you may proceed member for uh thank you Madame speaker my my request for a statement regarding brutal attack of harders in gababa location inara constituency Madame speaker pass it to the provision of Stan order 44 2C I Rise to request for a statement from the chairperson of the department committee on Administration and internal security regarding brutal attack of harders in gababa location inara constituency Madame speaker on 13th of August 2024 two harders from iara constituency Mr Ron AB mmed of ID number 3459 5419 and Mr Buu Hassan Muhammad of ID number 3460 2136 were brutally attacked in tabaka area gababa location which borders Galo constituency in tanar Riva County the had were gracing their Kettle when they were assaulted by eight National Police reservice nprs accompanied by Two Chiefs and two administrative police officers from T River County the nprs are claimed to have been receiving orders from the two chiefs namely Mr s Koro Chief subaki location and Mr Moro assistant chief subaki location to chase the harders away with allegation of transpassing their grazing land the victims were fatally injured due to gunshots on the legs and back which led to the admission at garisa level five hospital and masani level four Hospital respectively these cases have caused a lot of wrestling among the resident in this area Madame speaker the attack raises grave concern about the conduct of public officers particularly the Chiefs and and nprs involved and apparent misuse of authority by these individuals the presence and involvement of these officers in such violent acts against innocent citizens are not only alarming but also demand immediate investigation and accountability Madame speaker it's against this background that I request for a statement from the chairperson of the departmental committee on Administration and internal security on the following number one the steps that are being taken to apprehend and prosecute the nprs Chiefs and AP officers who are involved in this protol attack number two measures being implemented to ensure that such incident do not occur in the future particularly in areas where communities are vulnerable and depend on pastoral activities for their livelihoods number three compensation and support being provided to the victims for the injuries and Trauma they have endured number four the measures the government has put in place to address the issue of grazing rights and resource allocation especially around borders between counties number five the effect of the Draconian bill that is called the three mile around this area thank you
