Today, Broomfield, police identified the man behind an active shooter situation at the Arista Flats apartments. Earlier this week, police say Gregory Miles is still in the hospital tonight. Yesterday morning, police say he got into a shootout with police after also shooting at other apartment units and the parking lot. This happened off highway 36 in Wadsworth. The 34 year old got hit several times as well. Police say ultimately, Miles took a woman hostage and killed her. Police have not identified the victim nor have they explained the relationship. If any between her and miles, he is now facing a murder charge and some of the people who live in that apartment complex were allowed to go back to their homes. Yesterday, others had to wait until this morning to be left back in.
