Caroline first just a check-in you're an absolute Warrior you battled through obviously not feeling 100% how are you feeling now um my bag is a little sore but uh it's worse when I serve I could still move pretty well so um I'm just hoping I get some treatment and then uh you know have a day off tomorrow which is nice and then be good to go next day after that you've come back to the tour after being out for a little while for those of us who have civilian eyes we can't really tell what's the last thing to come back in this journey back is it timing is it your lungs is it how you play the big points what's the final piece honestly I feel like my game is there I feel like it was already there last year when I came back and this was one of my first tournaments back I felt like I was already hitting it well I think the biggest thing is my body um I've had some ups and downs this year we're just trying to stay healthy and it's definitely not easy I think you know after giving birth to two kids your body is not quite the same and you know it's a lot of pressure on it to be out here and competing against the best players in the world and you know I'm trying every day to get stronger get better but uh it's not always easy I'm Al also not 20 years old anymore you know I may be 21 but you know it's uh it can I can feel [Applause] it Caroline sure Sur the little girl in you that dreamed about playing tennis on the biggest stages has to enjoy 11:00 p.m. and this many people have stuck around to watch you play that has to still mean a lot absolutely I mean I love playing out here night sessions on the biggest courts it's what we train for every single day so thank you so much everyone for staying out here for so long and especially also for all the kids that I know it's way past your bedtime but thank you so much for staying here and supporting me at this hour as well one last maybe slightly awkward question put you on the spot you spent some time in broadcast and um if you were standing here talking to the Caroline Waki what's the one question you would ask her as a broadcaster um I don't know that's a great question um I guess what's your favorite thing about New York hey Caroline I'm curious to know what's what's your favorite thing about New York I love um the atmosphere here I love the buzz of the city I love that people stay out late I I love that this the biggest venues in tennis I love that it's you know a big party every year it's only getting bigger and the restaurants the people um and also my husband who's a former Knicks player so you know obviously we have we have a lot of love here in this city shout out D Lee well I have some news for you New York loves Caroline Waki show some love everyone thank you so much thank you
