Hello everyone, My name is Myrto Tripathi, I am the founder and president of the association "Voices of Nuclear”. Its mission: to ensure that nuclear energy is recognised as essential for the ecological transition. Today, I face a lawsuit brought by a prominent figure of French the anti-nuclear movement because I openly denounced the responsibility I attribute to that movement in climate change. I am launching a crowdfunding campaign because I need your support. Nuclear is the energy source with the lowest carbon footprint. Nuclear has also the best health and environmental record out of all available energy sources, including renewables. Moreover, nuclear energy is entirely produced in France. Nevertheless, some have chosen to go to formidable lengths to push a completely inaccurate image of nuclear energy onto the general public, and this… for decades. In this context, many irresponsible political decisions have been made: In the 1990s, the closure of the Superphoenix project, which, at the time, could already have generated electricity by recycling nuclear waste. The steady decrease in research efforts on the future of our nuclear, culminating in the shutdown of Astrid project in 2019. In 2010, cancellation of the first EPR project at Penly, which set us back more than 10 years in the renewal of the nuclear fleet. In 2015, the arbitrary decision to reduce the share of nuclear energy in our electricity mix to 50%. And most recently, in 2020, the unbelievable shutdown of the Fessenheim nuclear power plant. All of this while maintaining our dependence on imported fossil fuels, coal, oil, and gas. On April 15, 2021, I tweeted the following: The wall of shame: See how millions of people will die because of a few who will have put their hatred of nuclear energy and their personal interests above your lives. Every country has its own. In France, Corinne Lepage, Yves Marignac, , Pascal Canfin, Barbara Pompili, Michèle Rivasi, Mycle Schneider... Corinne Lepage, former Minister of the Environment and an attorney, has decided to sue me for defamation for this tweet. I will not be intimidated. I stand by every word, and I will provide evidence for what I assert during the trial on February 13. However, I do not have the financial capacities of the anti-nuclear movement, far from it. For six years, I have worked on a fully voluntary basis to promote nuclear energy in the ecological transition, I have worked to make the Voices of Nuclear heard, I have worked to make YOUR VOICE heard. I need your support. To finance my defence, I need your donations. That is the goal of this crowdfunding campaign. It is time to make our voices heard, the voices of a real ecology based on facts. An ecology that delivers results. Thank you. Link to the crowfunding plateform in the description. Thank you for your support;
