man we so excited to be rocking here uh of course keeping this party going the 2022 version of ACC kickoff and this next guy we bring bringing to the stage his guy that's showed up R he's he's he's he knows about North Carolina cuz he's from North Carolina yeah he is I mean where's IND where's Indian Trail where's that about uh 20 minutes south of where we are right now okay we talking about the guys we were calling the C and really uh under the center for the for the of course the NC State W pack Rec Sports g m what's going on with you brother how you guys doing man appreciate doing well man doing well doing what we got to do man you know look so you know being from North Carolina right and playing now at NC State being at the HM right now tell me how you know the excitement you know that you have about the opportunity that's in front of yeah man it's a it's a special opportunity um you know a dream come true I always wanted to play football at the highest level um knew I always had it in me y you know it took me uh 5 years to to get here but uh you know just super excited for the opportunity the trust that the coaches having in me um so so so grateful for the opportunity God works in mysterious ways um you know four years ago 5 years ago would have never expected to be in this position so um an unbelievable feeling uh you know a fresh start um just so excited to be in righ man is great I lovey awesome really excited we're in Ry so that's that's a big deal that's right we talking to of course gra M who's uh it's St with pack quarterback but you got to give some Credence to the maturation process at Coastal and all the things you did there to get you prepared to come and play AC State yeah no doubt you know uh really under recruited out of high school one of the few schools that kind of took a chance on me able to do some really special things there kind of you know turn the program was a 5 and football team when I got there had that really special year in 2020 continued it on but you know really molded me into the player I am the man I am um was able to get my degree from there which special special with Mom you know Mom that happen but uh got nothing but good things to say about Co Carolina you know really love that place it's speciic to me um it was hard to leave it was hard to leave you know it's always hard to love a place you love or you know leave a place you love leave people you love um but uh it's awesome man love Coastal Carolina but you know obviously looking forward and really excited to be what's what's a Shanta C it's a sha say say right uh it's a fighting rooster of the Barnyard it comes from the canterberry tals but yeah fighting rooster a me a mean chicken there you go a mean chicken they the beach chicken wow wow how excited 10,000 yard you youat to people pretty good we are excited to be talking to and laughing with Grayson with Paul NC State quarterback you talked about being in coastal um so now that you're here okay you started here and now I'm at the top now you're here where you wanted to be um what did you take from a development stage um that you learned there that you're working on here to be better yeah I think um you know just having success early in my career it's it's after that 2020 year it's like okay where do we go from here just continuing to learn I mean I think it's an ongoing process you can never know enough you know playing all those snaps and all those football games at coasted the experience has really you know put me ahead of so many people and um just continue to learn continue to get better um learning how to take care of my body um you know it's been awesome and um just super excited I have the the you know the routine and the the game we PR down now yeah um but yeah man just uh definitely molded me and the mindset and just style of play that I go okay so we always want to get you know get to know you a little bit better personal level so we want to ask you to pick a card and I'm going to have a question got to go to the middle all right ace of spade okay well okay so that's your go-to U what's your go-to music and why um I like a little bit of everything right um like some hip-hop definitely some uh listen to country music but then my dad you know my dad used to always listen to like the rock stuff right going up and I was like I can't listen to this it's like the older I get I don't mind it you know uh I'm a Vibes guy so you you put a good song on we can we can get it down to now you you the co wasn't there that made the famous um we need more dogs somebody was just asking about like man need more dogs he wasn't there when you there was I may I maybe just a few more mean chickens oh wow like I think we got time for another card all right you got the Joker okay so then tell us the funniest thing that's happened to you or most embarrassing oh God since you've been in Raleigh most embarrassing since I've been in Raley well luckily I don't have a one that comes to mind a good thing good or a funny story that's a good thing I don't know that's tough I guess when I did my first uh my first C uh interview at the women's basketball game I had a piece of chewing gum in and I was chewing gum right and apparently I was smacking on it my mom my mom made sure to call me right after so if you don't take that you know bubble gum out of your mouth she saw your interview yeah yeah so that's that's the first thing that comes to mind but you know nothing crazy which is good very nice that's a good one that's a good good luck
