New NFL OT rules, NFL teams to hire 1 minority offensive coach, Paul George back, Play In Outlook

what's up y'all welcome back to a brand new episode of carter sports coverage i'm your boy sb cash what's good i'm back it's your boy ryan back with it my dog and what's good man welcome back to a new episode so on this episode we got a couple things to get into it's not been too much going on on the trade front in the nfl this week um but it is some new news with some new nfl rules and things going on and i also want to discuss some cheap things about the chiefs and then in the nba uh we'll talk about paul george returning lakers falling to the 11th spot in the play-in probably the play-in spots the last four that's left for that so before i get into everything you know how we do shout out to feed me sandwich kings come get your you already know and shout out to dj more keep going hard you feel me now let's dig deep into this episode dive deep dive deep let's get it all right so on the nfl front bro the first thing i want to talk about is the new overtime rules bro the new overtime rules that are coming coming into effect for this upcoming nfl season where it is as y'all know we've been set in death if is no has it been there it was if you get the ball first and you go down and you score a field goal then that's going to get a chance but what if you're going down with score right away it's over right so it was low key sudden death if you score a touchdown but they started giving people i remember it used to just be straight period yeah but now then they get that for i don't know how long but now both teams will get a possession in overtime i like it yeah i'm going to say how do you feel about this i'm winning they went to uh college route low key it's definitely college i'm pretty sure they're not going to uh they're not going to follow all the way through college you know college you're getting what they're 25 something like that 20. college is close right right true i think it's going to it's going i want they're going to just you put me kick off like you do i don't know how they really going to do it like if you go down there and score so you're a quarter of it is it still like if you go down there and score right away it's over no no matter what the other team gets possessions but that loki makes it interesting because it's like say that team go down there and get three then you get the best thing you score you feel me that's why i feel like it kind of make it interesting yeah i'm with you i'm going with it especially you feel me after that uh my homes and right and josh allen because that was sad but see cincinnati made me i was like bro everybody's saying everybody need a fair shot in ot but yeah this and that he made me believe like it really don't matter about that like if you get your stop i mean yeah because everybody everybody thought they was done everybody already felt like if they were getting the ball back they was gonna go right down here and do the same thing right and it's for games like that games that everybody's clicking i feel like right everybody it's not fair scoring so they just keep going back and forth that's something that's better for business right so shout out to the new rule i think it'll make it fair for more teams and i think it can make it more interesting a lot of people was against it at first thinking it takes away the funding and soft to do but uh i think it'll make it more interesting next thing i want to talk about um so if y'all haven't heard the new news in the nfl is that all nfl teams must add a minority offensive coach that is the new news going into the 2022 season you don't like it explain well also and i want to say this expands the rooney rule as you all know the roney world's been there but this is not expanding the wounded rule to have women in to listen to the question of my own minorities they gotta interview either a female or a minority and you know how many you feel me people just know the main positions when it comes to coaching you know how many you feel me i'm not going to say really bs offensive line you know even even lower you feel me but you can be a scout they could have used they could have been doing anything break down the film that you could have somebody right there if you can't it's going to be i'm going to say you can't but it's going to be really hard to grow from that position and it'll give you a head coaching job and they got you somewhere buried down definitely just that have you on the staff right i don't really i don't mess with it they're going they're going they're going to figure out what they're going to figure a way to get around like you said i kind of agree with what you said it's like it's going it's okay for everybody people are happy for the rule because it's like yeah now we can get more black cultures like they don't know there's mine coaches in there but it's like i think it's gonna be like how you say it like you know it's only gonna be that if they're like the offensive coordinator or exactly i mean certain times you do see you yeah if you would like to turn it back quarterbacks but like bruh like it's really i feel like they're gonna have them down there tight ends oh i'm trying to tell you what right i don't know it's gonna be it's gonna be just like how ryan's saying bro like so but i do i shout out to the rule and it's good to make it fair to everybody i mean dale trying yeah you he trying yeah he's trying to do what people you know this ain't like the nba bro it's the nfl that's what i'm saying they are trying to do something that's all right and they said something too i heard some of you coming because them they're billionaires they it's basically you you feel me you're telling the billionaire to do with this business like you've got to hire this person they're not feeling it and i know they know i know a lot of them but you know it is the rule so we'll see how we'll see if it actually leads to more minority head coaches because that's really i feel like the english right like you know what i mean so for the last thing i want to talk about the nfl is the chiefs um they basically how i want to talk about they have a whole new receiver room really if you really look at it because uh tariq hill's gone brian gonna have a whole new i mean robertson going to hear it so it's like they have miko harmon juju smith now and marquez about scantling how do you feel like we're so accustomed to the chiefs being so dangerous and then as we know a lot of that's for pat from pacquiao but i feel like man you know they still got kelsey let's steal kelsey had tight ends so that's the best in the game they still got the best target in the game do you think these receivers can they can win a championship with these receivers yeah but listen it might not have to be listen i feel like he was doing that low key last year it might not have to be you know over over the top big explosive plays and if you feel me the homes ball control with these receivers move them sticks you feel me every now and then take a shot i think he still can get it done so like yeah i like juju if he can come in now there's be taking the top off yeah i like walk for the packers definitely still you feel me definitely you can take the topic they still got uh miko he's still fast he can do some things but he was like that's gonna wait for him to train right he he he he's a good receiver he has some sometimes last year but it's like you know he's always been playing from that second third row third all of these teams all of these guys been second third except for that year juju was the number one and i ain't really working yeah that was like when mason rudolph was a quarterback am i not mistaken that's when julian was after a b left or my trip no i've been and he had one he had he had he was the one with ben oh this is because he won the mvp over the team over a b and that's when everything started falling down okay so like i guess that's the only true one that's been a number one so uh i'm just interested to see i i don't know i think it changes a lot because look pringle was huge people don't talk about that brian pringle he was kind of huge for them last year he was like they poured out he made a couple couple play demarcus roberts used to come in clutch clutch time for him and then of course he'll like the production from hill is gonna have to be made up so i mean i think juju and him i don't think he could get him there yeah i think it's the biggest the biggest thing is pat's still there it's gonna take them risks from he can't take the same risk and he still has a security blanket in traffic as long as he got that to get moved to change on third down i think the other receivers will make you work with the players now let's switch it to the nba let's switch it to the nba last night as y'all know paul george has been out for like two months and a half he made his well-awaited return last night and actually got a win on the utah jazz he dropped 34.6 assists oh that's what he did yes sir he's turning up i know he came with the 34 feet came out and inserted it 346 you said 346. so i i knew i was thinking he was gonna come back you know not really a hundred i don't know if he's a hundred percent or not i was i wasn't expecting 34 from him i was thinking come back about 20 or something maybe um i thought he was gonna be a mini restriction but it looked like they played him so how how do you think this affects the clippers outlook coming into because they're the egg spot in the play-in i like i mean the clippers got a nice i like how they was playing without them they'll be playing they're taking they play or they'll be playing the timberwolves and playing if everything ends they could be with paul george i feel like it changes things i was picking the timberwolves to just beat them right right right yeah right but i don't think the clip is a chance with pg i might just have to change that everyone still got some [ __ ] some some proven to do i like the timberwolves they scrappy this year getting beverly and carl's playing a lot better right a lot better i didn't really hurt so much but the angela boxing the big cat bowling um i didn't heard too much about he's been hurting he's been hurt a lot this season and all but i know d'angelo's playing better this year than he did when he first got there last year so uh yeah i just wanted i was shouting out paul george man coming back putting a big game from that point 13 no more uh playoff team they were saying if the clippers make a deep playoff run we may see kawhi i doubt it i just don't think they're gonna make a deep breath even if they did they just took them about like it would have to be like western conference finals for brothers and it's just like at that point do you really what you're going to do right like the chemistry already rolling so yeah shout out paul george uh i i'm gonna pick the clippers if they take the timberwolves into play next thing i want to talk about lakers last night of course we played the mavs no lebron uh we fall out the 10 spot to the 11th but the truth about it is we're really tied with the spurs but i believe they own the tiebreaker on this so they fall to that that's fine because they just got it they just beat you so uh what i want to say y'all know how i feel like i only think we should make the plan everybody still wants the lakers to do it i get it from the nba standpoint you got to get lebron right so people watch like ratings but like bro but then it's like bro pelican spurs is going to be brutal too brutal to watch i mean who would i probably going to take the pelicans just because they got cj um that's one of them terrible but i just yeah lakers fall to 11. it's just looking worse and worse i do i do i feel like they were talking about shopkins you know i mean what you think [Music] but if it was my choice i would rather keep brian and shop a.d because brown is not the problem at all like you feel me i i do blame them for bringing the team together but like his performance this year anything injured like even starting don't be right he definitely still dropping 30. he leading the league in points i think right 28 yeah so shout out to brian but the lakers fall out eleven there's about seven six games left they have time to say fans i think they do because i don't think the spurs the spurs have a favorable schedule like they they they play they play the blazers twice in these next seven games like it's good game play at all this year he did but it's been like a month or two boy over a month like nothing about him all year yeah he ain't been playing they was really tanking but they're like they're right it's like the lakers been so bad that they've caught this well not the blazers i'm just talking about this as far as they caught up but like yeah lasers they're uh i think they're behind the spiders just behind us actually yeah no lakers behind behind us is the blazers then we talk about the east play in the east plain right now we looking at the cavs going against the nets um that's a good matchup but i don't feel like nobody's going to take the cavs but where is it going to be that's huge where's it going to be if it's in cleveland hold up no if it's in brooklyn can kyrie play or that mandate already yeah i think yeah he played in there for the right i think he i think it's so i think they at least get past the play-in part they better at least beat the cavs yeah you know what i mean they shouldn't even be there but you think what i'm saying go ahead and blow it upside down then the last game you're looking at in the east for the play-in would be the hornets isaiah thomas is looking good with them coming off that bench i mean i've seen it right he's look like he's giving him that lift they need off that bench man they got montreal now they were saying they're going over there and they they would be going against the atlanta hawks the hawks was out of it but they fought their way back to the play-in spot there that would be a good series and right now the east play-in is kind of looking like a lot because the knicks are four and a half games back so either the hornets or the hawks will have to fall a lot in these last couple games or the knicks would just and the knicks would have to get high and i just don't see that happen four and a half games it's only like seven games you feel me so i think that's a lot hawks will go against the hornets i would take i'm taking the hornets that's a good pick though let's no they post they post me pj not pj uh smiles yeah yeah yeah he'd be going crazy they they hold they hold up they got a nice everybody's a nice little score on their team bro so i like that so shout police department release something i'm like oh okay the same stage i know they ain't got that but sorry to get the police department in on it right let me how you feel brother was he right was he wrong was it like that's why i feel if he for me if he felt like he was disrespecting his wife he could have smacked me but he could have waited till after the stage or he could have went up to him from behind the scenes or something like that he ain't just have to go smack him in front of the air buddy what if he would have chris rock with a reactor they would have just really been sitting here fighting on the step down you feel me that's what i know how that looked i mean i'm wrong understand that but what you feel no listen bro listen did i feel like i don't well i'm never going like people been saying will smith should get his award to because he did all that like i'm with will smith like he's always i've always been a fan of his but i feel like he's wrong in this situation like a couple jokes about people in the crowd everybody laughs and they get to the show like that's basically what creepy rock was doing and then the junkies hit a little too hard this time it was for me she going through she had she got a little condition or something i will say i'm it's like 20 percent chris rock for me because i understand him standing up for his life i just feel like it didn't even deserve that reaction right then if he would have smacked him behind this thing he could have definitely addressed yeah if he would have been off-stage i don't think anybody wouldn't even be tripping but it was like right in front of everybody bears bro why he trying to present something like he came up there smacking but like shout out to i think it worked in both their favors we'll end up winning the oscars and chris rock's uh comedy that's a weird way black excellence works i feel like man you know what i mean they both won off the situation so shout out the wheels out at this rock
