Reacting to the Ballon D'or Nominees

hey guys welcome back to the channel in front of me I have the list of the 30 men who are in contention to win this year's FIFA ballondor in October one of these guys will take home the most prestigious individual trophy in the history of football and since this list was released earlier today or yesterday I'm pretty sure it has been met with a lot of controversy but that's just the nature of football fans or really sports fans in general we are never really happy with anything we always have a bone Tock with every award that's given or every list that's released everybody thinks oh why is this rival player here but my player is not here this guy should not be on the list blah blah blah blah blah like I said football fans and sports fans are truly never happy and this list was no different a lot of players who people believe should not be on this list made the list and a lot of players who people believe should have made the list did not make the list but today here on the Mee sball Channel meech no ball or meei as you guys know me is going to give you guys his why am I talking to third person I'm going to give you guys my opinion on who I believe got snubbed and who I believe should not be on the list and just talk about it overall this should be really really fun whatever you guys agree or disagree with let me know in the comments section down below but anyway let's get into it number one I want to say this before we get into any snubs or any of that stuff me Jamal being on this list this puts the biggest smile on my face it puts the biggest smile on my face because this kid remember guys he's 17 years old and he's getting nominated for stuff that he did at 16 because obviously it's about last season last season Lam was 16 for the Euros for most of the euros and for the whole season for the bar season he was 16 years old the fact that he's getting nominated at 16 is crazy again the most prestigious individual award in the history of football and Lam Jamal is already a nominee I believe Lam Jamal if Barca can can have the trophy cabinet to back it up he will win multiple of these Awards in the next 5 years that's how good I believe he is and the fact that he's already on this list at 17 is just so mind-blowing to me barcel last year were a dumbster fire but again all bright spot was lamin Jamal and this year cements that BARC have the best youngster maybe in the history of football but definitely currently so again to see L Jamal on this list is dope but again enough glazing L Jamal because we do that already every single week on this channel let's talk about some the other guys here the biggest thing that I saw the biggest thing that I noticed that caught my eye when I saw this list was the omission of olle Watkins olle Watkins not being on this list to me is Criminal a guy who finished top four in goal scored in the Premier League with 19 and also had the most assists in the Premier League with 13 so 32ga in the Premier League alone and he did not manage to make this list that to me is Criminal because there's other guys on this list that should not be on here over oi Watkins like for example and this is a guy who everybody's been picking on but I got to be honest here I don't think he should be on this list adamala lookman I understand had a hat trick in the Europa League and that's obviously amazing that's huge and he won more trophies than than than oie Watkins because Aston Ville did not win a trophy and Atlanta won the the the the Europa League obviously and put an end to Bar leverkusen's undefeated Reign so again I understand how important that is and lukman was really really good at afcon and he had a really really good copal campaign as well but to me again they put too much emphasis on these on these like on these tournaments bro on these tournaments like I mean the season has to matter for something and unless you had an overwhelming uh Camp tournament run like like Messi had back in 2020 in the World Cup it should not like you should not put that above and like a really really good League season and oie Watkins had an amazing League season I mean the season that he had for Aston Villa again he's not playing for Arsenal or Man City or Liverpool he's playing for Aston Villa and what he did I think he should have been on this list definitely overlan he should have been on this list over lukman in my opinion and you can even argue over dock I mean dock made this list and again he won trophy list last year he was a Pichi in La Liga but he won trophy list last year as well and for me if I if you had to if you ask me who had a better season DOL bck or OE Watkins I would honestly I would lead towards ol OE Watkins and I also believe OE Watkins is a better player but that's besides the point but again to me OE Watkins not being on this list was criminal the other thing that I noticed when I saw this list is there's four Arsenal players on here igard saliva uh Dean rice and bukayo Saka I'm fine with Saka being on this list I think he's that good and he had an amazing Euro campaign I think Saka should be on this list I'm okay with William SBA being on this list as well because again he had such a good season and was so good at the Euros I'm fine with that but to see Martin odard and Dean rice on here it's crazy to me because you would think that Arsenal won a treble with the amount of players they have on this list and if you're going to have this many Arsenal players on here because they pushed City all the way but again they didn't win a trophy Liverpool won a trophy Muhammad Salah should be on this list in my opinion over or deard or Dean rice pick what pick whichever player you want and again I'm not trying to sit here and say that Delan rice and Ard were but again it seems like they value trophies for some players but not for other players because Dean rice didn't win a trophy Martin Ard didn't win a trophy uh Muhammad Salah won the the efl cup that you can even argue vir Jo Van de should be on here you can even argue Alexis Mcall should should should be on here Trent I know he missed a lot of the season but when he played he was amazing You could argue he should have been on here instead of some of these Arsenal players because again they wanton a trophy and Arsenal did not want a trophy and you don't get a trophy for pushing City all the way ask Liverpool about that Liverpool never got a trophy for that okay so again for me to see again I'm not trying to see here say that Arsenal or like Arsenal offense are going be like oh bro you're picking on us you had a really really good season you should not have four players nominated for the ball L four Arsenal players is crazy to me fortina did not win a single trophy Liverpool they should have some representation on here because again like I said Virgil Van djk Muhammad Salah I mean Muhammad Salah quietly had last season he made the list and he should have made the list this season he didn't make the list and he should have made the list he had just under 40j in all comps last year for Liverpool and I understand he fell off a little bit when he came back from afcon which he tends to do a lot actually but still like he's been really really good really really good so again for me Muhammad Salah should 100% be on this list or any Liverpool player over any of these over one of those two Arsenal players for me the other thing that people are talking about is Rodrigo Rodrigo did not make the list Rodrigo had just under 30 GA and all comps a guy who obviously scored important goals from for Real Madrid against City and obviously was a guy who was part of that Madrid team that won everything I mean Madrid have the most nominees out of any team here because obviously they won the the UCL and they won their league so again Rodrigo did not make the list I think Rodrigo should have made the list again people know I'm a Barca fan but I'm not look I I'm I'm I'm on this that was so bad that was a bad stutter I'm on this channel to be unbiased and just to give my opinion and when I see guys like Ruben Diaz on this list who again was not even City's best defender last year but I don't see Rodrigo who again say what you will about him when it comes to like his his start of the Season he had a really really good season as a whole when it comes to his output I think he should be on the assist I think Rodrigo did enough to be on the assist now his cop America campaign was wful it was trash he was so bad at the cop America but again he should be on the assist because he deserves that respect and I think actually for Madrid fans this is the worst thing that could have happened for Rodrigo unless you don't like Rodrigo but in that if you if you're a Rodrigo fan and you're a real Madrid fan this is the worst thing that could have happened for you because Rodrigo once he sees this he obviously responded already on Instagram about like he posted a bunch of pictures of like his trophy cab and all that stuff Rodrigo already probably feels uh marginalized in that Madrid side because he's not v he's not mbappe he's not Jude Bingham and you know everybody says if if Rodrigo leaves he's going to be like he's going to be one of the best players in the world and I think once he sees this he's going to be like you know what I don't get the recognition I deserve at this club I'm going to go somewhere else because I think Rodrigo should have made the top 30 I I really do believe Rodrigo should have made the top 30 of the ball Ando of the of the Balor NES again I'm not saying he he should have woned or finished in the top 10 but the top 30 Rodrigo is definitely one of the 30 best players in the world last year he was definitely one of the 30 best players in the world last last year and for me again like I said when you look at guys like Ruben Diaz and Dolph bck was Dolph bck really better than Rodrigo are we really going to put dock on the list ahead of Rodrigo like are we being for real now a guy who want to a guy who want basically every trophy you want to put to win we're going to put him we're not going to put him on this list but we're going to put Aram dock on this list to me that's crazy but again those are my biggest gripes with this list anybody Jamar M should have been on here but Bon underachieved so much when it comes to trophies that again I don't think you know when it comes to a player I think he was maybe snub but again the trophies are just really not there but again you have Cole Palmer on this list who I think he should be rightfully on this list I'm not I'm not picking out Cole Palmer because he was so overwhelming last year for Chelsea but again he didn't come close to winning a Trophy last year he didn't come close actually know they did come close they lost in the efl Cup Final actually but again like he he didn't win a trophy you know he he didn't win a trophy so for me again I don't know where the criteria is here sometimes because you have you have a bunch of Arsenal players who again none of those guys want a single trophy but they have four nominees but then Liverpool win a trophy but they don't have a single guy on here including their best player in my opinion in bukai Osaka and bukai and Muhammad Salah who's still world class in my opinion so again graned Jaca making it onto the assist I mean congrats to him had a really really good Euro campaign was fantastic for the for the for Byer Leverkusen who obviously won the Bundesliga and nearly went Invincible to see so to see gran Jaa on this list makes me really really happy for him vitina 100 % should have been on this list because he was so good for PSG last year obviously made the UCL team of the season a guy who I watch spank barca in both legs I mean he was the best player for PSG him and Dem but I would say Vio was the best player against for PSG against Bara and those legs and he was just psg's on he was better than mbappe in the UCL in my opinion he was better than mbappe in the UCL V to me is going to be the rightful winner of the award because I think he deserves I think he's been really really good uh didn't have the best scope America but still his his League campaign was so overwhelming that I think he's going to win it fed Co Al they finally getting the credit he deserves and making it on to one of these lists because he's so good and the guy's just a machine Rodi people say he should win it he should not win it in my opinion I think Rodi did not deserve to win play the tournament at the Euros that should have been Lin or or maybe even five Ruiz I think both of them were better than Rodi and again I think Rodi if he was going to win it it would have been last year when he won the the the UCL but this year it should go to a Madrid player in my opinion because again like I said if you're going to Value trophy cabinet which these guys do when you're winning the UCL and you're winning the obviously the league in in the fashion that they did it's pretty impressive lto Martinez makes it onto list oh yeah let's talk about Emmy martinz because emano Martinez obviously uh teammates with oi Watkins but he won a trophy because he won the cop America with uh with artina of course people always like to share on em and say how does he make it onto this list the pr is crazy I'm sorry if I spit by the way if you guys saw that that was kind of gross but anyway besides I don't know why I brought attention to it now you guys are probably going to rewind and look at it but anyway emyo Martinez always gets like he he gets called like a PR Merchant I think emano Martinez I think he was the best goalkeeper in the world last year no but I think he's a guy who he's so crucial for his team every time he plays I mean what he did for ARA in that Medica was so massive man like the the penalty saves and all that stuff again do I think that he should be he he's going to he should finish in the top 10 no but he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world you have to give him that respect so I think Emy should be on here I think I I don't have a problem with Emmy being on here she say if he wouldn't have been on this list I wouldn't have noticed it but since he's on here I don't really care that much and again I'm not an artina fan uh Matt Tomos makes it onto the list which people were like pissed about because Matt Tomos wasn't that good Matt Tomos deserves to be on this list 100% he had a really really good uh bundes Lea campaign I watched actually a lot of Dortmund this year funny enough I don't know why but but I I it's one of the teams that I watch every year I have like that one team that I watch a lot for no reason like a in like a a separate League that's not the Premier League or the or La Liga and that that last year for me was dormant so again for to see Matos be here I watched him enough to know that he was really really good in the league and also in the UCL he was amazing so I'm happy to see him on here a guy who's a who who was a free agent for like so long but I mean he's still a really really good player so to see him on here is crazy Tony Cruz to make it on to this list after he's retired like when he's retired just shows the level he that he retired at and he honestly has a chance to win this award Tony Cruz like I would I would like if they if they come out and say if they open up the envelope and they say Tony Cruz is the winner of the ball door I would not be shocked I think he had he was that good last year but again he's not going to win it but to see him on this list after he retired is crazy but yeah man to me I think it Madrid play A Real Madrid player sorry is going to take home the award this year but I think oi Watkins should have been on here you can make an argument Jam M should have been on here no no disrespect to adamal lukman or artham do but I think those guys just kind of got in just like I don't know why I don't know what the criteria was for them getting it again I understand lookman more than do bck because he won a troping he was so good in that final sorry I had to burp but I think that OE Watkins should be on here I think Mohammad Salah should have been on here and yeah the four Arsenal players is crazy but
