Stop Covering Ghosts: The Defensive Dilemma of Ineligible Receivers

as a defensive coach why are we still covering ineligible receivers right when you watch Michigan commentator some some of their unbalanced formations you'll see them align both receivers on Aline scrimmage motion and then motion to a trips well to that trip side you have a safety who's covering down over a number two receiver who's ineligible that doesn't make that doesn't make any sense in a national championship game so there has to be understanding that why cover a guy that guy is free and we just need to trust the fact that we understand the math understand the rules of football and that that guy ultimately is ineligible and does not need to be covered in the P game
