18-year-old injured in shooting on Carlton Avenue in Charlottesville

police say an 18-year-old is recovering from serious injuries after an early morning shooting on Carlton Avenue it happened just after midnight and the police department says officers found a female victim with gunshot wounds to her head she was found in a vehicle that crashed into a trailer home the victim was taken to UVA Medical Center and is now in stable condition this is the fourth shooting this week in Charlottesville we're using both o both over and covert strategies to address this issue and identify individuals that are involved in these shootings and as we identify them we're going to arrest him and uh take and you know hold him accountable and there are no suspects at this time however police say they believe this was a targeted incident and they're asking anyone with information to reach out to them
