Boar’s Head deli meat recalled for potential listeria contamination | News 12

I'm Eric Landskroner Delhi's around the country and right here in New Jersey are throwing away more than 200,000 pounds of deli for sample of liverwurst tested positive for listeria. The USDA making the anouncement after 2 people died, including one person here in New Jersey news Twelve's Amanda Lee joins us now from stop and shop where meat is being pulled from shelves. >> Well, Curt today Boar's head workers have been making sure that grocery store chains like Stop and shop have that Boar's head need off of their shells. And if you go into a place like stop and shop, you might even see some of the workers cleaning that deli equipment and thoroughly cleaning it. And they, as they've been instructed to do by the CDC. Also when walking into a store like stop and shop, you may even see a sign that looks like this one saying that they voluntary voluntarily closed the dei department for a deep cleaning out of an abundance of caution. But board head products everywhere are being recalled after a sample of Boar's head live or worse from a Maryland store tested positive for listeria. The recall includes ready to eat liver, worth products produced between June 11th and July 17th, including a liverwurst made in Virginia products shipped between July 25th and August. 30th. The recall also includes old-fashioned ham Italian, an extra hot Italian. The m Bologna, including Bees and Garlic baloney and beef salami with a sell by date of August 10th and steakhouse roasted begin with a sell by date of August. 15th Boar's also recalling deli products produced on the same line and on the same day as the liver Now, officials say testing is underway to see if this is linked to that recent listeria outbreak.
