for Five Seasons our first guest has played Porsche's brother on the hilarious show Arrested Development please welcome my friend Jason baitman I I always like the way you dress it's always a little dodgy but I told her I said this my Ellen shirt this something like she would wear right I would wear that yesen shirt you're absolutely right I would wear that you would dance better in it than I would not true was that dancing coming out yeah no I didn't that's my point I didn't realize that was I was peeking there with my dance Talent hi Jason Hi look at all these nice people look at this they're here they have waited months some years to come here right this for for you they've all waited very hot ticket and deservedly sh they waited to see when Jason baitman was going to be on the [Music] program did a sign go on no was there a sign out there that said please Applause quickly for that no they just realized they should they were like oh I think she wants us to applaud that so you did two movies two Netflix series you're working constantly when are you going to take a little break now okay that's why you're here yeah after this um there's a there's a a week of um fun stuff like this and then I'm going to I think do nothing until uh like March of next year I think and reintroduce myself to my children uhhuh um you know the the sun does not stop um coming up and down every day and they keep getting older every day I've got two girls 11 and six it's so special both of them they're pretty great they're fantastic really cute with them um and uh so I just I miss a lot when I'm away I me I'm very this is you know high class problems I'm very fortunate to to have work but um Ozark looks like God willing it'll be going for a little bit so that'll be six months are you done with the season of Oz now I just finished uh 3 days ago so now I can just kind of do nothing did you direct these as well I did the first two of this season and didn't do any of the others so that I could come back and see them a little bit more I can like get like a Monday off or a Friday off Ozark is so good and you're so good in it it's great um but you're not here to talk about Ozark let's talk about yeah let's let's talk about a res development um so so what is uh what is the best thing about besides I mean Porsha was not going to go back as you know she was she said no over and over again yeah and like had a great reason for it it was like I I'm I loved being an actor I'm kind of over it and uh over it in the sense that I really love doing what I'm doing now which is her art business and I just think it's just like an incredible idea and um Mitch the the guy who who is the father of aresta development said yeah but we're going to do another season and she's like yeah no I'm good yeah she he was like well but but but just a little bit she's like well I don't think anyway so this went back and forth for a while and um finally thank God she she decided to come out of retirement just for a little bit so that she could be in the season um but it's uh I I have to think I have to hope that the draw out of retirement was fueled by this sort of this undeniable familial it's just it's so warm and cozy there like we all love each other so I mean you hear it all the time a series is like a family but it's true like all these people you work with you see them more than you see Porsche I mean like this is your family working with actors on shows and crew members on shows it's you really create this Great Bond and we certainly have one on on that show and I really think this season is is going to be the best I agree felt like it was incredible it's hilarious it's you've seen some I've not seen any oh yeah seen tonight the first three oh yeah the premier is tonight yeah it's it's really funny but you should explain it's what what happens this season you kind of kind of did I have no idea okay I but but almost in truth the the way that we have to try to EV get everybody uh to to to work on the show over the course of 6 months given all the other stuff that we're doing uh we kind of come in like we have to do all of my scenes before really the whole shooting is done so Mitch was writing scenes from episodes that he hasn't even written yet for my character because I had to go away and start Ozark again so he has to fill you in a lot and it's so I'll I'll figure it all out tonight but that's the but that's the good news is that every single person that that came out of Arrested Development has a career and everybody is busy working so to try to put everybody together it's a great cast and it's a it's hilarious yeah well we we have Mitch to thank for that and and the nice folks folks at Netflix for re resurrecting the show and letting us all come back together it's really and it shoots here in La which is so rare you don't leave and see I don't I don't like to leave the house you don't like to leave the house we we are both very boring people when we're not working I got home yesterday at 2:30 uh cuz things were done for me and there was nothing else left in the day and so then let's just put on the PJs and the slippies cuz I mean why not I mean there's they're more comfortable I agree with you and I'm not leaving yeah it's embarrassing when people come to the door with deliveries or the mailman or something like that and they think I've just kind of hit f it you know life's over for me let's just uh I am exactly the same we could live together cuz yeah cuz I'm exactly the same do I do like your house this this sounds great all right let's go deeper on that okay give us one second um all right uh you are fantastic and I know that you have your Premiere tonight and need to get in your jammies so uh I'm Gonna Let You Go and uh oh we have more to talk to him I can't let you go yet do not leave cancel the premiere yes cancel the premier I uh I have more to talk to you about we're GNA oh we're going to play a game we getting wet and gooey in this no no no cuz I got a Premiere I got to go to the only way we do that is if we're going to give you $110,000 so I'm in okay we'll take a break all right we're back with
