Kevin Sinfield honors Rob Burrow in a tearful tribute

my good friend Rob burough sadly passed away just over six weeks ago from M andd yesterday on Wednesday July 24th rugby league Legend Kevin sinfield was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Leeds in the University's Great Hall he became a doctor of laws sinfield was made a CBE in the New Year honors for the charity work he did for motor neuron disease M andd with his dear friend and former teammate Rob burrow at the ceremony sinfield spoke of Burrow's lasting impact saying burrow had inspired and influenced people all over the world these friendships were forged through facing good and difficult times together my good friend Rob burough sadly passed away just over 6 weeks ago from M andd it was a heroic battle he was the bravest and toughest person I have ever met Rob James a landscape for MD fames across the UK and influenced and inspired people all over the world he helped the vulnerable vulnerable feel safe feel accepted and brought people together Rob inspired me to be a better person a better friend to be more kind to think of others by doing this amazing things happen life becomes so much more fulfilling and special sinfield and burrow raised over 15 million for M andd burrow sadly passed away in May at the age of 41 after being diagnosed with the disease in 2019 from 2001 to 2015 burrow and sinfield played side by side winning Seven Grand finals two challenge Cup finals at Wembley and three World Club titles Rob inspired me to be a better person a better friend to be more kind to think of others sinfield said by doing this amazing things happen life becomes so much more fulfilling and special Rob burrow the legendary leads rhinos player passed away on June 2nd 2024 after a courageous battle with motor neuron disease M&D which he was diagnosed with in 2019 throughout this battle his best friend and and teammate Kevin sinfield stood by him in every way when burrow was diagnosed with M andd sinfield's response was nothing short of heroic determined to support his friend and raise awareness for M andd sinfield undertook several remarkable charity challenges in December 2020 he ran seven marathons in seven days symbolizing Burrow's iconic number 7 jersey this effort captured Hearts worldwide raising over 2 million pounds for M andd research and support in November 2021 sinfield pushed himself further running 101 miles in 24 hours from leester to Leeds this grueling challenge brought in even more funds and highlighted the Relentless fight against M andd together their efforts raised Millions for research and showed the power of friendship and community in the face of adversity Kevin sinfield's dedication and Rob Burrow's unwavering Spirit continue to inspire and drive the fight against M andd may his soul rest in Eternal peace thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe if you don't want to miss our daily latest news
