everybody has their you know beauty is the eye of the beholder looking at the eye of the beholder ESP you have black eye [Music] all right sweetie that's where I lived off of Darnell I lived at where this Modern Art Museum was used to be in in the '90s it was apartment complex we did a scene from True West inside the apartment entire time I lived in an apartment complex which is right back there I never once did a show at C from Miana and I only saw a few shows there really great p [Music] this is 8 I grew up off of 8 Aven actually to be honest sweetie I was born right up here I know dear okay hey this is a moment I know but you could do it after my interview okay hang on just real quick trying to focus yes last 30 seconds okay Late July in 1973 this was known as All Saints it's right there I was born right over here my mom they back in the 70s they' give them ether to knock them out for the for the paint they give them ether and they would kind of go unconscious a little bit so they would feel the whole birthing pain now they do it differently back in the day that's what they would give them so it would kind of numb their pain they basically get them high as they're having uh child now it's right off West Magnolia this was the hospital now Baylor Scott White All Saints they kept the name on it all right we're still in 8th Avenue they added these bushes right here in in the mid 90 in the mid90s these bushes were not there and there was a rail road that would let LED you to Pascal high school it's still there today I would walk that railroad um okay got to a shirt C Crossing Elizabeth Boulevard so I turn to go to my home that way I would get to into the railroad right through here and then I'd walk the railroad to Pasco there it is you can still see the tracks down here by cider Cade and the tracks through there and I would walk back the same way just like Stand By Me but all this was a lot of this was here that wasn't the fiesta was another there was like a wind Dixie the post office which is right up here was still there um that was there but that car wash was there that car wash was right off of West Robert that's the same car wash and this bronze almost worked at this bronze I just couldn't do it cuz I listened to Steven Patrick morresy and the Smiths and they ate a lot of meat here and I was a vegetarian all right let's go get some food all right okay this is 8th Avenue this is known as Ryan's place this is where I pretty much grew up as a teenager if you take Roberts Wes Roberts or KY or any of these roads I used to drive my it was a roadster Porsche 1973 9914 Porsche they're roadsters are like sports cars they don't go real fast but they turn like Tron I used to drive it all right all around here all the time one of these roads is known as willing right in Rin place I right plays I'm in plays and I lived on willing this is like the West Side okay Robert bosquez who is a great playright probably the next Lura he lived on willing on the other side of town on the east side like way way over here cuz willing goes that far only it breaks up through Barry he lives on the other side there's fif for all this area we used travel around I was going to start something called the Willing Street Productions lo and behold is willing Avenue but I like willing Street Productions better the Willing Avenue was what we lived on we lived on one side of willing I lived on the other side of willing we're both on the same street only in two different areas of town he lived in kind of Latino culture I lived among Christians and Jews really they were Hebrew Christian in the Hebrews you know you only call them Jews if you know for sure they're from the tribe of Judea some are from The Tribe of Benjamin some are from different tribes so really they're Israelites and Christians but they call this Ryan's place off of Ryan Avenue and there it is willing Avenue it was 2618 willing Avenue I want to talk about novels and I want to talk about movies and I want to talk about time after time it's 1979 everyone's screaming okay calm down calm down I know oh I love that movie I love that movie that movie is so cool yes it's Michael McDow I know Gary ol man's like going I love Time After Time Gary stop sucking your thumb I've heard he does it but what I mean is that okay Gary Olman was a big fan of Michael McDow he loved his work having glasses problems there we go Time After Time the novel came out in 1979 by Carl blah blah blah and when it was released they began to turn it into a movie by this other director who wrote it so he got a hold of the book and he just wrote that puppy out I mean it was like Sam Shepard style and they got to town Carl I mean Carl whatever blah blah blah Michael McDow pulled off a great performance it's about time travel it goes from like uh 1890 is you know London and he's got this key that turns on the the time machine is there equalizer and he talks about you know all this time travel Theory and then he goes we're going to go stop Jack the Ripper you know whatever and he jumps in the thing and boom he goes to the 19 uh 7s yeah it's crazy it's crazy you got to check it out okay so HG Wells decides to get into the time machine this is Michael McDow playing it 1979 and they're in the 1890s London and so boom he time travels goes back to where Jack the Ripper was then something happens they bounce and they end up in present time 1979 and the time machine is on display at a museum and they're all running around and all this plot stuff it's beautiful film Michael McDow was great he was like by far uh our one of our most Charming actors now he wasn't Tech technically gifted like Gary Oldman Gary Oldman likes him um he wasn't technically gifted to to to this extent where he could he didn't do like major charactery Marlon Brando Gary Oldman type of performances he wasn't the biggest character actor but he has done stuff he had experience he he he had the ability to be a character actor but he played it kind of straight you know kind of like Richard Gear or something kind of like himself check it out 1979 the book the novel was written in 1979 the writer was the director the filmmaker boom amazing film I'm going to go look for it you can find it it's good all right I I messed up a little bit HG Wells is displaying his time machine we're talking about um Time After Time 1979 with Malcolm Mell so he's displaying The Time Machine he has like this no return key this is like it's some kind of key that he and then he has an vaporizing equalizer and he's explaining how it works everything like this all of a sudden there's a guy in a laboratory named Stevenson well they think he might be Jack the Ripper they they they're starting they're starting to look for him this is 1893 London they think it might be him so he has to escape so he jumps in the time of traveling machine and takes off to I believe 1979 the present day and HD Wales follows him and that's when the cat and mouse game begins Michael McDow beautiful performance Gary Oldman loves the movie so we're going to talk a little bit more so this was about based on a novel it's time after time it was written in 1979 and the screenplay was constructed in 1979 within the same year and it launched out a movie one of the directors or somebody in there is named Carl okay now here we go Michael badal plays HG Wells he has a friend named Stevenson that's his last name he's a surgeon the detectives are out there looking for uh Jack the river in 1892 whatever 1893 3ish around that time and Jack the Ripper uh they don't know who he is but his friend Stevenson happens to be a surgeon they find these bloody gloves it's very kind of OJ the next thing you know bam they're going to get Stephenson for being Jack the Ripper Jack the Ripper but Stephenson uh remember the time traveling machine has a non return key so if you don't take that key it'll just return back to its original spot you got to have the key so he jumps in the time machine without the key and takes off to 1979 to the future he escapes this is Stevenson he's stuck in this the future but the time machine returns back to HG wells in 1890 HG Wells get gets into the time machine and goes to 1979 to search out Jack the Ripper it's a good movie check it out Michael McDow that might be the one okay just to let you know when HG Wells leaves 1890 London to go look for Jack the Ripper who took his machine and did a joy ride and went to San Francisco San Francisco yeah I'm doing like a kind of halfway trip tripping off the tongue it's called a tongue twister and thought twister too so yeah actors need to do this stuff a little bit Yeah they need to do like time travel movies and explain them when he goes to San Francisco he must look for Jack the Ripper Jack the Ripper is there in San Francisco see the difference between the two Jack the Ripper is there in San Francisco try it again Jack the Ripper is there in San Francisco he's there in 1979 because he traveled from 1890 in London now this is a movie called time after time it was also based on a novel by some dude named either the director's named Carl or someone out there's named Carl that was behind the writing and the movie making cuz you know novels novelist are anyway it takes place 1979 San Francisco check it out sorry to sit in solemn silence in a dull dark do and a pestilential prison with a lifelong lock awaiting the sensation of a short sharp shock from a chi and Chippy Chopper on a big black block right Kitty okay so what's cool is when HG Wells travels to San Francisco to search for Jack the Ripper in time after time he finds airplanes and cars and all that stuff disturbing it's very very good Linda have you seen Time After Time 1979 Michael mow movie yes I have have you really yes I have the return key and all that stuff where he comes back and he goes to San Francisco yes it's a great movie we got toilet paper well no what type paper paper towels paper towels all right we're off like a dumb ass okay sometimes they get tied up because of food service and time they can't always perform the interview it can take some time you'll have to come and go come and go got a h and stuff every once in a while it's a non-alcoholic premium MI mixed ginger beer I they they sell it at Whole Foods and stuff even a Central Market nonalcoholic it's wonderful
