we've got all the latest updates in cider scoop and exciting highlights to share with you so get ready because you won't want to miss a second of this action-packed episode now before we get into the nitty-gritty let's remember that this is the first depth chart of the Season things can and will change as we move through training camp and the preseason but this initial look gives us a great idea of where the coaching staff's heads are at and what we might expect come week one let's start with the offense and who better to begin with and the man under Center Dak Prescott no surprises here folks Dak is firmly entrenched as Cubone and after the season he had last year there's no doubt he's earned that spot but what's interesting is who's backing him up the cowos have listed Cooper Rush as cube 2 with Trey Lance as cube 3 this is particularly intriguing given the hype around Lance when he was acquired last season it seems the coaching staff still values Russia's experience in the system but don't count lance out just yet he's got a cannon for an arm and could make some noise in the preseason moving to the running back position and here's where things get spicy Tony Pard is listed as arone which isn't a shock after his breakout season last year but right behind him rookie sensation Jaylen Warren this kid turned heads in college and apparently has been doing the same in OTAs and mini camp it looks like the Cabas are ready to give him a sign significant role right out of the gate Rico da is slotted in at ARB 3 providing Some solid depth and special teams value now let's talk wide receivers because this is where things get really interesting CD lamb is W rone no surprises there the man's a beast and is poised for another Pro Bowl season but look who's lining up opposite him Brandon Cooks the veteran Speedster was broaden during the off seon and it seems he's already made a a big impression Michael Gallop is listed as W3 which might raise some eyebrows Gallop has been a staple of this offense for years but it looks like he might be taking on more of a specialized role this season Jaylen Tolbert and kavand Turpin round out the top five with Turpin likely to continue his electric work in the return game as well tight end is another position to watch closely Jake Ferguson has apparently won the starting job at least for now he showed flashes of Brilliance last season and the coaching staff must feel he's ready to take the next step rookie Luke Schoonmaker is tiell which speaks volumes about his potential the cbas invested a high draft pick in him and it looks like they're planning to get him involved early Payton Hendershot his T3 providing Some solid depth and Red Zone potential on the offensive line we've got some familiar faces and some new blood Tyrant Smith is is back at left tackle which is great news for DX's blinds side Tyler Smith who filled in admirably at left tackle last year has been moved to left guard this kid's versatility is going to be a huge asset Tyler badas returns at Center providing some continuity in the middle of the line at Right Guard we've got Zach Martin who continues to be one of the best in the business and at right tackle Terren steel has apparently recovered well from from his injury and is ready to lock down that side of the line now let's flip over to the defense because this is where things get really exciting starting with the defensive line we've got some serious Talent up front Demarcus Lawrence is still holding down the left defensive end spot and he looks primed for another dominant season on the other side we've got Mah Parson listed as the starting right defensive end this is huge folks it looks like the Cowboys are planning to unleash Parsons as a full-time Edge rusher this season which should strike fear into the hearts of opposing quarterbacks at defensive tackle we've got a bit of a surprise rookie matsi Smith is listed as a starter alongside Osa odisa Smith was the cba's first round pick this year and it looks like they're planning to throw him right into the fire this kid's am mountain of a man with surprising quickness and he could be the Run stuffer this defense has been missing Neville gallamore and chony gston provide some solid depth here moving to the linebacker core and this is where the versatility of this defense really shines Leon vanderesh is back as the Mike linebacker which is great news for the cbas his intelligence and leadership are crucial to this defense at the will linebacker spot we've got Deone Clark who showed a lot of Promise as a rookie last year and here's an interesting wrinkled jabil Cox as listed as the starting Sam l linebacker Coxx has dealt with injuries but his coverage skills could be a real asset in defending tight ends and running backs the secondary is where things get really intriguing Trayvon Diggs is of course seone coming off another season of shutdown coverage and ball Hawking interceptions opposite him we've got Stefan Gilmore the former defensive player of the year was brought in during free agency and it looks like he's locked down that starting spot this could potentially be one of the best cornerback Duos in the league Darren bland is listed as the nickel Corner which is a testament to how much he's developed since being drafted at safety we've got jron Kur holding down the strong safety spot his versatility and ability to play in the Box are huge for this defense at free safety Malik hooker returns as the starter his range and ball skills make him a perfect fit for Dan Quinn's scheme Donovan will son is listed as the third safety but don't be surprised to see a lot of three safety looks from this defense now let's talk special teams because this unit could be a real weapon for the cowos this year Brandon Aubrey is listed as the starting kicker which is a bit of a surprise the cbba brought in some competition for him but it looks like Aubrey has won the job at least for now Brian anger returns as the punter which is great news given how consistently excellent he's been cavanti Turpin is listed as both the kick and punt returner and after the explosiveness he showed last year that's no surprise so what does all this mean for the cbus prospects in 2024 well on paper this looks like one of the most talented rosters in the NFL the offense has a great mix of established stars and young Talent with the potential to be one of the most explosive units in the league Dak Prescott has a plethora of weapons at his dis osal and if the offensive line can stay healthy we could see some fireworks defensively this unit has the potential to be downright scary the decision to use Micah Parsons primarily as an edge rusher could pay huge dividends paing him with Demarcus Lawrence gives the cowos two Elite pass rushers which should make life miserable for opposing quarterbacks the secondary looks rock solid with the potential to create a lot of turnovers but as we all know games aren't one on paper the key for the cowos will be staying healthy and finding a way to translate all this Talent into consistent on field performance they've had talented rosters before but have struggled to get over the hump in the playoffs could this be the year they finally break through one thing is for sure the NFC East isn't going to be a cakewalk the Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl appearance the Giants showed a lot of improvement last year and the commanders are always tough the cbas are going to have to bring their game week in and week out as we wrap up I want to hear from you cbba Nation what do you think of this depth chart are there any surprises that caught your eye who do you think could be the breakout star this season and remember this is just
