what's going on everyone chrisan pick dogs.com here with your free pick in the Alabama versus Western Kentucky week one college football matchup going down Saturday August 31st 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between Alabama and Western Kentucky and Alabama and Nick saera officially over in Tuscaloosa kayin dor steps in he's going to have some work to do to fill those shoes but I mean still kayin dbor he's still a nice a nice you know uh successor for Alabama Alabama went 12-2 last year and Sable excuse me Sav final season uh they won the SEC title game they essentially bumped Georgia from the college football playoff by beating Georgia in that SC title game 27-24 they eventually lose in the college football playoff semi-final to the event Champion Michigan 2720 in the Rose Bowl and you know even for Dora's first year he still got some solid pieces Jaylen Mill Rose back averaged 10 yards per throw last year and you know he's dual threat quarterback and move the ball through the air or on the ground they got Tai Simpson back if something were to happen to milro at least you have a capable backup now the running game still going to be there you know with milro and you still have backups and jam Miller and Justice Haynes it's not Jay mclen or royell Williams but it'll still be fine and you know the receivers there's a couple of question marks but I mean it's Alabama they always reload Kendrick law on the outside Caleb odm's going to probably have some uh be called upon right away as a top recruit Kobe prentis is back so Alabama's goingon to be fine offensively and on defense it brought Kan wac over from uh South Alabama wac was a stud for South Alabama I mean that was a was a heck of a defense that he ran last year and you know I think that that Alabama you know the linebackers are going to be fine you know Deontay loss and Jihad Campbell they finished second and third in tackles last year you know they lost Caleb Downs to Ohio State but Malachi Moore just going to step in and fill the void right away Keon Sab coming over from Michigan this this Alabama defense is going to be fine and that's not necessarily what you want to hear if you're Western Kentucky now Western Kentucky last year decent season they ended up beating Old Dominion in the famous toastery bowl and they've got some changes themselves Austin Reed is gone from at quarterback so you got to fill the void and uh and you know Kaden belt Camp he stepped up and he was he was a hero in the bowl game for for Western Kentucky now you got TJ Finley coming over from Texas State so Finley knows how to run the offense so we'll have to see who ends up getting the starting nod for Western Kentucky here but whoever is they're gonna have to do it without Malachi Corley he's gone but dvin Smith returns he's got he had 50 catches six touchdowns last year and this is I know obviously a a Western Kentucky team that likes to go go go offensively especially with the Air Raid Offense don't use their running backs all that much though and you know you have to be able to try to be a little bit balanced and try to not give uh give anything away to Alabama the defense for Western Kentucky was always an issue last year and I'm scared it's going to be an issue for them here they lost that game against Ohio State I think it was 6310 last year 73 73 nothing they got crushed and uh I don't see it slowing down here against uh against Alabama Kaylin Tor normally a coach at least last year with with Washington he was a coach that kept his foot on the gas just remember a couple times last year where he kept his foot on the gas late and got me a couple of late covers and I think that's going to be the case here this is just one of those things where Western Kentucky they they'll have a great record by the end of the year but they usually get crushed in these big step up spots against the big boys the big step up competition so I'm going to go with Alabama here I'm going to lay the big number and that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those of pck dogs premium why your pick dogs check out our betting tools 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon
