Heather Lyke's time at Pitt will be remembered as positive, but I understand why they're moving on

a story that stands alone today I wanted to give it some special time your Pratt pack Heather like has been relieved of her duties as athletic director at the University of Pittsburgh I think most of you know yes I'm in the business of broadcasting and I Do cover sports but I am a fan of the University of Pittsburgh and everything that is pit hail to pit has been my mantra for many years I grew up loving them and I still do to this day I must tell you she did an incredible job during her tenure at the University she will not be forgotten but I also understand why the decision was made and I praise the chancellor for looking into the future because you see in athletics in college athletics the playing field has changed the transort portal name image and likeness and whether you like it or not and I'm a fan I understand there's a business aspect to it and you need to win and you need to win on a regular basis and you have to be grabbing headlines in an National audience so thank you to Heather L I understand what the chancellor has done and it's time for all of us who hail to pit every day 365 days a year 247 let's turn the page together and move to an incredible next chapter in the history of the legendary University of Pittsburgh Panthers
