in the evening of Marcus's day they have dinner and a baseball stadium and Marcus says he doesn't come from a perfect family far from it and proceeds to tell a story that I don't remember one more brutal than this yeah he says that one day his parents brought them to daycare and just never came back he says that started a very rough chapter of his childhood and he and his sister were in several foster homes Jen says she understands now why he's holding back him sharing this shows his strength she can't imagine this journey without him she gives him Rose it's a really beautiful moment I think that as much as that affected Jen in a way where she felt empathy for him yeah I actually think that in the end this may be the deciding factor as to her picking Devon but I feel like that's the kind of thing where yeah you feel really sorry for the person but you also instinctively think about yourself like wait there have to be such Dee rooted issues there of Abandonment rejection everything am I ready to be in that for the rest of my life
