Trending searches: what time is the presidential debate
No, no, wait, that's his job a little bit later tonight. In a prime time special. Good evening everybody. I Seth Myers live from New York. It's a closer look. I think the fun part for us is any time we get taken out of our comfort zone. I think we rise to the occasion for more on this. It's time for a closer look for one night only late night host, Seth Meyers is bringing his show's most popular segment to prime time for a day after recap of the presidential debate. So we're in a position where we can talk about one, what happened on the debate stage and two, you know, the bounce media that's been from the campaigns. There's gonna be a lot for us to break up and put in different acts of the show. It will be broadcast live, which makes him a little nervous, like anticipation slash dread even after his previous stint as a Saturday Night live cast member. My years at SNL, you never get used to live. And it's so funny because ultimately, when we do our show, we're not making a ton of edits. It feels basically live. But of course, we don't have that luxury and your body knows that. And so the butterflies kick in and you just hope you can make it through a closer look, actually reached its stride during the 2016 campaign. And then it became a thing that we just got really good feedback on it. People liked it. People like watching it when it aired, people like watching it online the next day. And so we just started leaned into one a thing that was working and two a thing they like doing the carefully researched segments, explore politics through humor. The fun thing about doing it is the comedy people have learned to have a lot of appreciation for what the researchers do. And I'm also gonna say, I think all the researchers have gotten a little bit funnier. The live prime time special won't be the usual show in the usual time slot for Seth Meyers. You need every now and then something to sort of shake things up a little bit. There's been close. Your luck.
