welcome back everyone the action-packed final episode of The Amazing Race candada ended in dramatic fashion last night let's take a look oh my God oh my God go go go keep going buddy keep [Applause] going oh my God oh my God we do it we do it please welcome only the second all female winning team of Amazing Race candada Taylor mcferson and KD M congratulations making me [Applause] cry we need some tis we're tears of joy we're so happy to be here and what an amaz your makeup looks so good make me cry moving back tears to my eyes Goosebumps incc that moment that you're like you're just in disbelief and you're like did we win did we win first of all I just want to say congratulations uh my daughter and I were rooting for you guys the whole time there is this beautiful humility to you that just comes across on screen this is so welld deserved thank you what were you thinking in that moment like what was in your head I know you didn't believe it but was it complete utter disbelief that's it we were shocked like there's no words to describe that experience and getting up there and like we were asking like are are we number one yeah we could not believe what had just happened and you know the journey that we had been through the ups Downs you know was a roller coaster and to be that final team on that mat [Applause] unbelievable okay speaking of this journey what was the hardest challenge yeah oh my gosh I mean we kind of came to conclusion that it was the oyster uh search challenge um we're zooming around on the on the watercrafts and we just kept looking in the wrong spot you know and not only were we doing that but to slow it down I'm like bumping into the cages and I'm it was it was it was tough we were out there for a few hours like the guys literally made it to Nova Scotia and back still beat us and we were like you drove to Nova Scotia we were so cross provincial lines and they were maybe there for five minutes and then whoop they're gone like what's going on here which kind of speaks to the ups and downs and you never know where the race is going to go and especially this season I mean I've been watching every season since the Inception and there's often dominant teams they win a ton of legs or all the things and this season it was up and down and sideways it was just this team this week this team this week so um who do you think was your toughest competition out of all the other teams honestly I'd have to say you know what the twins double trouble they gave us trouble and dou Taylor Nicole yeah they're a tough team um physically mentally and their ability to memorize they were so good you know if they're acting they're acting background like they just they had a little bit of everything yeah they cooked their omelets they didn't fry them they cooked their omelets they didn't fry them there you go you you lost a friend recently which must have been so challenging and and you've talked about how that friend brought you strength how how did that friend inspire you in race you know what my friend Holly she passed away into like a tragic car accident and you know what she was definitely somebody I was running that race for and honestly I seriously felt like we had a third person running the race with us there was many moments where she was there and I know that she was looking out for us and especially in you know our this seventh leg where we almost got eliminated our time was almost cut short in that race and you know I have to give this one to Holly like she she made sure she was like nope it's not your time you're in this race you guys keep going push through true like she knew she gave us she gave us that little this season was grueling and of course it starts in Niagara Falls Ontario and ends in Edmonton Alberta which is home which is lovely um what did you two learn about each other along this journey I mean I think one of the things I learned most is like kitty is literally the most supportive friend somebody could ask for like she is the sweetest person she's just the she's the best best friend I could ask for and I could not have ran this race with anyone else because I don't think anybody would have pushed me and brought me out of my dumps as much as Katie did so I forever grateful for her what about you Katie you know what with Taylor honestly like I was so you know she was honestly amazing to watch you know there's times that she's struggling and she's at a low but she never gave up you know some people would throw in the towel and she's like nope she you know sometimes you got to give her a moment to cry okay she's like you know what a few moments give me give me a minute let me cry it out and then I'll get back in there you know she she pushes through she is a hard worker she's determined and she was just persistent and honestly like I've never seen somebody work through those struggling moments yeah I'm sure you never want to see a Ball Toss on a zipline ever again but that's a whole other story definitely uh let's not bury the lead here ladies because last night you won a quarter of a million dollar [Applause] so I mean now what I mean that's a that's a famous question right now um I work for a a nonprofit and Indigenous sport organization so um I think you know I'm working on a lot of programming there right now and there's one specific program that I want to push and hopefully maybe create my own nonprofit out of or business um so that's kind of what's next I think you know working on really developing that but yeah great and maybe like did you have a pizza party or something maybe you have a lot of vacations to take there's that too we got some planning to do some trip planning and got a buddy to travel the world with now
