Intro in this video we're going to highlight positions players that we differ from the consensus and where Jim differs from my value me rankings on rootwire let's jump into quarterback right away jim Dak/Kirk I've got Dak Prescott at 10 you decline that ranking there tell me more yeah yeah so 10 is fair it's definitely fair you draft him as quarterback nine a little bit below it I am just worried The Vibes in Dallas were just creepy this off season CD lamb not coming out I'm not sure the re room but I'm more concerned about that offensive line I mean they're bringing in a new left tackle Tyler gon bringing in a new center Brock Hoffman right tackle Terren steel is awful and guess who they're playing miles Garrett and Company the Cleveland Browns who are going to bring a ton of pressure and they have three really good Corners so I'm just interested to see how Dak Prescott comes out here I hope you're right on this one Jeff because it would be great for Dallas if Prescott came out I'm a little more pessimistic with Dallas being in the road with the offseason they had I get it it's not just Vibes objection though it's you gave real good reasons in addition to Vibes so I'm impressed with that uh but tell me like if you have Dak who's your pivot who are you going to use instead this week in the leagues where I drafted Prescott was a couple I drafted Kirk Cousins as well and I know Pittsburgh on the surface sounds like a tough matchup but in reality the offensive tackles in Atlanta are very solid they can hold up they have the new quick strike offense they could throw it to bejan a little bit if they need to as well as Drake London and Company so I'm optimistic that if I have to Pivot I'm Atlanta's at home I'm not as scared of Pittsburgh as maybe I should be so I am way down on cousins this week so we definitely differed significantly here we're trusting that cousins is fine that that Achilles is fine this is a sight unseen sort of thing Kyle pittz showed up in practice with a bad hammy today I I am scared of the pittsbur defense I think the pass rush in particular it it's a with wat week so I'm concerned uh but uh I will not be using that pivot I'm going to go ahead press forward with my boy Dak let's move on to running back we don't Kyren Williams always have to dis agree on on these at running back Kyon Williams I get the season long objections to kyen Williams you know they they drafted Blake corm Kiron Williams is historically fragile missed some games last year oh no he's returning punts I don't think that really affects what happens this week against the Lions you know Jeff last year in week one cam Acres was coming off a great end of 2022 where he was like the last seven games he was dominant and in week one it was an even split between akres and Kiron Williams that was interesting to me that I thought for sure akres would be the lead guy especially when Kiren Williams was not good in 2022 they tried to push him into a role and he couldn't do that well Detroit is the opponent this week Detroit was the number one defense against the run last year and they added DJ reer and Jack Campbell in his second year and he was growing as the season went on so I think Detroit's going to be a nightmare matchup for teams and I think this game is going to shoot out in terms of the Lions being able to score as many points as they want and even though Williams is a capable receiver I think that Stafford's have to be pushing the ball against that secondary quite a bit so that's my level of concern there fair I get it uh I think he will Kyon Williams will be involved in the passing game I think that split was weird last year Shawn McVey never liked Acres remember in 2022 he they barely nearly cut Acres before he had those uh here for mentioned seven good games I did fall for the banana and the tailpipe last year and drafted cam Acres a little bit so shame on me uh for that because we we knew that there was no there's no such dislike of Kiren Williams from from McVey so I think that's the thing that's a little different on that one there uh I've got I've got Williams at seven you have them outside of your top 15 I don't have any Kiron Williams this year that's the funny thing is I I did not draft him once because I am for the season I am down on him but I I think it is one of those things where good Minds can agree to differ I just again I'm not going to be going and starting n Harris over KY Williams I'm not starting Aon Jones over Kiren Williams that being the case I'm still gonna probably plug ahead and start him so real quick Jeff if you drafted kyn Williams you're starting him I don't worry about my nay saying at him you draft you believe in him and roll with it if you like videos like this please we talk about a couple of these let's move on to wide receiver Jim uh this is Puka/Kupp this is always a a tricky spot uh especially because we have to dig into the cornerback matchup sometimes sometimes you're dealing with injury you're just a Rams hater though I I don't understand I am so tell me more about why you're down on puka AA at 14 you know there's a couple things I mean first of all Cooper cup was the talk of Camp the word is that fully healthy and apparently they're saying he was not healthy last year which I thought he was when he came back in week five apparently not and the other comment the passing game was running through him which would be no great shakes because obviously that offense has run through him before but what I want to point out is last week when Cooper cup was on the pup list and missed the first four games comes back in week five in four of those first seven games when cup was back and was being utilized who Cana had 43 or fewer yards in four of those seven games at one touchdown and you want to go the first 10 games cup was back nula only had three games over 71 yards so it was basically the first four games the cup was out and then when cup was slowing down at the very end the last four games nkua raak in those eight games but in the 10 games in between when cup was kind kind of a factor Naka really wasn't and then that missing a little time with that knee issue it's just one of those things starting the season not quite right do you have cup aheading AA straight up I do do I do I think you're making a reasonable case and I think many others have many many fine people have uh borrow a pat Mayo bit uh but I I do update my rankings every Thursday you have persuaded me to move ncua down he will be moving down on this list well done Jim Coventry uh tight end I I I George Kittle don't see too many hot tight end takes especially from the top group there I mean Kyle pittz is hurt right now so that's something we're going to watch a little bit as we watch the practice rankings you're slightly down on George KD against the Jets I can see it it's a tough opponent they're gnarly gnarly defense yeah and this is one look you drafted kid latus there's ups and there's Downs you start them because you never know when the UPS are hitting but I was concerned like Trent Williams just walked in this week he's the only offensive lineman we could count on there Dominic puny the rookie maybe just looking well in Camp k maybe needed to block here more than usual if Trent Williams is not completely himself because the Jets are excellent in the front line excellent linebacker excellent corner there's no weak spot KD may be needed greatly and I Brandon auk is working his way back Christian mcaffrey missed most of Camp I just think this offense is G be a little discombobulated coming out and I think KD may have to block a little more and I don't know that the 49ers are coming into this game and putting many points up that said it's very close in our rankings but there were very few tight ends to quibble about indeed indeed and uh yeah I'm I'm not going to make an impassion case cuz seven versus 10 is tough of course you got kiddle your starting him because I think there is a pretty clear top nine some may even call it a top seven but uh you know depending on what you're doing with angram depending
