quarterback Garrett green questions for Garrett so Garrett just start with uh you know last week you weren't happy Neil wasn't happy with just everybody's performance this week the offense especially seemed like it had had things in gear were you happy with the offense were you happy with your play uh yeah I mean there there's still two drives that we didn't score on you know uh you know kind of a ball issue on on one of them and then you know the fumble so we got to clean those two two things up but other than that I thought it was a productive day other than the the one throw out of the back of the end zone pretty accurate today just how did it feel coming out of the hand yeah it felt it felt pretty good um you know throughout the whole week you know that was you know a point of emphasis to to stay after throw more routes and stuff I think it showed you're able to use your legs a lot more in this game be productive on the ground what was allowing you to do that do you feel better about the ground game that you still is a part of you being a dual threat you weren't really able to show that against yeah no I mean I think just that's just how how the game went um you know they they they they had they had a couple couple you know really good coverages to to some of our calls um you know Coach Brown always says you know it's not up and just run how big was the touchdown right before half you they had just cut it to seven but you guys score yeah it's big um you know because they got the ball coming out of the second half uh and Coach Brown always talks about you know winning the middle eight which is the the last four of the second quarter and then the first four of the third quarter so I don't know I don't know what it was but you know I feel like we did a good job about that you're able to utilize some of the new wide receivers like Jaden what can you say about how big those guys have been yeah they've been they've been wonderful you know I was glad I was able to you know give give J rob his first touchdown as as a mountaineer um and then jayen Bray I couldn't couldn't see the catch shells on the ground but you know J Jane Bray had a heck of a catch and you know that one almost scored so they've been huge huge additions um and and they've been they've been doing a great job of you know buying into our culture here um and you know it's my job to to get him the ball place of night action with the new lights is anything different compared to last year with I mean the third quarter was cool um you know I was kind of sitting back it's like wow this is this is awesome uh you know with with the video and you know all the ties of the state I thought it was really really cool are there any of the new receivers that's um specifically standing out to you either in practice or what you saw today yeah I I I think I I can go down the list and and talk about all of them you know from Hudson to Preston Fox to Jane bray to you know just Rob to you know all Rodney Rodney had a couple huge catches today you know a lot of the DayDay farmer um you know a lot of them have progressed and you know they've they've really used this offseason and you know fall Camp to to be in a spot to to you know be a factor in games and you know tonight I tried to spread it around a lot um and you know that guys makes some plays you feeling you guys should run pretty much go ahead who is percent was in 7 how believing is that especially after the last week um yeah I thought it was good but you know after watching tape you know vers Penn State you know I was coach coach Tyler's uh you know huge point of emphasis this this week was just doing what your coach to do you know there was four or five plays where you know if I just do what I'm coach to do last week um you know I'm I'm right up there in the in the high 60s low 70s um so really I just this whole week just trying to really just stick to stick to the game plan and you know do what I was coach to do so do you feel gu that you guys as a team could run pretty much at will they never really slowed you down yeah I mean I mean today yeah um you know but they're they're well coached um you know they've had success in the past because they're super well coached they don't do a they showed a little more um like diversity in their coverages tonight then then on tape but they're well coaching you know they don't do a whole lot um but you know what they do they do it well set the lead block onto he's touchdown is that part of the play or is that a kind of an instinct thing on your part I mean you know he he he picks up a lot of a lot of blitzes for me you know he stands in there so it's the least that I could do to you know escort him to the end zone any reluctance doing that after the guy get called can you repeat it one more time any reluctance going out for the block after the defender div knees couple play I mean you know I'm not that big you know I can I can see it you know if he does it to wide or someone but you know I'm 200 lb so but I I was in position you know I think my hands were tight um but no I mean you know I I I love love love our guys love our locker room uh so you know they take hits hits a lot for me so it's the least I can do speaking of Jim did you say anything to him on Sil or anything after the fumble after the big run yeah he's just you know I mean he's he's he's in that still I mean he's still just you know true sophomore you know so he's he's got a lot lot of football ahead of him um you know it's just just part of growing you know l no know when the play's over you know not every play is going to be a touchdown but you know I I think he he responded well and I think he's you know obviously he's going to be a great player for us was part of going to him right away kind of on the next series to yeah to to just you know get the ball back in his hand you know let let them know that you know everyone all 11 of us um are behind them you know what next week means I mean you've been a part of two of these before so now you can actually focus on a little bit what's what's this going to be next Saturday yeah you know it's going to be great environment um you know going back up there you know after what happened in 22 I think the the whole locker room is looking forward to that um but they're a super talented team they you know they're playing with a lot of confidence right now um so it's going to be hell of a battle you know you to really play last year yeah I mean I mean obviously but you know I mean I I just got to have a
