing Thomas Booker makes the roster we talked about could he make it over Marlin 2ou they both end up making it and then the next day you know this happens and then the next you get it so yeah Byron young is now a Philadelphia Eagle so let's talk about him ladies and gentlemen and I think you know again we talked about him last year but this is a guy he was a third round pick and obviously you know oh why would he be you know cut that's concerning but what's concerning to me is that the Raiders are still an organization being run by morons so I can't take everything they're doing you know and try to make it seem like it's a smart thing so look 63 295 only 23 years old out of Alabama and he's only played six games in the NFL he only had four tackles in those games so didn't really do anything in the NFL yet in his rookie season last year but hey you never know with the change of scenery some development anything can happen and again you know we went to Alabama so you know having that kind of you know School Where It prepares you for the NFL better than most you know look this kid he started 26 games in college had 22 and a half tackles for a loss eight sacks 15 quarterback hits that's for his last three years couldn't find the first year got a four fumble recovery and a pass deflection there and you know when we talked about him last year one of the knocks was the fact that I don't really know where he want to put him I mean he played a little bit of edge he played inside so a versatile piece and we talk about Vic fangio and Sabin they're fam you know very familiar defenses right they're not the same but a lot of the same Concepts so you got a guy that fits the mold of what you're looking for you know that Milton Williams hell Thomas Booker who we were just talking about these guys that can play no tackle not a nose tackle I mean he can try you know he can play in the a gap the B Gap so I mean you're looking from one to four Tech he can play that I'm not moving him outside he's not going to be an edge but he will be a defensive end in some of those odd fronts so look he's a versatile piece he's somebody that you know was a former third round pick has high upside so why not take a shot if you don't feel comfortable with two or below two why the hell not so this dude's good against the run something we need and he's more of a pass rushing type defensive lineman he's not a true nose like I talk about but he's strong as nails dude I like this guy he's tough that's what we talked about last year when we were talking about him and I think that for me it's it's more than two below to who we talked about was even going to make this roster so hey why not let's give him a shot and if he sucks you get rid of him and it is what it is but this is someone who provides you depth all across the line behind Milton Williams Jaylen Carter Jordan Davis now again not a true nose tackle so if we don't have Jordan Davis I don't PJ moose is not even on the practice squad I don't know uh yeah again there's some guys I can try to play but um regardless let's take a look now at the updated depth chart and I W to you know show you oh my apologies I'm just clicking all kinds of stuff don't know what I'm doing and then it's like lagging so oh a little bit of storm and rain got this computer all twisted regardless so let's take a look here at the defense now with two BL2 taking off and I did add in you know the Bradberry injury things like that so um see see now this is proof right here that it saves stuff differently than what I put in here so you're going to look at this for a second you saw what I just saw right so uh give me a second my apologies there uh but yeah so you can see this is how I made the graphic and it is so funny you guys get I'm glad you guys have been seeing how canva and streamyard and YouTube do their best the whole hold me back and baby you just can't stop me and we're only eight days away so they better get to work in baby because I know I'm not stopping so you can see what that depth chart actually looks like the one I made not the one that they try to put together it's so weird how they do that stuff it's truly creepy hey best of luck to you guys uh you're not going to stop me so you saw the defense for a second Byron young there as I explained you saw Bradberry thrown in there that's the new look defense I could show you a little bit of something something here here you know is your safeties of Von Maddox you know and you look at the corners we talked all these things we talked about Burks now a linebacker so look I I still feel great about this defense and then the offense I still think is going to be one of the top offenses in the league same goes for the defense so very excited there even special teams as me pretty pumped up here so I'm through the roof about this squad making the little adjustments we talk about this and here's your injury list these are the guys that are on ir and the pup list we talk about this man you knew all kinds of Moves Like This were going to happen happens every year don't you know fret about who's on and who's not we'll wait till week one when we see what's actually going on here but uh here is the practice squad as well in case you missed that but again I'll be live later tonight we'll break down all this stuff all the cuts everything that's going down for the Eagles but wanted to talk about Byron young and uh in case you weren't with us last year talking about him but uh any thoughts if you guys are Alabama fans May a Raiders fan is watching wants to give some input on why they're letting go of him already but look 23 years old in his second year why not give him a shot all about it but
