MTV VMAs 2024 Recap: Final Thoughts, Winners, Best Performances & More

damn she she she took it yeah thank him for tolor Swift and post Malone took home video of the Year during MTV star yeah and I like how much fun she had at the event she was dancing she was having a ball they were some video shots that captured her little commentary when she was reacting to other performers on the stage giving their speeches so I love how Taylor Swift is really like a girls girl really supportive friend there was also um on Tik Tok I saw the moment where um post Malone went on the stage to accept something and she held his drinks for him while he was embracing others it was so nice to see I'm trying to pull out who was uh nomin was nominated video of this was a video of the year I want to see who was uh nominated too ooh and should we like CU for me and our reactions I said that uh ASAP rocki should get video of the year what oh that was that video was he just dropped that I to me that video was so fire that was so un serious anyway Ariana Grande we can be friends Billy oh oh oh oh hold up doat Grande that music video was so that music was yeah yeah yeah and who else Eminem houd doat P the town red that was really fire Eminem Houdini scissors snooze so let me tell you for DOA cat honestly music videos always fire is fire but her live performances are 10 times better than her music videos I'm not going to lie Houdini was kind of nostalgic for the older crew who got the references was cool yeah and the other one was who scissors snooze scissors snooze okay scissors snooze was on repeat repeat repeat yeah but this is video not the song video but I'm honestly don't not too familiar with the visuals for that song just the song itself yeah me to I don't know so if I had to give it to somebody it would have been Ariana or I'm going to be honest we reacted to the video I don't remember this the video was for which one fortnite oh yeah did hect to the video yeah this with POS remember cuz remember Taylor had the tattoos on her and we were like looking at her like oh my God she has tattoos yes we we have you don't remember I think we only reacted to the song oh well I saw the okay so I haven't seen the video okay I can't I can't all time I haven't seen the video okay whatever sted 4th PMA Awards and took the opportunity to thank her boyfriend Travis yes shout out but he wasn't there I didn't see him well it's football season that's true want to see that we haven't seen it yet you have L guys and myz I know Y watching too this and epic performances of her hits including her V winning mamushi with Yuki this was a phenomenal to me he took the Yuki took the show he he really especially this is his first time over here I don't think he just I think the first Japan I could be wrong though but as far as I the first Japanese art at let's see the nominations she got best oh this was controversial I have a little problem with this because I don't think she her the songs I assume she got the award for as her solo act are not really K-pop songs there there's not a single word in their Korean of you know Korean either of the two songs she did I'm not saying she's not deserving of some award but the k should be for Korean yeah it was J cook L 7 but that song doesn't have Korean either though NCT dream smoothie super shy super shy super shy was in the category in the conversation but honestly they going through their own stuff at the moment right now straight kids or not I will say for me and txt uh oh no I should have G personally I would have picked St because la la la didn't get much play though we even we talked about how la la la just kind of where is it right we literally said that so I see why they didn't get it but this is that's that's the most Korean song I'm G be H I would have given it to Jean cook probably lot7 I think that's a bigger song than Lisa that one I feel like I was happy nonetheless because we love Lisa and I think this was just her moment that was just her moment so what we gonna do let her have it at the same time neither Jean cook nor Lisa have any Korean words in their music so I don't think they should that's why I was saying it should have been straight kids out of the yeah if I wanted to base it on the rules okay give it to a K-pop artist it's super shy super shy as as much as I likes TR I think Super sh was a bigger hit than la la la I mean I like super shy I think super direction I didn't understand the direction for me so these are the and uh as far as the fa Katy Perry was really good uh yeah I can't take away that from her the thing with Katy pis was like the main performance of the night so they kind of like what we saw in re with Helena mhm which the the man like the the MTV made that performance but they gave her the biggest plat like the longest time so you know she got to really showcase exact now from the smaller artist the the the Lesser performances I felt like all the old schools really did good oh yeah really nailed it from the new people as uh yeah from the new people I really kind of shocked me positively was glorilla yeah she was energy even though she had a wardrobe malfunction her and her her backup dances carried she aty yeah and uh Saina Carp from the new people as well I mean it was a yawn I felt like I want her to be more shady no I was I I didn't n that I didn't like I think Megan's performance had so much potential but the fact that she don't sing live she just kind of just there really the Yuki part was what madei Yuki part it was really fire and if she honestly if she actually sang Live and didn't just let the beat the song Run I would have probably give her the best performance of the night because of the Yuki I think what she needs is like a person to like back it just really bothers me that she don't sing L like everybody else sang even gorilla [ __ ] sang and she just kind of there just like but then again you know her ass she she had to host too as well so it was a lot on her plate already so I think that give she did the same thing in that's just what she does but no but she was better here than all the PO I feel okay yeah she was but she had the budget here too the dances and everything it's
