Has NFL Defenses Figured Out Detroit Lions Offense?

[Music] all right man has uh NFL defense is caught up to Ben Johnson and the Lions offense um check out Detroit Lions talk playlist thumbs up the video share the video subscribe to the channel and last year Chicago kind of laid a great blueprint on you know what Detroit did really really well versus uh over the middle of the field what they did with Le pora and what they did with st Brown and they start shutting down the middle of the field and that's why it was so critical for them to get more production on the outside with their receivers and obviously J Mo you know he's one of the receivers that came through Sunday night versus the Los Angeles Rams so now what you seeing is you know even though I think somebody said after the game that Ben Johnson said it wasn't it wasn't going to be a pretty game and they you know pretty much was going to be out of sink or whatever but uh now you got to see the Lions have to come through with some counters how are they going to counter you know the middle of the field you know like now teams are taking away the middle and saying beat me on the outside then you know what what do they do next do they start putting their Playmakers like leapa and Amar ra St Brown on the outside you know or do they start you know basically you know kind of add more motion and stacking them and bunching them and doing some things that look like they going on the cross the route but then break into the sideline more um like how they going to comat that now every team is not going to have a Personnel to stop leor and to stop a my rock St brown but now that they and seen what Ben Johnson did it's going to be nice to see some of the tricks that he got in his bag to counter to counter what these teams are doing to them you know that's going to be nice to see what he can come up with because now they packing the middle of the field in and now you know they running these routes and um they running these routes and now the defender is beating is beating the receiver to to the spot so yes this is happens teams take the best teams in the league and they study them they steal from them and they try to figure out how to stop them you know and they try to figure out how how how do we how do we stop them and now it's going to be another true test to see how what Ben Johnson can come up with to you know counteract the middle of the field and what teams are doing to him and it may be Amar R st Brown going on the outside and having to prove that he is a true top 10 receiver by dominating on the outside no is Sam La Porter headed for a rookie slump a sophomore slump so you know those two of their main guys and now you know people say well you know you know J Mo just going to have a big GE but you know in a run game but now you do need another receiver on the other side that they feel threatened that's going to threaten the defense excuse me and that's what happens you know Josh Reynolds played an important part but J Mo stepping into that role but then they still need another receiver you know KH Raymond I don't think got one target you [Music] know I don't think he got one target yeah I don't think he got one target you know so so with that with that being said um IM with that was being said they going to have to figure it out cuz now if I ain't got to worry about another guy on the outside well guess what we going to pack it in we going to bracket this guy we going to take away them and they may have to rely on their run game and you know Brad Holmes he rolled the dice with do people Jones J Mo Antoine green and ain't nobody come up big but J Mo so now he rolling the nights back with diamond people Jones Allan Robinson and Tim Patrick and basically what it B down to is you know between Robinson and Patrick who learn the Playbook and who be sync with Jared gar and Jared Garf is not an easy receive but not an easy quarterback to get in sequ with you know so they got a couple things working against them you know they going to make KH Raymond beat them they going to live with right now they going to live with J Mo beat them J Mo going to see a lot of single C he going to see a lot of single coverage so it's going to be interesting but somebody said after the game and I can't remember who it was said after the game that Ben Johnson said this was going to be a rough one so a lot of a lot of these offenses week one came out the ging whether it was the Jets whether it was the Dolphins you know it was it was quite a few of them that came out sputtering and most of them the rounds most of them didn't even you know do pre-season so yeah it don't really it don't really surprise me n so um we'll see how they get in the sink uh I think they had touchdown fav vers Tampa I had that video up Wednesday morning we going to do close out live stream for the Rams uh tonight um for tonight but uh but yeah man it's going to be interesting to see what they can doctor up or what they can cook up um going forward because they going to see a lot of teams not you the top dog they study in you know and that's what make K shanan so great they got so many different plays off the plays of MC B too you know they got like a formation and out of play and out of a play out of a certain formation to play they can do three or four or five different plays out of that one formation to play it look like an outside Zone but it's a play action you know the Todd girl they doing play and it's a play action and they throw right to girly like a long hand off you know so it's going to be interesting to see what Ben Johnson can come with so um he's creative week by week they come up with new things so won't be easy next week I know Antoine Winfield Jr ain't playing for the Tampa Bay Buck but it won't be easy next week you know Tampa good team they had a lot of success last year had some success versus us had some success versus commanders last week but know nobody uh you know think the commander going to be any good but um they young Team new ownership but uh but yeah I'm interested to seeing you know how they going to counter the NFL catching up to what they do y and I really you know we seen a few things in the in the passing game you know jir Gibb slipped so he's still a work in progress catching the back B caching and football as well too so it's going to be interesting but uh let
