Intro Apple's iPhone event has been locked in for September 9th and we are almost one week away from seeing the new iPhone 16 lineup and for those who can't wait here are all of the major leaks and rumors that we currently know about with the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Models so let's iPhone 16 & 16 Plus Design Changes start with the standard iPhone 16 models these will actually have kind of the bigger design changes of the bunch and that will start right here with the camera so instead of a diagonal camera array like we had before we're now getting a vertical camera setup and this will now lead for the iPhone 16 and 16 plus to be able to shoot spatial videos for the Apple Vision Pro and hopefully this will help slim down that camera bump a little bit now on the left side of the iPhone Apple plans to replace the mute switch with the action button which was on the iPhone 15 Pro Models last year the action button for me has been primarily used to launch the camera app and I do use it nearly every single day but rumors suggest that another new NEW Capture Button Across ALL Models button will be added to not only the standard iPhone 16 models but also the Pro Models and it's called the capture button now the capture button will be located where the millimeter wave cutout has been underneath the power button and it'll be able to respond to pressure and touch now hopefully it can act as my new way to launch into the camera app so I can use that action button for something else but I'm not sure if that's totally the case with this button now the capture button will be able to do things like if you lightly press down on the button to autofocus while capturing an image or video and this is very similar to to how a traditional camera will work instead of pressing all the way down to take the photo you kind of hold it down just a little bit and it'll start to autofocus you can press harder on the button to obviously take the photo and then you can swipe left or right on the button to zoom in and out and there may also be a gesture for switching between photo and video modes similar to how you can capture a video with a press and swipe in the iPhone camera app lastly New Colors for iPhone 16 & 16 Plus for the standard iPhone 16 models it looks like we're going to get new color on that color infused frosted glass back that I absolutely love so this year we're looking at the standard black and white options but now it looks like the new shades of blue far more saturated which would be great cuz last year the pastel colors kind of boring and also you get a new green and instead of it being pastel it's a little bit darker kind of looks turquoise there's also that pink color from last year that was really popular now before we get into Sponsor: here aside from the addition of the capture button that we just talked about is that now we'll have new sizes the pro will increase from a 6.1 to 6.3 in and the pro Max will go from that 6.7 to 6.9 in and this just isn't a reduction in bezels though those will be thinner than ever it's also just going to be a slightly larger device overall the other major visual change will come with a new New Bronze Color for Pro Phones color so this year you can expect to see the same black white/silver and natural titanium as last year which by the way that natural titanium is just gray uh but the new color option which will replace the blue is this new bronze gold like color which honestly I kind of like for some reason now I don't necessarily love the way it looks in this photo but in renders that I've seen I thought it looks really good of course it'll probably end up being closer to what you see in this photo than what I was seeing in the renders maybe I'm just kind of guessing uh but either way I'm open to it and I can't wait to check it out in person otherwise I'm probably going to go with black this year but I'd love to hear from you in the comments down below colors are just such a controversial topic for some reason these days so let me know what yall think in the comments Camera Upgrades, A18 Chip & Stacked Batteries! now the other major changes out there are going to be more on the inside or more out of sight but we're expecting some updates to the camera with the ultrawide lens now being upgraded to a 48 megapixel sensor and the telephoto lens will now be that 5x optical zoom on both the iPhone 16 pro and pro Max this year a feature that was only found on the 15 Pro Max we can also expect some big changes to the battery as apple is using its new stacked Battery Technology to help fit more battery into the same form factor and size of the iPhone that we have today with the pro Max and standard iPhone both apparently gaining the most amount of battery jumping up roughly 5 to 6% respectively last but not least we can expect the a18 chip and it's unclear whether or not each phone will go with the same name chip or if it'll be the a18 for the iPhone 16 and 16 plus and then the a18 pro for the Pro Models but either way it's clear that performance should be improved and especially helping out with all of the Apple intelligence features that were not only already announced back at WWDC but hopefully we see some new iPhone 16 specific Apple intelligence features that will rely on that A8 chip again the iPhone event is set for Monday September
