we know more about what community members think about the possibility of school closures in the district of Lacrosse the lacrosse School District Board hearing from community members tonight in support of keeping schools open this comes following the citizen-based F faculty advisory committee uh passing along its recommendations for which schools should close now seven people from the community spoke up for schools like hinin Spence Northwoods and Emerson Betsy Stannard who was one of the first teachers at Northwoods International School says she doesn't want to see any school closed Northwoods needs to stay open it's a young school it's a good building a well-designed happy building that children can learn in and teachers feel very comfortable teaching and must stay open superintendent Aaron angle says it's been a challenge over the last few years with declining enrollment deficit budgets and aging building but also saying that the board appreciates people coming out to speak their mind
