[Music] what's going on YouTube this is HD one sports and you're watching our Big Ten football Channel despite a challenging schedule in 2019 Wisconsin was able to win the Big Ten West this year the conference schedule maybe not quite as bad that on to play Ohio State but the non-conference schedule is much tougher last year they played USF the University of South Florida that was about it in the non-conference had a very weak non-conference schedule this year and we all know they played they will play Notre Dame that's not the only challenge though in the non-conference for Wisconsin I think this 2020 schedule is going to be difficult once again but again in the conference not quite as bad because they don't want to play Ohio State they do play Michigan again and we're gonna show you the schedule here break it down for 2020 let's get right into it all right they open up the year on a Thursday night or a Friday night I should say against Indiana so they will play Indiana on Friday night at home that's gonna be a pretty big game Indiana has a lot coming back Wisconsin without Jonathon say they're gonna be trying to get that running game figured out so that could be all right I think it will be a competitive game now Wisconsin should be favored especially at home but again it should be a competitive game and then in week two on September 12th at play southern Illinois should have role in that game but here's the game that you don't want to overlook September 19th they will play Appalachian State Appalachian State goes into Wisconsin and what well actually I think be a good game and this is a very good team very good program they lose their top running back was their coach so I mean the Wisconsin should be favored in this game but probably double digits are close to it but I don't think you can overlook that game because the next week Wisconsin goes are on the road to face Michigan you know Michigan's gonna be wanting revenge after Wisconsin put a beat-down on them last year this time it's at Michigan Michigan's the team has stuff to figure out right now don't really know how good they're gonna be but we know they're gonna be a good team and playing in the big house will be very tough so Wisconsin will open up Big Ten play with a tough challenge there actually that's the second game because they play Indiana week one but after Michigan how about this back-to-back at Michigan and then in Green Bay they will plate Notre Dame at Lambeau Field so distance-wise it's a home game for Wisconsin basically but I expect there to be plenty of Notre Dame veins fans at that game on October the 3rd that is a huge non-conference game between two teams that might might have playoff hopes this year I mean I know they have playoff hopes but they might be in that playoff discussion at the end of the year so that's you know basically probably an Eliminator game for those two teams I'm not saying they can't make it if they lose that game but more than likely they're not gonna win the rest of their game so that is a huge game they're Wisconsin Notre Dame looking forward to that one the next week on October the 10th they will play Minnesota a Minnesota you know came in there last year thought that they were gonna win the West after a really good start to the season but Wisconsin derailed that late in the year and they're gonna look to to get another win over Minnesota this year they'll play at home and then get a bye week after that Wisconsin then goes on the road to face Maryland shouldn't be too big of a challenge they're a sneaky game against Illinois well it shouldn't be sneaky at all because Illinois beat Wisconsin just last year Wisconsin will be at home this time it'll annoy brings a lot back and they're gonna have confidence in this game you know so that could be a really big game and I don't think I'm not saying Illinois is a front-runner or one of the top contenders in the Big Ten West but they're a sleeper team they are a team that has enough coming back this year to maybe maybe make a run in that division if they're going to do it they'll probably have to win this game a Wisconsin just needs to take care of business at home now go into the month of November opening up on November 7th with a road game at Northwestern follow that up with a road game at Purdue I think that Purdue game could be a pretty big challenge I think that Purdue team will be much better this year and then after that it'll be Nebraska on November 21st and they finish up the season at Iowa on November 28th you look at the history of this division it's kind of in Wisconsin in Iowa they've been the top two teams for some time now and it could all come down to that the last weekend of the season Wisconsin versus Iowa potentially for the Big Ten West championship but I think there's going to be a lot of teams that have a say in that conversation when you talk about of course Minnesota coming back after a great year last year and other teams getting better like Purdue Nebraska Illinois I think it's gonna be a great race but it could it could come down to those two traditional teams Wisconsin and Iowa at the end of the season so you break down the schedule non-conference very tough with appstate and Notre Dame they're cross divisional matchups you got a road game at Michigan and they'll play Indiana and Maryland so at least they avoid Penn State and Ohio State that's the good news and then the row games in the division you have Northwestern at Purdue you have Iowa so all in all convert scheduled on is bad non-conference schedule much tougher so I would say that this Wisconsin schedule is probably if you had to rank it probably about the same as what they had last year but there will be lots of big games involving the Wisconsin Badgers in my opinion this upcoming 2020 college football season thank you for watching this video if you're a Big Ten football fan please subscribe to the channel leave us your thoughts
