my man doing great you know I I feel like I've been pretty spotty being on the show recently just so much weddings and family stuff towards the end of this summer so I'll be here uh for a while I think the next thing I have another freaking wedding at the end of September but beyond that I'll be here and the meet and greet I'll be gone for that too but you guys will be there hopefully to see uh both of us yes for sure meet and greet in about I think it's about three weeks time um so again I'm looking forward to seeing all of you that will be able to make it it is going to be a Dandy old time and I think we're undefeated in these meet and greet winning winning is correct if I'm not mistaken so you know that that that's a that's a sign of good things to come um but obviously it'll be I'm over summer you know I'm I'm ready for you know I'm I'm more of a Fall Guy um so I'm I'm ready for the fall to get here at cooler weather but um otherwise the weekend's been good and hopefully doing well thank you for coming in all right Dylan so we are on the eve of the final pre-season game for your Denver Broncos and you know this is a great time for the players players that might be on the bubble um to have a great Lasting Impression right we know roster cut down are coming up soon um so they'll have to make that trim down for you know the the final 53 um so we we want to talk about a few players um that you know even some from last season kind of coming into the preseason that has that opportunity to to kind of make their case you know to make that 53 um man roster so um we let's get started with who's first on your list like who should who should kind of maybe take a few steps forward um in tomorrow's matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals well this uh may not be the sexiest pick you know I'm gonna I'm going to start here with offensive line and maybe someone we thought had a chance to be the starter uh in Alex forsight uh from all reports that I'm hearing he's not really getting good reps in practice and even mentally he he doesn't seem to be getting the Playbook down and that and that's really disappointing especially we kind of wanted to see that Oregon Duck combo there but sounds like Luke wattenberg has got that spot tied up and I think he'll be a a fine uh guy to have there at Center you know don't love it don't hate it just fine we'll have to see how that works out and then if uh for isn't careful as bad as Sam muster is he does have more experience and he's a veteran foresight hasn't seen any notable snaps he hasn't seen any starting snaps so it's it's someone who maybe we thought could have been on this roster like no-brainer but now not looking like so much so coming into this third game he's gonna have have a lot of meaningful snaps yeah for sure that that that's a good one um you know and it's you know it's a little a little bit I guess disappointing just because you know at the end of the season last year you know the the paytons were hyping for Cy up like they thought that he could have been a starter so they were very high on him and again not not to say that you know he still has his career ahead of him um but you know you you thought you would have seen more um and I think a lot of it from what I've seen Dylan is it's it's it's kind of mental with with him um and hopefully he can kind of get that together because you're right you know muser is not not the best but you know he he's more experienced and you know you know that experience can kind of trump what you know whatever progress for scyth makes even if he starts to still make those mistakes so I'm right there with you and as far as wattenberg I mean I thought wattenberg looks fine you know again you know you kind of have to consider everything right it's preseason going against some of the backup D linemen you know so you have to kind of put all that into consideration but I think at center with wattenberg even as you're starting center I think the Broncos will be fine um but you know it's just disappointing that you thought to your point right that that duck connection of Nicks with for Sight you know would have been the connection to start with the season but yeah he definitely has um to to make some steps forward in in tomorrow's game for sure alrighty let's see who else we have in the chat here we got M High salute DB for Life coming in thank you he says I think I think either Jared STM or Zack Wilson to get all the snaps and then put one of them on the trade block yeah my high salute maybe and I'm I'm gonna this is going to tie into um my my first player to watch um and it's GNA be Zach Wilson um just because you know the first game I would say Zach Wilson when he was put in there Dylan I thought he did a great job um against the Colts and then you started to see in that second matchup with the Packers you know some of the mental things there with Zach Wilson you started kind of see that kind of come out in the wash a bit now again we know that the guy is talented you know he doesn't shy away from pushing the ball down the feel taking the risk um but I I'm curious to see you know exactly how he you know how he kind of runs the offense can he make those quick throws can he do those short throws can he do them accurately um kind of avoiding the the negative play so I I would say you know the leader in the clubhouse as far as the backup would be Jared but then does Zack Wilson make a somewhat good Lasting Impression to to maybe be number two on this roster I I do think I I go back and forth on if they're going to keep two or three quarterbacks dying um at first I was thinking it was just going to be two but I'm I'm I'm actually leaning more toward they might keep three uh um because you know Jared stum although he had I I feel as though with Jared STM is a little he didn't really have a fair shot this season right it's this preseason it was like he wasn't helped out by his teammates at all especially in in the in the Colts matchup you know the guys made some mental mistakes penalties you know backing up that first drive you know so it it was a little bit hard um but I would say last game he he did okay um kind of really commanding that offense and driving them down the field and running for that touchdown so um but I would say the the leader in the clubhouse right now Jared with Zach being third but you know if Zach can and he's gonna have plenty of playing time tomorrow Zach for sure you know if he can somewhat command it that that might change things um but I I think I think they might keep three um now trade block Mile High you know possibly and Payton said it himself like I forgot who the interview was with it might have been with K Adams or maybe someone else but you know he mentioned that to Zach that you know I'm here to you know help you develop further and to help you do well enough to where though you could make a lot of money it may not be with the Broncos possibly but maybe with another team so this is somewhat of that you know audition for Zack Wilson if not to get number two maybe play for another team so I I wouldn't say trading is out of the realm of the possibility Mali yeah and to that last point you just made you know when Shawn Peyton makes that comment he's like hey I want to develop you to me that screams hey we're going to try and keep you we want to keep you here and develop you and uh hopefully you can resurrect your career to some extent um so and I I'm agree with you I I think they are going to keep three quarterbacks I think I'm leaning that way as well I think it just makes sense especially uh with the rule thanks to that Niners Eagles game where you get injured two quarterbacks you can now bring uh one up from the practice squad without consequence it doesn't hold up a roster spot or anything like that so I think it would be a smart move to keep three qu backs especially if you do want to develop Zack Wilson and maybe hey you can trade him down the line say we he gets an extension or something you just a short one to be a backup or whatever or even just if you want to just hey Sean P wants to do a good deed get this quarterback who is in the dumps after being with the Jets and send him on his way uh hopefully on a better trajectory now uh I think Zack Wilson in terms of staying on this roster and proving he can still be here is uh I've mentioned before he he makes those big splash plays he can scramble he's got the big arm he's he's very a very talented quarterback but we want to see those little things hey maybe reel it in a little more like Jared's stinum take the short passes when you uh when they're given to you maybe take the easy throw here and there and I want to see him command in offense we know he can do the spectacular stuff but I want to see you I want to see you play quarterback I want to see you go through your progressions um and I think that'll help him greatly and I believe he's getting majority snaps tomorrow I think I I if I remember correctly but so this it's gonna be the Zach Wilson show and it's hey like this is your you we have a roster spot for you as long as you don't screw it up so hopefully he can uh bounce bounce back from uh what we've seen with the Jets and kind of build on what we've seen these past two preseason games you know not too high not too low but hopefully somewhere in the middle and he could be a a solid backup option there yes definitely definitely um thank you again M High salute that that was that was a good uh which I wanted to grab here says I'd keep Wilson and flip steady but lots of coaches are keeping three QBs these days yeah Mike and again that that's that's why I was leaning more toward just them keeping three I I I think that's kind of where you know as you just mentioned right Dylan with that 49ers and and and and Eagles kind of I think that was kind of a kind of told you what's going on now with some of a lot of these teams keeping three on on the roster um yeah so I I do think I mean flipping City yes I think it financially makes sense um you know you can get the um the five million you know it'll save you five million if he's not on the team anymore you can have Zach as a backup I mean sure um but I just think kind of based on what we've seen um and I know Peyton even mentioned that you know that's not out of the realm of the possibility of them keeping three either I just think that's the direction they're going to go yeah definitely I I I could see you flipping steady to maybe a a team that needs a another veteran in the room like well I was going to say the Raiders but I wouldn't trade them in division but I just trying to think of teams you know that need that veteran presence because you have the poor raid the poor Raiders I really don't care about them but po you know they got they got no Connell and uh M gter mchu and you know and I'm going to go this is a little off topic but you know M was pretty good with the Colts last year and I understand people oh he's a good quarterback it's like okay uh he doesn't have Shane striken anymore and he doesn't have he's not gonna have that run game like he had in that offensive line and I think the Raiders have a decent offensive line but zamir White's largely unproven and I I just I think he's a bit overhyped I think he's more of a more of a meme than a uh you know starting quarter I I think he can start but is he a quality starter not in my opinion but uh yeah I think he probably get more trade value for stum overall I think Wilson although he has that draft pedigree I think we've kind of seen didn't really live up to that yeah yeah definitely definitely um but again thank you Mike and I want to bring in Adam Strange has Zach been good in training camp I mean from what I've heard and seen Adam he's been he's very been very inconsistent um you know there there have been days when he's looked good and there days that he hasn't looked good I know near the beginning of the Season sorry not beginning of the training camp it it wasn't the best showing but I know as training camp started to move forward you know he did get a little better now I know doing the but he still didn't I think reach the level to which the Broncos were hoping but he still made progress and I think that's really all the Broncos and Payton wanted Dylan yeah is that progress I mean they couldn't be happier you know for Zack for Zach Wilson because you also see an Adam where in the move the ball periods those are those snaps aren't going to Wilson it's bonix Jared's did him so that that kind of tells you how the Broncos feel in kind of the direction that you know against as stum being that qb2 um but again I I think what's so intriguing and I think you just alluded to it Dylan is the talent of Zach Wilson you know he he doesn't mind stretching the ball throwing the ball deep down the field and taking those risks so I I think those traits are are what's intriguing to pton but again I think based on you know up here you know throwing those accurate passes short kind of commanding you know the Huddle and things like that I think that's where some of those struggles are and that's why you see him not being there for the move the ball periods so again you know has kind of really been up and down for him in training camp and just to go back quickly to our previous Point moving in the chat around here uh Michael brings up a good point here Minnesota would be a destination for qb2 because obviously JJ McCarthy went down which sucks he was looking pretty good there uh um but yeah to have another veteran behind Sam darnold would probably be the move especially with uh coach oconnell he's uh very offensive minded he and I think a quarterback like stum would be a solid guy to have in that quarterback room yeah and even just right now talk up you know uh JJ and help him learn the game while he's you know nursing up yeah because right now I think who's be is it Matt carral that's behind yeah I believe Michael mentioned it was Matt caral so that's mat okay yeah yeah for sure all right Dylan so who else uh has that opportunity to have the great Lasting Impression before the roster cutdowns who else is on your list I should yeah so I don't want necessarily this might be his last chance but he does need to make a big impression especially after uh being reinstated uh for some uh nasty activity and nasty gambling nothing weird and that would be iama wazar I'm mostly said that right I think but you you know we heard he he was back in training camp and practice and he was they said he he's looking really explosive he's actually looking really good doesn't look like he's lost a step and then we get to the Packers game didn't look too great um and that's you know that's kind of to be expected like it it seemed like some coach speak saying you know he still got the same explosion stuff and when you're going through drills and you're going against your own guys yeah you could probably see that a little more but uh when you got an offensive line that's trying to run you over whether it be second third string doesn't matter and you are getting run over not a great look and he's he's someone who needs toh raise his stock and this this is a good opportunity to do so um if he doesn't I think he's a guy you could stash on the practice squad being that he has those problems um with gambling and some teams might shy away from that and also it it's just yeah his play is just not there so and we haven't seen him in a couple years so other teams might shy away from that so he he could be a practice squad candidate yeah yeah Mo most definitely I I that that's what I'm I'm leaning toward as well with youque um it was encouraging you know when Payton and Van Joseph mentioned that you know he hasn't lost step he looks he looks good and and he does but again he's it's been year removed from football um and so you kind of have to factor that in um again yeah in that last game I I didn't really see much to say hey you know what as a start you know so um but I again I I even though coming out of college I did like what he provides um especially especially in in in the Run game there but um but yeah um so I think prce Squad you know probably would be the way they go um with yuque all righty thank you thank you for coming and then Roy mentions here you have practice squad um as we talk about so again thanks thank you Roy for coming in with that got string guy coming in thank you says hi guys hello string guy thank you for hopping in the chat we appreciate it um and I see some folks on here talking about Franklin we we we'll get to Franklin he's not on my list I did mention Franklin you know um as a guy to look for that was last week um for the Packers match up we will definitely get into Franklin here um for sure but my next guy is going to be Samar perine I I almost think but dlan I really do think it's I think it might be over you know I'm I'm curious to see how he plays you know I obviously we know what he did last year he was kind of The Versatile utility guy you know on catching the those passes you know from Wilson in the scramble drills um but I I I you know I just want to see what what else he can provide other than doing that and and blocking and we saw what happened you know in that Colts game where you know he was trying to juggle that ball got picked um and so I I just don't know you know it's going to be interesting given you know all the other running backs on this squad you know javante looks good Jalil looks good as well um and ese is fine I would like to see a little bit more from ese um I feel as though I I didn't get and again I know it's you know preseason obviously but you know in some of these games I didn't really see that that bulldozer type of guy you know I was looking for more of of that and again I do see that at times but you know I kind of want to be want that to be a little bit more consistent um and then you know we'll see what happens with Blake Watson and I think he might be on your list but um that's another guy that has actually been looking okay too so I'm I'm just curious to see what what's going to happen how he performs um I believe they can save about $3 million or so by cutting or treating him and and I do think based on you know the roster Math and how many other running backs I just mentioned they keep I I I don't see where he's going to be on on this roster again was great last year but given you know where the Broncos are currently and I think you can use estimate to help with blocking at times too because I think that was a big part of per ry's game coming in and being that pass blocker on on second and third Downs um you have folks like an ese that can kind of come in and and do that Anon at time so I I just don't see what value and I think I think it's a little too late based on his performance in the preseason but I'm again I'm curious to see what he does so yeah I yeah I don't think he's long for this roster and that that is a shame because he did like you mentioned he was very good for the Broncos last season especially uh playing in the hurry up and catch a lot of passes but his big detriment even in some of those games was his ball security and we saw that with the we'll call it stm's interception but really it was perine he bobbled that thing in the air for way too long he would have been better off just smacking it to the ground but he left it up there for a pick and that's that's really unfortunate and yeah rri es de probably takes his his snaps there like you mentioned in in pass protection because he looked pretty solid there and you know they drafted him to kind of be similar to Javon Williams but you know if if you have two gavones I I don't think Peron factors in especially you got Jalil on this team who's probably gonna take a lot of those uh snaps he's a very Jitterbug type running back and uh good at catching passes as well so it's hard to find a spot for um per and yeah and you mentioned it before as well we might as well group in two of my other guys I had and it it's a a double here Tyler batty and Blake Watson it's not I I don't see them making the 53 but it's more of a practice squad thing and it depending on if they want to keep both of them possibly but batty he he's scored touchdowns and he's looked solid but it's not all been there really and uh I I I just want to see more from him and more consistency and obviously that's hard to do behind a third string offensive line and whatnot but you still want to see him making plays and he he has thus far but a little more consistency and then for Blake Watson kind of the same thing I want him to flash more and maybe maybe he's a guy since he's a fresher you can maybe still away but I know there there were teams that had draftable grades on him so if they see he's available able he might get snatched up so that the running back room as a whole you got you got some moving pieces there yes yes for sure um so again yeah let's just see what what Peron what kind of showing he does provide tomorrow I'm just curious to see what you know what he does differently if anything than these other running backs um but I want to get to and I'm going to just bring up a few of these um because there's been a conversation in the chat about it um I know Mike Davis thank again Mike for coming in as always my Pro it player tomorrow Franklin where has he been Mike S saying thought Franklin would have done better and then Michael Davis coming back saying I throw Franklin and all of his flaws out there for every snap tomorrow shows what you got and not all I've seen is college tape and no Broncos uniform and yeah I think with Franklin it's I don't know I just think as a receiver he has a long way to go the the the fundamentals of being an actual NFL wide receiver he has a lot of developing to do um now coming out of Oregon you know that that speed that big play ability I the Broncos hung their hat on they're like okay well we we he he can be explosive you know let's see you know what we can do with him again that's kind of what I'm thinking kind of how the Broncos saw it but then you know when he gets out there in rookie mini camp OTAs training camp you just see a lot of those deficiencies of the route tree is not caught off the speed for him and he's still dropping passes and you know if you're going to be that guy and again I'm not saying he's going to be obviously number one or two but if you're trying to have a good solid you know position in this wide receiver room you have to have those fundamentals um kind of down pat and I just don't think he's quite there yet and you also see it with Franklin you know that Devon V has come and just had himself one heck of a camp um and preseason he's actually been pretty good in well that Colts game he was he was pretty good too so I know he's out in the Packers game but in the Colts game he was good so you know having this um late rounder someone who was drafted after you come in and outperform you I I I think that that's an indictment and you know based on how this wide receiver you know how this dep chart and roster cut down looks like Dylan I mean I still think I mean with this fourth round status you might be like maybe a wide receiver six is what I'm thinking yeah is what I'm thinking um here um but he really has has to work on him but I'm with you Mike and the fact that in order for him to work through these things he had I mean he has to be on the field it's preseason why not why not put him out there to see you know what he can do and you know how does he you know how how does you know how does he navigate the field and how can he work through some of those deficiencies on the route tree and how does he match up with some of these corners and press right you kind you kind of want to see things like that and yeah it's one thing to obviously practice you know you know you know with your own with the Broncos defense but you know having other you know players and schemes to practice up against I I think it only help his development but yeah I'm with you just have him out there let's let's see what he can do and if he can somewhat make some hay and again maybe not be the the guy for this season but maybe going into next season and maybe the season after that kind of develop into the player that I think the Broncos want yeah and maybe maybe I'm being too hard on him but this this why you dropped to the fourth round there was talks of him being a late first round pick to early second round like maybe people saw more because obviously there's some attitude concerns there he's been yelled at by the wide receiver coach a number of times now the drops like you mentioned not picking up the offense uh as quickly and it's a shame because you know you have that Nicks and Franklin connection and I think that's part of the reason he's here um he he just needs a show more diversify that route tree you can't it's it's almost like talking about men's in a way he's another guy who's kind of where's he been on beyond that one touchdown it's like what what are we doing here we we need to see more and with Franklin yeah exactly there you go it's it It's just tough I I and to have a like you mentioned a seventh round wide receiver obviously he's a little older maybe a little more mature um showing up and showing out and you're still trying to get reps in preseason and you're just kind of as Jerry Judy said getting your cardio in it it's just it's a it's a tough look and like you mentioned he's a fourth round pick he's he's going to make this roster by draft pedigree alone I think and I don't I don't know I think I think something that will help him and what I've seen through a lot of threads through the uh the training camp practice is is a lot of the touchdowns that Franklin got coming from Zack Wilson who's gonna get a lot of snaps uh tomorrow so hopefully that connection can help him uh get more touches and maybe Zack Wilson will be looking for him more often but it's it's just a rough look I I'm pretty disappointed in what I've well I'd say what I've seen from him but I haven't seen anything yeah yeah definitely and we got William Catalano coming in thank you William says Franklin needs to learn this offense not every guy is a is a Knicks that can get it right off the bat there will be Turnal eventually Timmy p and Sutton will be gone need young guys to sit and learn yeah I mean I I I I agree mostly with that that William um you know they've already drafted Timmy P's replacement and that's Devon v um and with Sutton I you know we we'll see um you know maybe if if Mims Z or Franklin don't develop then the bronc will probably go to the well next year for Sutton's replacement in the draft um so yeah I I I think it's I mean sitting and learning yeah to a degree but again that's why you have these preseason games as well to kind of see you know who the players are where they are and then you know you can kind of work through those things you know as practice and such continues but yeah I I think again I think with Franklin it was always going to be you know I I was just banking on him to be that downfield threat of you know hey you put him in there you're going to go deep you know I just envisioned Franklin being that guy to catch the ball down there like for 40 40 yards right you know that that's that's kind of how I Envision him again obviously not every play but but again if you if you're having problem with drops that that's that's that's just kind of a bad sign from the jump but yeah William I mean we'll see I I I think you know having these guys sit learning from some of the veterans um especi for sure Troy Franklin Now Mims though I'm I'm just I'm I'm concerned Dylan I'm I'm very concerned with Mims um because I I would think at this stage you know he would have developed more and I'm just not as a receiv now we know what he is as a returner but you know just as a receiver I'm not I'm just not seeing progress yet so I think with him yeah it's still good to get some you know help from these veteran receivers but I mean guy you're going into you know what is it for now year two coming up three is it two two for Ms yeah yeah two for Ms I would think that and where he was drafted too right I would just think tra up to get traded up to get yeah I would just think you know he would have had a better a better showing but only time with tell yeah and you didn't I've seen some takes out there saying like hey you know it's fine if he's a good punt returner SL kick returner and you trade up to get him that pick was it 64 somewhere around there that's not worth it to me I'm sorry and especially with the new rules like we haven't seen him too much with it I don't know if it helps or hurts him obviously he was out Pro last year but we'll have to see how that pans out but absolutely no just being a punt returner that's not that doesn't do it for me like you need to be a wide receiver Jerry Judy's gone you're going to get these reps maybe I don't know actually because Tim Patrick has been out there and even in the first preseason game with the starters you saw David Sills out there before you saw him so that's that's a little concerning and I I it's the same thing with Franklin you know these guys need to diversify the rout trees you can't just be a go ball guy I I don't want just this gadget guy as a as a trade-up pick no I I I can't do that and it it's just kind of silly to me I I don't know it's it sucks that we haven't seen more from him and you'd think he'd be a little more consistent with the more reps that he's gotten yes yeah sure but again William thank you thank you for coming in and we got Mike Davis coming back in with a super chat thank you Mike thank you for contributing to tonight's discussion good to have you as always my guy he says so here's the question then can we cut Franklin clear waivers and move to the practice squad crystal ball says no an inferior player as a roster CLA you you you want to say this one Dylan looks like you have some thoughts here no he he he wouldn't clear waivers I think you see how many receivers are going in the first round these days or wide receivers in general going in the draft and teams want to be three to four wide receivers deep and if some teams are deficient in that area they see a guy like Franklin like oh he's got potential he's still a r like he's a rookie let's snag him up let's see we can do with him if maybe he has some character things maybe he has some problems dropping balls we'll take a shot on him we'll take a shot on his potential yeah I I don't think there's any way uh he makes it through waivers and I I think it's going to be a situation at least how I see the wide receiver room shaking out I think there's going to be six uh you gon have Sutton Tim uh Reynolds Mims and then your last uh two would be Franklin and V at least in my eyes and the rest those guys like Brandon Johnson Jordan Humphrey Sills I think you could probably get a couple of those guys back to the practice squad and Elevate them when needed or wanted whatever you want to say but I think for Franklin he's gonna make the team it's going be similar to we'll say JL Skinner you know know he he had an injury but even when he was healthy it's like hey you're going to sit you're going to learn maybe we'll get you in a few plays here and there I think that's Troy Frank kin's future for uh uh this season yep I agree with everything you said um yeah the moving to the practice squad it's yeah it's a no-go Mike if only and you know and Payton said in himself like he like guys that he sees a lot of potential in like he try he doesn't like you know moving to the practice squad just because he knows you know that if another team snags it you know and that guy has success you know he's he's he regrets that so um yeah I I don't see that happening too but again I think with to what Dylan just said you know and we can move on after this but yeah with what Franklin can provide again that potential for the big play and the fact of his fourth round status he will probably be wide receiver six and I'm with you uh Dylan they're they're going to keep six um wide receivers so but thank you Michael for coming in with that we appreciate it all right well let's see we are oh a little over 44 minutes all right Dylan so who is your last player that needs to have a good lasting impression prior to the roster cutdown well uh I'm going to go for another TW for here and it pertains to the secondary and I it's GNA be kin Smith and JL Skinner so obviously the Broncos like Skinner and you know he's been kind of up and down you know nothing too high nothing too low but this KRON Smith guy obviously he's not playing against starters I know blah blah blah he's he's checking the boxes for preseason okay that's all I care about um he's look all he's got two picks in two games uh maybe someone you want to look at there for safety is it's a thin safety room you got lck Brandon Jones uh no more Caden Sterns he's gone and I think Devon key he looks like that third safety there so who's goingon to be that fourth guy uh JL Skinner he's he's got a chance to be that he's a thumper he's a he's a big dude canny hanging coverage we'll see he's got a lot of tools that I think fance Joseph wants to work with we'll see how he is with toolsy guys you know I don't fully trust VJ there but I think keun Smith is is very intriguing and maybe he he could play himself into a roster spot yeah yeah I think um I I I I like hon Smith um you know very very aggressive Ball Hawk um and I think yeah him kind of being that second one behind Brandon Jones I I I I like it and I I like the early showings of JL Skinner um you know I would like to see more obviously I know he's still trying to get acclimated but I I I like what I've seen so far but yeah with with the safety room looking kind of be after you know Jones and lock and Skinner it's you know these guys have to these guys have to step up and again it's very encouraging to see key John Smith um with those big plays you know one in each of the preseason games so um yeah that that's a good one and then my last is I'm actually going to do two for one as well um and it's that cornerback so the who is going to be opposite of PS2 quarterback 2 and I have two names here um deari matys Levi Wallace or are are the names um that I have now I I still again I know the still kind of you know I think the leader in the clubhouse Dylan will be Riley Moss again that that's what that's kind of what it's trending more toward but then does deari MAF have enough to change that narrative I know with Levi Wallace kind of still kind of coming back you know from that hamstring uh you know what what how you know how does he perform in this next next preseason game um it'll be interesting to watch but I I'm I'm just really if anything if we can get anything out of deari mattisse you know again yeah he's had what in these preseason games he's only recorded four tackles one pass defended and he clearly hasn't separated himself from from Moss at all um and so I I just I just want to see if you know he makes any other types of play to where though he can be more in the running for that CB2 spot um and then just with Levi Wallace you know you know how how does he look you know does he also have enough to maybe be strongly considered for that spot either um but I I just think based on Wallace's current situation with the injury and then just how deari matthys has kind of been like this but mostly this again it it's it's Riley Moss's to lose yeah I totally agree with you there I think Riley is probably short up that spot or is very close to doing so and with Le you thought for a minute there was Levi Wallace but he's been hurt and he hasn't been out on that field so it's hard to get an evaluation there um but yeah in terms of deari he he's got to do something to to show up tomorrow and and practice because we're getting close to these cutdowns and he he's a guy that I could see getting moved uh moved on from uh yeah and another interesting wrinkle and maybe you got a guy like traymon Smith and know he's not the best in coverage and whatnot but he does have that special teams Acumen as a returner um so depending on how many Corners they decide to keep deari mattisse could see himself left off um and you know I think they're going to keep Wallace um you got Moss Wallace and then you got deari kind of looking on the outside in and looking at some of these other Corners I mean ree Taylor he's looked solid as well uh through preseason and training camp so he's gonna have to do something in Chris Abrams dra Chris dra yeah he's been looking good it it really I think he's fighting honestly for that deari is fighting for that last quarterback spot and if they want someone with more versatility in special teams you could see a traymon Smith take that spot from him yeah and you you make a good point on maybe in 2025 yeah I you know I just don't see Demari on this team after this year I I I don't you know he he had his opportunity especially last year he had his opportunity and it he just didn't live up to to the expectation so you know ra you know Raley Moss coming in um and kind of holding his own and then you saw the sign with Levi Wallace being in Chris Abrams drain too I mean you know I was very encouraged with what I seen in the preseason from Abram dream like you know just there breaking up passes just being around the ball I mean that that's what you want to see from your SE feisty yes um so yeah I I I don't think deari mass is as long as for this team but let's see how he performs tomorrow you know I just want to see alrighty guys let's see here we're at 51 minutes so going to start winding down here and then we're going to look at maybe some other key to key to the game and stuff Dylan just briefly um and then we'll get out of here string guy coming in thank you string guy says safety and Corner are definitely a concern on defense Ron are you prepared to step and ask DC when they fire well yeah I mean I think I can I C I can do I think anybody can do better than what V show he'll take the pay anyway huh yeah I'll definitely take that check that that's that's that's no problem string guy um but yeah you know it's if Dyan yeah if this defense starts off like they did last year yeah Vance is just he has to be gone I mean he has to like there's just no excuse none now well first I don't even want him to come back I think a lot of Broncos fans did not even want him to return but he's here so we have to deal with it but again I do think I do again I'm I'm encouraged though Dylan from what I've seen again I know it's second string offensive linemen for these other teams and such right but you know the the defensive line looks good they look good Zack Allen looks good roach looks good A little bit of John Franklin my last week looks good so you know you could only help to be help but be encouraged and you know the the secondary has been has been playing pretty well jquan McMillan obviously we don't have to talk much about him so but Shing guy if if Vance Joseph can't put this defense in the best position to make stops he has to go he has to go but yeah I I I you know if I can you know somewhat get on the Broncos radar you know get on Payton's radar you know or somehow yeah I would definitely step in I know you'll qu me for sure but I'm I'm prepared I'll be running the show solo pretty soon here I guess because probably after week one if VJ does what he does um yeah you know safety and Corner those are definitely concerns the secondary is unproven undiscovered whatever you want to say um outside of PJ lock I'd like to see he he looked great last season I want to see him build up uh upon last season uh but beyond that yeah I mean no worries about PS2 jaquon McMillan played solid last season I hope to see him get better but outside that it's like yeah it's a whole lot of who knows and I I I do love and I say it I feel like every week but I do love the hire of Jim Leonard as the DB coach I think that's gonna help this room a ton and hopefully you know he'll he'll step in for VJ if Ron doesn't get the call so hopefully you know yes thank you trar for coming in and Adam strange question thank you Adam says any Edge players on the bubble um I I don't I don't know if really there any particularly I mean maybe in enum is a possibility um I know enum he's been playing you know pretty well but I given what you know these Edge players have done though Dylan I yeah enum might be like a practice squad guy I mean just again well we know what Brony and Cooper are but you know definitely who has had their stock risen these two pre season games is Jonah Ellis um now you know J Jonah Ellis looks good obviously it's preseason I have to keep on repeating that so we know it's preseason you know against second and third strings but the early showings of Jonah Ellis are very encouraging um and you know with contract years coming up for sure I believe for both Browning and for Cooper I'm not mistaken you know that that pick makes sense um but yeah I think on the bubble I think enum is really the only one that comes to mind kind of going through the the depth chart here to see who else but yeah DeAndre tman but I mean probably just a practice squad guy to begin with guy yeah yeah yep so yep that'll be the one but again that good question there Adam thank you all right Dylan so as far as the game tomorrow I mean what what are maybe some of your keys to the game what are you looking for kind of outside of what you know we discuss tonight what are your thoughts for tomorrow's game yeah it's kind of hard to pick just because you know preseason game three you're going to see a lot of backups and stuff it's going to be a lot of guys fighting for their jobs so mostly like the position groups we we discussed uh running back room will be interesting for those probably practice squad guys batty and uh Blake Watson obviously Zack Wilson I want to see how he plays and uh and you know we'll throw St him in there as well obviously you know we talk about him lot it's like he is a backup quarterback you don't see him taking a lot of chances and whatnot so he's just there to not look bad tomorrow I just you know I want to see it Sol clean game for him I want him to see him get a better chance that he's gotten you know with all these false starts and holdings and offensive pass interferences and whatnot and tipped interceptions so overall just I want to see some I I would say solid quarterback play from both of the Zack Wilson and stum yeah those are good ones for me um two things the offensive line M for one that this backup offensive line it's I I want to see you know who's maybe the leader in the clubhouse for a swing tackle because some of those early showings especially from crumb were just downright bad like it was it was an atrocity when Crum was out there um so I I I want to see you know if how that looks you know um hurt as well you know some of those some of these guys you know on you know on the second and third team for for offensive line how do they how do they perform and also linebacker you know I'm Alex Singleton has looked great um strad actually hasn't looked bad stard has actually had a a pretty good sh um but yeah I I just kind of want to see how again more of how that group plays together how they develop you know even with Barton um Griffith as well and you know who's going to get that nod there for opposite of uh Singleton I I I at first I thought Jonas was gonna get it but it seems to be it's probably gonna be Barton alongside Singleton yeesh that that's what again that's what I've been hearing and that's kind of what I've been seeing so again you know I could be surprised and it could be Jonas but it might be Barton um but yeah all right so we are right at an hour let's just kind of peruse
