hi guys hello Namaste Namaste Namaste Namaste so welcome and uh after the premiere we are talking and as I said the show looks like a fine wine no enjoyed the two episodes so J uh three women directors have directed this so it's normally not we see women directors directing such a big series and all the three so what were your thoughts when you gave the r to those three women sure well we interviewed uh a couple different people some of them were men some of them were women and uh Charlotte uh Senna and Lis um just kind of happened to end up being the three that we we really felt like we resonated with creatively and each of them brought sort of a different kind of energy you know Luis has this sort of really fun uh energetic uh you know almost hyperactive in a good way kind of kind of energy saana is just you know really really such a steady hand to the wheel and knows exactly what she wants to get is so specific in her intentionality as a director and then Charlotte brings a filmmaker's eye uh and she had done two of our favorite episodes season one and so we were really excited to bring her back for four episodes and as a producing director for season two um so with all three of them we enjoyed a really close collaboration and they worked really well together actually they became kind of a community um and uh we just feel really a privileged to work with three such talented filmmakers you two look very different than what we see there all shabby what we saw in butar you both look very beautiful thank you but like shabby chic right exactly so how was that experience I mean all dirty dirty and I mean I don't mind I actually quite like the look of the halfs I feel like it's all you definitely feel in character there's kind of no way that I can feel myself in in when I'm when I'm in all of the costume and and the makeup and everything and the feet so that's brilliant I feel like anything that helps you get into your character and make you feel like Nori or poppy like it all helps and so I'm I'm grateful I get to play someone who gets to transform in that way yeah it's I think it feels very it's not you know as you said like it's a very rare thing to get the experience of being made up for 3 hours like not you know you don't get that kind of transformation every day um and so it's a real privilege to be a able to yeah experience that J you made very big shows I want to ask you how important is the writing I mean that's where it all begins um you know with without a script um you don't have a road map it's like getting dropped in the ocean and and not knowing which way to to to travel um you have to have a plan um and you have to have a story that's worth telling right um we're very fortunate that tolken has given us uh a road map of what uh the big events of the second age are and then our Joy is to go in and find how to characterize um people who sometimes are are written in sort of um you know archetypal you know sort of forms or big Strokes in the legendarium we have just a couple sentences like you know Charlie Edwards who plays Kell bmore I think there's three or four sentences about Kell bmore within the rights that we have so we take you know those basic ideas and then say okay what would a relationship between Kell bbor and the dark lord saon be like and how do we bring that to life or you know with the harf foots we know what their General Community was like we know sort of what their experiences were like in that period of of time um but how do we you know invest that that uh group with a culture and a history and and how do we find individual personalities for each of the people and that's the real fun of it so you have to have a script um for anyone else to be able to do any of their jobs when you got your first ring of your life when did I got your first ring the first ring that I ever got ring of your life of my life ooh probably probably some at a random store Australia I guess how old you maybe 10 or 12 just at a market or something I I don't know I never really wore jewelry as a kid too much if you get a ring which has power what will you do oh wow yeah I'd love to just speak any language in the world yeah I think it would just be so helpful and also incredible and I'm so jealous and EnV people who can speak so many languages yeah it's I actually remember the first thing I got I was 8 years old and it said CTR and it stood for choose the right goodness wow mine was like cl's accessories any any favorite Indian actor oh gosh that's that's hard we met with Ric um what's his name what's his last Ric Russian yes yeah we met met with him uh in in Mumbai season one he was great and enjoy him a lot yes yeah I'm trying to think um oh there's just so many Bollywood is great it's such an incredible um industry there yeah yeah there's just there's too many I mean yeah I mean she's fan our owny girl she is also because I oh I'm not sure if I'm that to say but someone we know is doing oh I can't say anyways but I just I'm yeah I'm a big fan of no I think we can can we say there's an Indian actor season 2 I think are we allowed to say that yeah yeah there there's any actor in The Show season 2 um who I think people will be excited to meet oh that's great so we're looking forward to that and all the best guys this looks like a great show and we hope everyone will
