Bachelorette Jenn Talk & Sam M.'s Family Losing it on Social Media

n [Music] [Music] what's happening everybody Welcome Back Sunday Night Live stream I know we took a week off last week but we're back this week and we'll be back every Sunday night in the month of August and then probably starting that first Friday in September we will be uh we'll be going pro well that week we're taking off because I'll be out of town Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday but the following Friday which would be the September 13th we'll be back probably going to be doing it on Friday nights so we've got that uh thank you for all coming in I appreciate it we'll let people name of the song yeah hold on now we all know why Ray puit is only spelled with one t right you know the answer to this question don't you if you don't we probably can't be friends the reason why Ray PR is only spelled with one t because according to Ray it's all his mama could afford I don't know you know you know I told you a couple weeks ago the backstory to Lone Pine mul versus Twin Pine Maul for Back to the Future do you know the whole story of Ray puit actor Jamie Walters being taken off the show why he was written off 90210 it's a great one but if you don't know it I'll share it with you briefly so we we remember in the season finale of season five the season that Ray joined the show sophomore year of college Ray joined the show and then season five finale they went to Palm Springs and remember he pushed Donna down the stairs well in that off seon Aaron Spelling Tori Spelling's father who created the show got so much heat from people because they were saying Donna shouldn't be with an abuser don't let her be with this guy he's hurting her and Aaron Spelling wanting to protect his daughter went to the writers before season six and says yeah we can't have him on the show anymore Don is getting too much heat because of who she's dating Ray puit so the fans were blurring the line between fiction and reality and were complaining that Donna was dating this guy even though this was just acting he wasn't abusing her in real life they weren't a couple As far as I know yet Aaron Spelling said get them off the show can't have this for my daughter and so the writers had to find a way to write Ray off the show in season 6 which which they did and if you remember what that storyline was it was him getting in a fight with Joe Bradley the quarterback at CU and then him making up some bogus legal action hey maybe Ray puit and Laura Owens could have been a couple in another lifetime so he makes up this bogus story about how Joe injured him and broke his arm or something took him to court over this like a broke arm I don't know so but um Brandon talked some sense into Ray and just said look you know you know that Joe was just defending himself he didn't so Ray actually comes clean on the stand and says no it wasn't basically not that big of a deal and they sent him away and then if you don't remember at the beginning of season end of season six beginning of SE yeah end of season six Ray actually comes back but he's all rehabilitated uh because he um well I I think Jamie Walters was pretty upset I had heard he signed for a million dollars on the show and then Aaron Spelling said we got to write him off so he lasted like first 10 episodes of season six and because they didn't want to do him dirty like that and him being known as this girlfriend beater and abuser they came back and gave him a Redemption Arc he worked with Donna and David on a video he had a new girlfriend I think he was engaged to her and Donna ended up basically forgiving him and saying I'm glad you got went and got help like I told you to it's a whole thing but it was just amazing that that had to happen because the fans were so upset that Donna had an abusive boyfriend that they couldn't they didn't want her with him and they got up mad it got back to Aaron Spelling and he told the writers no write this guy off the show gotta love it gotta love it when uh TV is blurred between fiction and reality all right so Marilyn just said that is my favorite shirt you've worn so far oh I've got another 50 you're gonna like some other ones I guarantee it um but I've definitely got some other ones in the closet ready ready to go some TV show stuff some movie stuff more Beverly Hills 902 and0 shirts more Back to the Future shirts more Karate Kid shirts those are the three ones that I have the most of couple Teen Wolf ones but um I do like this one this is this is good because who doesn't want to see Ry performing live at the Peach Pit after dark something that you realize you can't even watch anymore because the music wasn't renewed on the DVDs you can't the episodes are basically missing if you go to watch Beverly Hills 902 and0 on Hulu or Paramount plus any episode that had singing in it is not in you can't even watch it on streaming you can watch them on the DVDs but on the DVDs all the music scenes are cut so you'll never see Ray puit you'll never see Jamie Walters performing on the peach pit at the Peach Pit after dark on any of the DVDs you can't find it anywhere outside of bh90210 restored Instagram account but that one doesn't play full episodes it literally plays clips of every episode so it'll take you a while to find where he performs and anyway uh I want to get I want to get into the Sam mckenny stuff because this thing is totally ridiculous now I do want to say this his family is probably watching they're obsessed with the edit that Sam is getting and they are all over the place with their thoughts and their takes and they're obviously new to this like I've been doing this close to 20 years they are obviously new to this they're very naive to the process but they're listening to every single thing that everybody says about their son and I get it they want to defend their son I I totally understand why they're in defense of it but they're going about it the wrong way and you'll see when I pull up uh these these tweets uh these messages from them that have been posted on social media the first one I'm going to bring up is probably one of the most important ones and the reason I'm bringing it up is because you can no longer find it but good thing people know know how to screenshot things and send them to me so um let's bring this one up and blow it up a little bit so this one is ABC Bachelor at ABC released a video over the weekend a screener for tomorrow night's episode where Jen and Sam McKinny are on the Skyfall date and the clip makes it seem like Sam wants her to be uncomfortable she's uncomfortable with Heights and she doesn't want to do it and Sam's basically likei want her uh to be comfortable to be uncomfortable or something like that and I'm not even talking about that clip but Ed kirtley his brother-in-law sure is and Ed his brother-in-law says you guys should be ashamed with how you're portraying Sam wait till we start posting what was really going on with this show even what happened with Jen last season Ed has since deleted that because I'm sure show got to Sam and said tell your brother-in-law to shut up you can't be saying this stuff because why else would Ed delete it because Ed if you're gonna say things why don't you stand behind what you say and not delete what you say so he says that and I don't even know what he's talking about of what happened with Jen last season but these people talk a very big game so I'd love to see them follow up and tell us all these things that is happening with Sam and we'll get to some more but I wanted to put this one up first because it's no longer on the internet Ed has deleted that so just know that his sister Olivia posted on her Instagram story yesterday even though she's private again someone screenshot it and sent it to me saying Bachelor at ABC you can silence your contestants but you can't silence me free speech hash free speech Let's Tell the truth okay Olivia while that is true you have to understand something the only reason you would know anything about what happened to Sam on the show is because he told you that would be in violation of his NDA so anything that you say while you are not under contract which she isn't because Sam never made it to hometowns while she's not under contract her sharing something we all know is coming directly from Sam she's basically his mouthpiece as is every other family member that he has because they've all taken to the internet to share things about Jen their thoughts on this season their thoughts on the editing which we're gonna get to but I thought this was funny because she's like I've got free speech I can say whatever I want sure you can but people who love to scream about Free Speech never seem to understand that Free Speech does not mean freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences and there will be consequences from this show if you just start blab about things that you're technically not supposed to know about just keep that in mind moving forward let's go to this one someone said this was a A in the video Sam saying he wants her to be comfortable with being uncomfortable on the Skyfall date yeah so he can eventually get away with doing things that make her uncomfortable in the future his sister chimes in but God forbid that Jen Tran asked them to get uncomfortable and strip on National Television okay well Sam also posted an Instagram story of him on the stripping date last week saying it was the most owering he's ever felt in his life so was he uncomfortable on the stripping date or did he feel empowering which which one is it let's get our story straight here mcken family next one Bachelor burner account or Bachelor burner Instagram said to Olivia your brother said he was extremely comfortable and in his element on the strip date girl what I just said and you know damn well Jen doesn't plan the date so stop blaming her to which Olivia chimed in so we're acknowledging that producers do what they want without regard to how people look or feel in an answer Olivia yes maybe you should have I don't know read the contract before your brother went on the show if you don't know by now in season 49 of this show that's been on the air for 20 years what production can do and what editing can do unfortunately that's on you the contestants and seemingly the contestants family now because this isn't new ask any past contestant especially ask any past contestant who didn't like their edit which is what Sam doesn't like Sam has probably been told and been fed by his own family over and over again how great he is and he's probably never done anything wrong his life and this is the first time he's ever suffered severe criticism from the public so I get it he's never been through this before but this isn't the way to go about correcting it you know why because you're never going to win against ABC's edit it's just not gonna happen you're not gonna win I don't care how loud you scream from the mountaintops about this nobody's gon to care because they are going to care more about what the show is giving him now I'm not saying some of the things that he's done I've even come out and said there are absolutely some things that Sam is saying that is being Franken bitten and I'm saying don't pay attention to things where we don't see Sam's face and his lips moving however there have been plenty of other instances this season where we have seen Sam's face and his lips moving where he has been very disparaging towards Devin and coming across as a narcissistic a-hole and just a guy who was clearly all about himself very self-absorbed and talking in a dialect that I don't even understand because when he talks to the guys and gets worked up especially towards Devon he speaks with an accent that I don't think is Myrtle Beach but then when he talks to Jen talks like a normal dude so explain that to me I don't really understand that next one this person wrote back to Olivia obviously if she felt uncomfortable and scared and saw that he was pushing her too far out of her comfort zone he would he could comfort her and not follow through with the jumping and if he felt too uncomfortable with stripping which it sure didn't seem like it then Jen seems understanding just like she was with the other Sam and wouldn't pressure anyone into doing that Olivia once again portrayed the way they want you to see it very generic very vague doesn't really go into many examples there or what the examp Le is that she's talking about so we just have to be like okay just you keep telling us well they're not focusing on this and they're not focusing on that all right next one Hannah sister of Sam let's all see the footage Bachelor at ABC I'm waiting someone responds to her Were You There Little Miss producer L ma your family is so weird and incestuous for this one and then Hannah said I'm sorry that your family doesn't defend you like we do ours yes we're very well aware every single one any every single person that's related to Sam has jumped on the internet defending him and defending his edit we get it and then this person responded back you know you can hold your family members accountable for their bad behavior and still love them isn't that a wild concept next one she responded to that person saying that again they only show you the scenes that they want you to see remember a lot is taken out of context and not everything is shown before you go talking about bad behavior again I'm only going to refer to the scenes where we have seen Sam talking to the camera and there have been plenty of those where he has seen saying some rude things and seemingly thinking he's better than other people I'm not even talking about this clip that they previewed for tomorrow night's episode where they're making it seem like Jen doesn't want to jump I do the Skyfall and Sam's making her do it hell Jen just jumped out of a plane last episode or two episodes ago with Marcus I'm guessing you know that's with a guy strapped to your back the Skyfall she's strapped in it's not like she's again having to jump like I yeah was she nervous probably but she just jumped out of a plane so that's why why I'm not even I don't even give a crap really about this Skyfall jump with Sam and how they're editing it to make it seem like I'm not even gonna give him crap for that because that probably was Franken bitten and shown saying thing shown out of place I'm talking about the other stuff we've already seen about I don't know last week where he goes in after the after uh the group date Afterparty and he's literally climbing on top of Jen where it seems like she didn't want any part of that did you find that that was necessary is that good I don't know Godlike Behavior since he seems to be really reaching towards God during all this think go you think he appreciated that Jen didn't moving on help rescue dogs said hey Hannah you don't have to well she didn't say hey Hannah but writing at Hannah you don't have to defend your brother so hard the viewers can see Sam's are hear the words he speaks your brother acts and speaks like a bully he can learn from mistakes and become a better man what if he continues being a bully and ends up getting arrested in the future Sam won't be happy if he ends up in jail prison he isn't a bully and never has been again they cut out so much that you aren't getting the true context okay it's just the same stuff I'm ready for the bachelor at ABC to show all the context they've left out this person said then who would be the villain true so would I what is the context here and then under the video that Sam did about his date this is what Sam even wrote smoke and mirrors that's what that emoji is smoke and a mirror so here he is and remember he wrote this smoke in mirrors so he's basically saying what you're seeing on TV is not what really happened okay gotcha Sam and then Seth his brother that he lives with says if only they showed footage of other people being the bully and Sam and Thomas actually being good guys again are you saying that Sam and Thomas never said anything whatsoever towards Devin and never said anything that made them remotely seem like a bully you're saying it never happened they never did anything they never disliked Devon and they were complimentary of Devon the whole time or are you just saying hey others were doing it too why aren't you showing them because the others are doing it too doesn't change the fact that Sam and Thomas were doing it as well if they want to focus on Sam and Thomas I don't know what to say tough titties like sorry dude like it's it's the way the show works if you don't want it don't go on the show then his parents got into it this was sent to bachelornation docop couple couple hours ago um on Facebook his parents are talking and they said there's nothing real about reality TV to destroy someone's character and manipulate the truth through editing is so wrong on so many levels isn't it interesting that the first night favorite is now being made into a villain there are several spoilers out there for who she chooses in the end that you can Google for yourself Sam is a good guy regardless of how he is portray betrayed even though she meant to say portrayed and I will no longer sit idly by and not speak up hey the bachette it's called free speech at least mine is honest which is more than they can say boy this family is just just digging themselves a grave here then Daddy O chimes in actually he went first I have choose my I I choose my words wisely I have sat idly by this week watching my son a complete wreck on how he was portrayed Sam has mostly been the favorite with the first impression Rose Etc the spoiler was revealed and in my opinion the network by the way thank you to Susan and Jeff for talking about the spoiler as that was the only person who gave the spoiler two weeks after filming ended long before the show even started and here are Susan and Jeff basically directing people to my spoiler thanks Mom and Dad appreciate it the spoiler was revealed and in my opinion the network had to paint Sam as this horrendous guy in order for Jen not to look like a complete idiot now I know why the network offers free counseling for one year after the show I feel this episode was all fabricated with cut and paste senten and scenes can't change what we said what what he said and how he said it might be the most logical thing anybody from that family has said yet can't change what he said and how he said it no you can't but they can change the scene script in context and totally change the delivery that's the way I feel feel free to share this hashtag stand with st with Sam what I swear if if there's a hashtag Justice for Sam Twitter account that started because of this I guess the the five members will be Olivia Seth Hannah Susan and Jeff but just now here's the thing that I find hilarious about all this if that wasn't hilarious enough for you the fact that Sam today after calling Jen out having his family called Jen out his brother-in-law making a reference to you can't wait till I tell you what Jen did last season okay tell us get in more trouble please but so Sam today decides you know what I'm gonna do I'm gonna do a Q&A on Instagram stories just so people can get to know me better did you see that did you see Sam doing a Q&A today and he did it clearly because he wants people to not see him for how the show is portraying him and just pretend like he's the greatest guy ever and I took a screenshot of some of these and then I just stopped but a couple of them were does your necklace represent something what is your most meaningful tattoo what's your favorite Taylor Swift song it's like Sam I get what you're trying to do I get you're trying to rehab your image right now but honestly no one gives a [ __ ] about those things it's kind of like when Britney Spears before um she won her case remember when she was doing those q&as and she's like all right guys I'm gonna answer some of your questions and they're like what's your favorite color like Britney these aren't the questions we wanted we these aren't the questions we want answers to from you we want to know if you're being held hostage we want to know what is going on with your family stuff remember when she started doing those this is exactly what Sam did today like Sam I'm guessing these people really don't want to know that and I would have loved to have seen the questions he was actually receiving but we know he can't answer those however he did take one of them and he wanted to answer it so let's look at the one answer one question he got about the show and how he answered it you pour into family and friends and the people that truly know you and know your character and you listen to everything that they have to say and that gives you your reassurance and then with all the hate you just filter it you take what you can apply to yourself make yourself better and the things that you can't they're just full of hate you just throw them out the window you can't do nothing about it okay did that go through did that video go through Brad if you're there can you tell me did you guys see that video okay it went through all right so I let's watch I I just want to watch it again cuz I I screwed up but let's watch it again it's only 20 seconds or whatever you pour into family and friends and the people that truly know you and know your character and you listen to everything that they have to say and that gives you your reassurance and then with all the hate you just filter it you take what you can apply to yourself make yourself better and the things that you can't they're just full of hate you just throw them out the window okay I mean it's good advice the only problem is he's not following any of of it now he's making it seem like he's totally unbothered by the criticism that he's receiving online and it's just like hey man God's got a better plan for me these people are just projecting on me and it's it's them it's not me it's like okay then Sam while that's great advice to give the problem is you're not following it because you're writing smoke and mirrors in the captions under ABC's videos you're having your family do all your dirty work for you and comment on every single thing and argue with people who comment about him online so clearly it's totally bothering you that you're getting criticized for being on this show it's like what's that saying tell me you're not bothered by what's how you're how you're getting edited on the show without telling me you're not bothered by how you're being edited on the show like it is so obvious he does not know how to deal with this and look not everybody does I'm not saying that he's the first person that doesn't know how to deal with criticism from the show he's not the first and he won't be the last what I'm saying is he's going about it all wrong and I know the show is enth thrilled with him and here's the other thing I want you all to remember what Sam is doing right now and his family is doing right now because I guarantee you I bet your sweet ass that when we start rolling around to Bachelor in Paradise next summer the hate for you know we got another we got another group of women and another group of guys that are going to be we're going to see on our screens the next bachelor's women and the next bachelorette's guys along with Joey's women who will all be part of season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise next summer so we'll have two more seasons that people will have to form opinions about the men and women in this franchise Sam will be long forgotten so I just want want you to keep this all in mind it's very easy for him to say now whatever he's saying about oh this says I'm you know moving on or whatever and he's so bothered by the edit that he's getting and they're singling him out and this wasn't what he said and this wasn't what he did and that's great and all however I just want you to keep in mind you know the production of this show is gonna approach him next April next May and ask him to come down to paradise and they're going to promise him a Redemption edit Sam if you don't know this I'm telling you that's what they are going to do they are going to try and get him on Paradise next summer and if he goes down to Paradise next summer just remember all the things that he's doing right now because if he goes down to Paradise next summer and they do him dirty again and he's begging for forgiveness and he's begging for not forgiveness but begging for I can't believe you know this edit that's because the only way they could get him down to Paradise next summer is if they promised him a Redemption Arc so they'll tell him that because that's the only way they could even consider him signing on the dotted line because he's so upset at the way he was portrayed because he's gonna be like why would I go back on this show after what you guys did to me how many times have we seen this in the history of the show where somebody who got a poor edit ends up on Paradise it's going to happen I can say it right now and I know his family will chime in and say say oh he's not going to go on Paradise no way we're never going to deal with this show again come back to me in nine months from now April or May when they're gonna try and get Sam on Paradise I think he'll end up doing it Assuming he's not in a relationship all right I want to bring her in you know her as a pop culture Enthusiast uh she was on the podcast a couple weeks ago I want to bring her in right now to talk some Bachelor and or Bachelor right and we'll talk some love Island because I need her to explain it to me let's bring her in it is Morgan P Morgan how are you hi I'm good how are you I'm good um I don't know did you happen to catch the first 30 minutes of this um no I did not I was recapping the Olympics I was watching uh Team USA on the gymnast floor what happened did Simone biles get a 10.0 what happened she did very well yes she's struggling through an injury I think she's trying to downplay it but she did really good I did see that she had a brace on her left ankle but then she went out and did some Triple sacow Flip or whatever she did what Simone biles does yeah yeah she's really good um so I I I basically what we've been talking about for the first 30 minutes is I don't know if you've seen every single member of Sam McKenna's family it I I I don't know if we've even gotten to like third cousins once removed but every brother every sister mom and dad are all just running to the internet saying my son's a good guy the edit is destroying him that's not what he said that's not what he did I mean it's like clockwork with this show whoever doesn't get a good edit complains about it and look I think there are things that have been shown this season that have been Franken bitten and you can tell um are sound bites but there have also been plenty of things that I've seen this season where we see Sam's face we see his lips moving and he clearly is doing things that are very bully likee shall we say it's a tale of oldest time when it comes to this show and I they're just going about it all wrong it's just not looking good it's so interesting as well like when you see the way that his family has reacted on social media all it does in my opinion is make him look worse yeah like I I dislike him even more so now and I get it like they're his family they're going to do that type of stuff although I feel like I haven't seen a family really get this involved no um but it's it's little things like the sister you know saying oh this was completely taken out of context well how do you know that like you weren't there you you didn't see what got cut on the editing floor so the whole thing I'm just like rolling my eyes at the whole thing and I think it's safe to say that it runs in the family well while she wasn't there or any of the family members weren't there they seemed to being under the impression that well we're not under contract so we can speak to what happened and clearly they're getting what really happened from Sam which would be a violation of his NDA so I think they can say Free Speech all they want because they're hashtagging free speech on everything they say yeah but you're technically gonna get your brother in trouble if you do so they're basically got their hands tied behind their back all they can say is this isn't what really happened just know there's more to the story and it's like well if the show's not going to show it I think they're screwed yeah and I think I saw his dad had a hashtag like iand with Sam I'm like it is not that serious like you guys need to take it down a couple notches because I stand with Sam is a little unhinged no it is it's like what it's just okay he's getting a bad at it the other thing about the mother and the father and their Facebook posts was they were like they had to make Sam out after the first episode it's just like it just seems like you're just upset that your son isn't getting a bunch of praise and look like I said I get it like family members are coming to their brother's defense it's not a bad thing that they're coming to defense but the problem is the end result is they're not going to win many people over if one they can't provide examples and two most people aren't really running to the internet to see oh how is Sam's family disputing what this was or how is they disputing what this was all they're saying is you're not understanding context there's more to it and it's like okay but you're never gonna win against this Show's edit ever yeah they just don't get they're new to this it's their first season and you kind of want to just say like unfortunately the show's been on 49 Seasons if you don't know by now that anytime you sign to go on the show you have the ability to just get railroaded by editing right then maybe don't go on the show right you have to sign your life away essentially and that is a risk that everyone knows that they have to take I know and I just there's a part of me that feels a little sorry for him but then when the family piles on I'm like no I don't because I don't know if you saw what he did today he did a c i don't did you see what he did today on Instagram so he did a Q&A of hey get to know me Q&A ask me any questions that you want to know about me which is clearly like I want to repair my image right now but he didn't want to put it that way it was obvious what he was doing and people were asking him what's your favorite Taylor Swift song and Sam people don't want to know this they don't care I guarantee writing in his own questions and they're just like what is your necklace mean and all this stuff and it's like honestly Sam nobody really wants to know that I would love to see the questions that actually filled up his Q&A box right because I guarantee they were all about Jen and his editing and why are you a bully and stuff like that but he knows he couldn't answer it but he did do one video where he said how are you dealing how do you deal with all the hate going on and it just was like the total opposite of how he's acting yeah you know these people I just got to put it past me and they're projecting on me that's you know that's on them and I'm just moving past it and God is on my side and it's just like but you're totally acting not that way yeah and you're having your family Do Your Dirty Work by by going online and commenting to everything that's being said about you you know that family group text is popping off and like he is giving the cues mom on Facebook at 12 o'clock dad at 2 o'clock sister responded to Instagram comments and like I said it just it does the opposite of what they're hoping that it would do it like for me coming into it I understand look I've watched The Bachelor since the very beginning we all know this I know that you know people are not as great as they make them out to be and they're also not as terrible as they make them out to be and you chalk it up to being a reality TV show um and I felt like I got that I'm not a huge Sam fan at this current moment in time on the show I just feel like even even his energy it's not so much things that he says it's just like his demeanor and the way that he walks and talks and acts that I don't like and it's like you can't edit someone's personality that much to where they're a complete shell of like who they actually are so I just feel like they're not they're really just not doing themselves any favors with this yeah I think I'm I'm in agreement I don't hate Sam I don't I'm just I don't hate anybody in this franchise yeah up maybe one guy but I you know I don't I it doesn't but that's more for not anything that I'm showed on TV like anything I see on TV I'm not taking it out as oh my God I hate that guy I'm am I a fan of how he's acted for three episodes no and and I and I do think he comes across as very self-absorbed very you know has probably gotten by on looks his whole life and he is just kind of he thinks he's hot you know he's hot stuff and to me it's just offputting to you know to me some people might think some women women are defending him and it's probably because they think he's hot so they're going to say like oh it's not that bad what he's doing it's like I'm not saying he's the most he's the worst person in the world I'm not saying he's the worst villain this Show's ever had he certainly I don't think he is there's been way worse villains than him yeah but I also don't think he's had he's done very well for himself on this show and I think he comes across as a kind of a know-it-all and kind of like he thinks he's got things in the bag and just the way he talks to other people and how he talks to them not for me you know I also think it's it's interesting that what we're in like week three and they're coming in this hot to like defend him where I feel like it all it takes is one episode really for your entire perception on somebody to change I mean we went through that I feel like a lot with the season of Love Island which I know we're going to talk about uh in a minute but it's like one episode you could not stand somebody and then all it took was one episode of seeing a different side to that person and people are like oh okay it's not that bad so I feel like they just need to kind of let the season season progress I feel like I'm not spoiled so uh don't spoil me but I feel like just based on the context clues we know that Sam is not going home like tomorrow right he's gonna have to stay at least a little bit of time he gets his he gets his first one-on-one tomorrow there has to be a reason why Jen likes him and hopefully you know they'll give him some sliver I feel like he's giving l P energy I've seen that comparison online which like looking back I don't know if if Luke P ever got like a Redemption Arc no he but maybe Sam maybe Sam will so you mentioned love Island we we'll move on from Sam because I just spent the first 40 minutes talking about Sam I know there's got to be at least one person of his family member that I know is watching this his his brother-in-law has commented on my past video so I'm guessing somebody if not both of them uh or mother father brother-in-law sisters brother I they're watching or if they're not watching they're going to get it's going to get back to them and I guess my advice to them would just be lay low you're not gonna win continually saying this every single week that the edit sucks and they're not providing context you're just never gonna win so you might as well stop trying so I want to go to love Island and the reason why I want to go to love island is because I didn't watch one second of it but I'm very well aware of just the headlines that I see so I've got a couple things that I want to ask because just following you and seeing you and your husband in overalls on the couch watching this I'm like these two are immersed in this show we were in it deep we were in it very very deep and and I saw and then I and then because I didn't understand the overalls thing and then I see uh you know a a u a teaser for a Nick vial podcast and there's a guy on his couch wearing overalls I'm like oh this must be what Mor's husband was copying Okay so I guess my first question would be this one girl that's blowing up Leah who's now at over two million followers and by the way everyone who talks about people going on The Bachelor for the and The Bachelorette for the wrong reasons and going on for Instagram followers while that may be the case it's kind of the wrong show to be going on to build your Instagram following base like love the Netflix shows are the way or where to go now like it's not even close what the what these love island people are are drawing compared to Bachelor and bachor contestants but a digress Leah got up to two million she's over two million followers right now I know nothing about her story other than I don't think she made it to the end with a final couple I know she didn't win I saw the names of the people who won she got to the end with somebody yeah oh but they didn't they weren't voted as the winner what place did they get second they got second okay is she with the guy that she's that ended she ended the show with is she still with him they're not nobody really technically put put it any labels on anything except for the fourth place couple which was Kendall and Nicole which everyone thinks that they have already broken up we can get into that if you want to but um the rest of the final three kind of wanted to see how it was going to be in the outside world which honestly I commend them for that because it's night it's night and day there's no comparison you're in this little bubble you don't have your cell phone you don't have social media you have nothing um so it's really easy to have that like I be your boyfriend conversation in that environment and then you go and somebody lives in LA and somebody lives in Texas and somebody lives in the UK and it's like this is never going to work out so um they are still interested in pursuing a relationship and very much so into each other um but they're not official are any of the couples the four couple was there four that made it to the end that were voted on are any of the four from the same city so the winners Serena and Cordell originally are both from Texas um but Serena just recently moved to LA um Cordell also revealed after the show that he is moving to La as well so he said that before love Island he was looking to move to maybe Miami or um Las Vegas but La wasn't on his uh you know short list of places to live but after meeting Serena and wanting to move I believe they're from from Houston wanting to move from Houston he's going to move to LA is Cordell is that the one that's Odell Beckham's brother yes okay who did Odell sign Odell was with I can't remember who he signed with this office I want to say the no not the Ravens I think he went to the Dolphins maybe that's why he said Miami because I think yeah maybe I think he signed with the dolphins okay um I could be wrong though uh so Leah why I mean I I know that a lot of people have grown their followership from this show why did why is she the the um Golden Child why is she over two million and no one else has even I think reached a million what was her story did she get dumped by somebody earlier in the show and everyone felt sorry for her is she just coming across very likable what's her deal it's interesting because Leah was one of those people who kind of for me at least I went through a journey with Leah where at the beginning I I wasn't sold and she was like one of the ones where all it took was one episode for me to like flip the light switch and all of a sudden I'm a Leah Stan there's nothing that really sticks out as like this pivotal moment where she became a fan favorite I just think that she was she was very funny and she was in a group of three girls that everybody liked these three girls together um they call themselves The PPG the Powerpuff Girls um they actually ended up in the final three so I feel like half of it really had nothing to do with the couples it was just the fact that everybody loved these three together and uh you know a lot of interviews throughout the show um you know with ex Islanders and even with like Ariana on after sun everybody kept mentioning I love your guys' friendships this season I love the girls you know the girls are putting the guys in their place and they're really having each other's backs so I feel like that was just a new layer that we haven't seen in previous Seasons of Love Island where we have a really really strong group of girls that stood by each other and I mean I love all of them Serena Leah and Jana they are all so fun but I don't know why Leah is like so much further ahead of Jana and Serena they just both passed a million too um but I will say like the Leah stands they stand her so hard and to be able to cultivate like a following like that I give her props I don't really understand it but I do still like her a lot did she surpass 2 million before or after the call her daddy appearance I think it was after but she was really steady climbing and and you know she um she had this big breakup with overall guy Rob at the beginning of the season and then she stayed in this couple with a guy named Miguel who she ended up getting um second place with but I just feel like um it kept growing her follower account kept growing growing growing growing and people saw Serena and Cordell and that's the winners of the season and they were like they were the cutest couple hands down they went through a lot of difficult times but they overcame it and I personally came to really love them together they were super cute and I remember having this thought in my head like Leah before we got to the finale Leah was like approaching a million followers and I was like Serena and Cordell are gonna lose just because people like Leah so much and like it really has no I don't want to say it has nothing to do with her couple because she wasn't a couple but they were not like lovey-dovey as Serena and Cordell um I think a lot of that has to do with the edit I think a good example of that is their last dates everybody got at least like I would say anywhere from like um eight to 11 minutes which you know in like TV Land is a long freaking time and Miguel and Lee's date was like five minutes long so if that kind of I know we studied how these shows work so if that kind of puts it into perspective on how they were edited but I will say I think their relationship is a lot stronger um based on like interview clips and stuff that I've seen of them I've changed my perspective on their relationship post show I'm assuming you voted right I did yes did you vote for Serena and Cordell I did yes every time every time did you were you allow is it the same as dance with stars you allowed 10 no you're only allowed one you're only allowed one I know that makes it hard too CU I wanted to split I also really love Jana and Kenny so I wanted to put some votes there but I loved Serena and Cordell just a little bit more and do we know if they're together are they a couple that oh that's the one that's he's thinking of moving to La no so Jana and Kenny like they're the same where they're just kind of seeing how things go in the outside world uh the only two couples that really locked it down like I said were Nicole and Kendall and then Aaron and Kaylor uh became official they did not make the final and a lot of people have a lot of of opinions on them was who's the one were a couple of the guys very took a lot of heat problematic or something like that even overalls guy didn't he take a lot of heat for whatever he did on the show kaso Mo was he playing multiple women or something like that I think there was like a the big breakup with Leah was a bit difficult because I think it was just his communication style didn't land with a lot of people um you know he was contemplating leaving Leah for a new girl and he was trying to express to her that he wanted to you know explore his options but he didn't articulate himself in the best way and Leah was upset and he was like well can't I be upset and you know that just triggers the ladies at home we were triggered we were like this is about her but you know another good example of someone who they they called him an onion on the show like a billion times because he has so many different layers to him they say but you know people really disliked him at the beginning and then towards the end they started to come around to him he just was a little bit more reserved mysterious you know they would say um but yeah him and then the one guy that really a lot of people have problems with is Aaron Aaron is from the UK he you know he was not on his best behavior in Kasa Amore and it's one of those things where a lot of people aren't on their best behavior in Kasa Amore but he came back and he he lied a lot about it and um it seemed like he kind of manipulated the situation uh to get himself off the hot seat and I feel like that's really where this season kind of um took off in favor of Serena and Cordell because Cordell was also in the hot seat he was also not on his best behavior in Kasa omur a lot of people were mad at him but when he came back he took full accountability he told Serena everything and he went above and beyond to show her you're the person that I want to be with whereas Aaron every time he was asked like oh did this happen did this happen did this happen he would be like it doesn't matter because I love you Kaylor it doesn't matter because I love you um and so there was just some some manipulation in my opinion um on his end to try to smooth things over so that's essentially why they didn't end up making it to the finals because America really didn't like you know the way that he moved in Kaza and when he came back is that why everyone is saying they loved love Island so much this year because it was Kasa Moore like the turning point I heard that was seemingly the thing that kind of turned everything for everybody just like the show's getting really good I kept hearing about Kasa Moore was just crazy this yeah I would say that definitely was a big one um but right before it there was like a really big moment that had never happened before um so basically how the show works early is that you know throughout the show America votes for their favorite couple and um they will have the three couples with the least amount of votes um you know maybe possibly get eliminated so what happens is at that point you kind of split forem Mir a couple and there will be the bottom three girls and the bottom three guys and typically the guys choose a guy to go home or vice versa the guys choose a girl to go home and the girl choose a guy to go home but in this case the girls chose a girl to go home and they chose a girl who was in a pretty lock down couple with Rob and so that kind of sent shock waves through everybody because you had Jana who wasn't in a couple with anybody you had Nicole who was in a fresh couple with Kendall and then you had Andrea who Andrea was in like a pretty deep couple it seemed like um and you know Rob threw a fit saying he was going to go home you guys got rid of three people tonight I'm not staying it was like crazy but then he ended up staying and it really didn't matter anyways but that I think that was the moment that it really turned because we've never seen that before we've never seen the women send a another woman home and somebody that was in an established couple and that was the twist like that was told by Ariana she said hey women you have to eliminate a woman yes that wasn't just they decided to okay well I me like I said I I I watched seasons one the ones that were on CBS the second that went streaming is when I stopped right which was the one the the one they did in Vegas during Co on the rooftop on the rooftop of the Dre hotel right um I think that was the last one I saw I think that was season three and I think three seasons have been on streaming the version honestly I think it's love island is really or Miss I'm typically like a love Island UK girl I get more into the UK Seasons than us say and it's so time consuming it's on every night right two months that if it's really not engaging the audience like you just can't commit to it so that's why I feel like me personally I've uh I haven't watched like every season for both franchises but I pick and choose seasons based on which ones are really popping off so before we head out here I wanted to I know the Valley season 2 has started filming have there been any leaks about what is is happening if anybody from Vanderpump has joined it certainly doesn't seem like anybody from Vander pump would be a full-time cast member because we don't even know if Vander pump has been picked up for a season 12 yet any Rumblings on that and if anything is happening there I haven't heard any like official Rumblings I think we can all just kind of pick up on what's being put out on their social media Pages obviously we know there's still some stuff going on with Jackson Britney I feel like Britney is out here having like a hot girl summer like she's she is out on the town she's with her girls I love to see it um but we are seeing some like photos of Sheena and laala hanging out with like Janet and Michelle and you know that's that's typical you know they've always said that they're integrated in that friend group but now I think viewers are just looking at it from a different perspective obviously like you said because we don't know what's going on with fanner pump rules we've heard all of these things that L LA's been asking to you know move over to the valley then she says no I didn't it's just confusing but I think anytime a Bravo fan sees all of them together they assume that somebody is planting a seed I don't know I I don't know I think uh it's hard for me to say but I do think Vander pump rules like is going to have to make some type of change and Vander pump rules has long time been my favorite Bravo show so like I'm sad to see that era end but it it really just isn't making any sense that being said it doesn't make sense for me either to have Sheena and laa move over to another show just because of honestly and and I hate to say it but because of how unliked they were last season like people the valley had such a good season one that you don't want to risk tainting it by bringing over laala who might have her Worst season on Banner pump rules you know and really pissing people off by bringing her over I think they're good on the Valley now and I think if as far as I know I think L's due first week of September so Ariana has just finished love Island I don't know when she has more Broadway stuff to go to but I think a lot of people were when we heard the rumors that or not the rumors we heard that hey uh Vander pump is pushing back filming everyone thought like well because they got to let Ariana finish love Island well then you had this whole law suit come up with with with with sanal you know suing her and then he says no I didn't it was it was more about getting after going after Rachel the bottom line is if there is a season 12 based on what sandavol just did whether he thinks he took it back or not I just there's no way she's going to film with him I know she said that before going into season 11 and they ended up having these very contentious scenes where she would sit there and you know say don't talk to me and she wouldn't even look at them and stuff like that but I think after this if there is a season 12 one of them isn't gonna be on the season I just I can't imagine that they're they're both in the cast full-time like you could have an appearance by one of them but and I as we talked about on my podcast when you came on like three or four weeks ago she doesn't need the show Sant ofal needs the show she doesn't need it she's moved on to bigger and better things she's making great money she could come in for an appearance on season 12 of aner pump but santal needs the show so I'm guessing that's the route we do end up going if there is a 12 yeah I mean I can just imagine the backlash that that would receive it's like one thing though because I want Arana to leave the show on her terms you know I I don't want it to be like a Tom sandavol forced her out or la la and Sheena forced her out you know I don't want it to be oh they created this uncomfortable environment for me because they did do that to her last season the girls um and I don't want that to be the reason I don't think it would because I feel like Ariana is super headstrong and she's like not gonna do that um however I I think it was really telling that she said at the reunion that she wasn't able to watch the season back or she chose not to right to protect her mental health and I'm like the biggest Ariana fan in the entire world I always have been from day one even when people didn't like her I really liked Ariana but I feel like if you get to that point where you can't ingest it because it's so toxic to you it's time to walk away and I hate that that is the reason but at the end of the day if it's not good for your mental health it's not good for your mental health and you do have all these opportunities and she crushed it on love Island like I cannot see them moving in a different direction with a host anytime soon because she did so good she looked so good and people really liked her on the show so I feel like as long as those doors keep opening she's going to walk through them and I think she needs to focus on things that make her happy and not things that bring her down well a good summary uh for what's but most don't even ask I mean the two most serious relationships that I had the one that I told you about the crazy pregnancy story of a while back she watched the show on the periphery but we were long distance she would never call me and be like hey where'd you get that spoiler or whatever never I mean she never and that's I guess one of the one of the things that I did like about her she didn't ask she didn't care enough to ask about digging into my sources and stuff like that and then the other one that I was dating uh during all this was cat and she cat didn't really watch The Bachelor uh she was more into the Big Brother stuff and I would tell her stuff and I just said oh you know I would get an email or get a text and be like oh just found this out about Bachelor or Bachelorette and she be like oh that's cool but just kind of moved on from there like it didn't it wasn't a thing and I think anybody that I am interested in that's the reaction I would rather have I don't want somebody that wants to be nosy about how I get my info because then it turns into well does this person really like me or do they like Reality Steve you know so um and I've said that for a long time like I want them to be interested in Steve Carbone not Reality Steve next one uh the only another one we'll get to before we head out of here hey Steve any other spoilers you've heard about Jen season is she still with her final one uh yeah from everything that I've heard um definitely and you know the one thing that I don't know that I'm working on is just this thing that she's teased when she went on Caitlyn's podcast and said at the beginning of the Season that she there's something that happens at the end that's never happened before I know a lot of people think that that might be that she proposes to the guy I don't think that's it but my answer to what is that is I don't know I didn't know about Joey's thing that never happened before which was Daisy going to Kelsey's room I didn't know that until like a week before the finale so maybe I'll find out about a week before the finale about this I do not know yet so um but I will obviously let you know if and when I do find
