[Music] it took just two practices for Green Bay Packers head coach Matt lefur to shift his perspective on heading into Friday's season opener in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles with a kicker he had never seen play in person before initially Leaf Flur was caned about the uncertainty surrounding rookie kicker bra narison before narison arrived at the Packers facilities last week lefur described the situation as Uncharted Territory and admitted that having an improving kicker could absolutely 100% influence in-game decisions however after observing nar's nearly Flawless performance in his first two practices lefleur's confidence in the young kicker seemed to grow rapidly yeah I've seen enough to be confident in him Leaf Flur said on Sunday if you're asking whether I have confidence in him the answer is absolutely several factors likely contributed to lefleur's change of heart during his first practice with the Packers narison reportedly made all five of his kicks in a closed scrimmage at Lambo field including a challenging 58 Y in windy conditions on Sunday narison went five of six with his only miss coming from 51 yards he quickly rebounded by nailing a 53 y it's what you dream of right narison said about making a strong first impression at the end of the day all you can ask for is the opportunity and when you get it you've got to be ready to step up you only get one chance to make a first impression and I was very aware of that the Packers claimed narvis and off waivers from the Tennessee Titans last Wednesday making him the sixth kicker to join the Packers since the end of the previous season his arrival led to the release of Anders Carlson who struggled during his rookie season though the Packers had scouted narvon during the draft process they didn't offer him a contract after he went undrafted narvon had been with the Titans were he impressed by making six of seven field goals including a 59 Y and a game winner before Tennessee decided to go with veteran kicker Nick Folk instead narvis expressed his surprise at being picked up by the Packers but was thrilled about the opportunity I'm ecstatic to be here he said I'm going to keep improving because I don't want to stop here
