Dominique picott a 71-year-old Frenchman is on trial on charges of setting up a rape ring French police began investigating him in September 2020 when pelot was caught by a security guard filming the undersides of three women's skirts in a shopping center this is not the first time that the Frenchman has had problems with the law he was accused of murder and rape in 1991 and of attempted sexual abuse in 1999 thus during the investigation h hundreds of photos and videos of his wife were found on her computer lying unconscious in the fetal position picott crushed tranquilizers which he added to his food and drink to make his wife totally unconscious and allow other men to enter his house to rape her the images also show dozens of cases of rape in the couple's home in maen province in total more than 20,000 files were found in a folder called abuse from 2011 to 2020 they started when she was 59 years old the victim does not remember the abuse and only found out in 2020 the French police found more than 50 suspects between 20 and 70 years old of having participated in this criminal scheme among the suspects there are journalists firefighters drivers soldiers a prison guard a nurse single men and men with a wife and children most of the suspects participated in this situation only once but there were those who participated six times the French police counted a total of 92 rapes committed by 72 men 51 of which were identified and are being tried along with the victim now 74 years old who could have asked for the trial to be held behind closed doors but did not because that's what her attackers would want she is completely determined to face them and her husband with whom she has lived for 50 years
