top stories in the first 5 minutes all right Jeff basil is to step down as Amazon CEO and we have a correspondent with the announcement this week and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is stepping down as the company's CEO today he made the announcement stating he is leaving his position after 27 years he'll transition to the executive chair of the company Andy jasse who is currently the chief executive of Amazon web services will take over a CEO bezo says the transition will give him time to work on other passions and projects including his day one fund and the Bezos Earth fund he will officially leave his position later this year all right that guy sounded a little like Trump no no he was not Trump no but he sounded like it didn't he just a little you could put a fantastic in there fantastic and make America great Al you know I don't hear from Trump anymore Biden doesn't even let him talk anymore either all right so basil let's talk about it the online book uh seller started in a garage in Bell in Bell in bellw we where we are right now from our broadcast studio that is correct I mean this isn't a garage this is a building we're not in we not in bezos's garage we're in we're in the city in 1984 and now it's worth $1.7 trillion with over 1.3 million employees physical stores delivery trucks movies Internet connected cameras cloud-based props uh tons of information and he's turning the Reigns over to CEO Andy Jazzy the head of Amazon's cash cloud computing division what do you think about that it it's seems a little weird that he's doing it right now right now let's talk about that that's a great segue so let's say for poor Andy he's moving in the CE role the CEO role and here's some of the items that are currently on Amazon's plate right so they have a union labor Movement we talked about that on the show going on in in in Alabama so right now he has to uh take over and help figure out what's going to be going on with that he has Amazon under scrutiny from regulators and lawmakers in the US and Europe on businesses practices on how they do their business right we have Congressional grilling so that's on top of that we have Congressional grilling that Amazon Google Facebook and apple are all considered monopolies and we have to have him also defend from the company critics about how to move forward with the new Amazon so essentially basos just said you know what I don't want to deal with well after I think the past four years I mean there there's no love loss between him and Trump so yeah I think I think maybe maybe it's a little interesting oh do you think maybe he feels like he can relax a little bit he can relax a little bit I think he's going to go out on his yacht and do what needs to be done and and turn it on over to somebody else oh he's doing the Bill Gates thing he's he's stepping down but he's not giving over he's still moving on to the board right he's still going to be in control of some things and he's still the major stock owner too of the company itself so I was there when actually Bill Gates moved over and it was kind of a it really did make a difference to Microsoft off Balmer was a great sales guy but wasn't the same same energy yeah same energy same passion same um I to say I wouldn't say manipulative way of getting things done but Gates had a specific way he had a specific way to get things done so you always wanted to have a meeting with him and you wanted him rocking because if he wasn't rocking in the meeting then he wasn't listening so there you go there's a little secret there's you don't know what bezos's tails are that's I I don't I I didn't get to work with them as much so story two Tesla to recall 36,000 Model S and X vehicles in the US and China over touchscreen failures we have some audio break they were having so many problems yep Tesla is recalling more than 130,000 Vehicles the company voluntarily recalled thousands of its Model S sedans and model X SUVs it says touchscreen display issues are leading to the loss of several safety features recall applies to all models made from 2016 to 2018 the touchscreen issues reportedly interfere with driver abilities to use defrost and defogging systems as well as use of rear view cameras and the autopilot features while parking and driving all right so I got the technical I got the technical jargon here to go through this so this is essentially this is the MCU device which is the master control unit of the power screens MH okay when Tesla built this they essentially put in these 8 GB memory cards which after 3,000 program cycles of eras and updo updating they burn out they burn out and they can no longer be used so what happened is and the Tesla has tons of updates all the time they didn't realize it when they put this M chip in there that they have continuously updated and essentially there is no the memory uh part itself is no longer able to take new code that's going on in that that stinks so what are they going to do so they have agreed for both China and the US for Tesla to replace the 8 GB EMC memory devices and to go to a 64 gab version in each of these cars so that's what they're recalling to fix the touchcreen so it's not it's not that the car is not working it's the little memory chip in the card that was not planned to be erased as much as it was and now it's I got a recall on my car I just got to go see if they put bolts in oh really yeah that's it is that just bolts B that's I got a whole bunch of the Ford Focus stuff I I just I buy I find one car model I like and then I'll just buy that for the rest of my life because it's easy to maintain and take care of and so I had a recall on like some door bolts too that could fly open when I'm driving down I'm like oh that feels safe awesome all right last thing to talk about we got to move quickly Clubhouse app so Elon musk's favorite new app so we're going from Tesla poor guy and then now we're talking about now we're talking about Elon worked he had some concerns and I know he worked with you quite a bit of it and now Mike is like a full-fledged this is awesome there's some things that can be worked on and it can be phenomenal so I am going to sit back and let you two guys kind of have the interview and talk about it but I'm very excited to have you on the show very nice thank you hi Carolyn hi how you not bad can you can you tell us a little bit about what cff is yes so cff is the beginning of the cff is the idea to to put your brain for example because you are a specialist of behavior so meaning putting a brain in a machine but never take the place of the human that mean the machine is able to read signals but you have to use your brain to interpret them because human is essential nice and one of the things that we talked about is uh we were talking about this over over a week or so ago is um what are the ways that we would like to use this software so for me the software is like this because we have on the brain we have cognitive basis and we can see only thing what we want to see this a basis of confirmation yes so this this this artificial intelligence is more like a third imperal party that show you the signals and what something is not congruent meaning uh through what you're thinking saying or showing to the other one it I'd like this key moment and so the interlocutor can come back to you to understand what happening in your head because I think the human could not be cataloged it's not so easy right so what what this computer program does is it watches and listens to you and then picks out Behavior patterns that may equal to congruent or in congruent Behavior right exactly exactly and other uh signals like Comfort or discomfort because if I am comfortable with you I will say yes with my head and if I'm not comfortable with you perhaps I will go back and say something wrong with my head and so you can understand perhaps something hurt me your attitude or something that I think hurt me so you can come back again on this moment to understand what is exactly happening so this software is for enhance enhancing conversation conversation yes yeah so so if I got this right you get you get like a video file right and there's some material that you have to do it's got to be kind of in an interview type format you upload it into your software and then the software goes through and analyzes every second of that and then puts notes on the side of it as saying well this person was happy this person's concern this person is doing this at the two-minute Mark at the one minute mark and it goes through and analyzes the whole video itself to give not necessarily a thumbs up if it's lying or a thumbs down if you're lying but just the feedback in the verbal cues and the emotional cues of the conversation is that right it's exactly that because you have some assumption when when you are making an interview so you can come back on again on this interview and see exactly this moment because they are real that's not something that could you can interpret and so you can see everything on this timeline and come back again with the candidate if it's a interview or with the business partner or with your investor or with your doctor or your psychologue it's depend not it in what field you are using it okay and then one of the one of we talked also about the limitations and the the problems that that it has right what what's the biggest problem with this particular AI system so we talk about human so human we have as a human we have Baseline that mean perhaps I talk a lot with my hand or I move a lot of my herro so a software can only uh see when you are talking it could not go back and remove and back and remove to understand your behavior so it can see my behavior as surprise but I I'm only very uh I move a lot with my head yes so the software will see as surprise but perhaps it's only my Baseline and actually the software is not able to do to know if it is baseline or it is in Emotion so it's very little and you have to feed it with a good um good data set good annotation good expert doing annotation so no no just a lot of things to do more right so really what what you're saying is that this really needs a human a human interface to interpret what's going on because uh the com the program will identify behavioral movements but it can't put it into context no exactly no context and and for me it's more human and machine and it's not machine putting inside human so for me important things is your brain and we have to use your brain to understand better the other one and not thinking I know better for him you have to understand to go in the head of the other so sure context Baseline yes right okay so who do you who do you see is the the the industry that would be most beneficial to this for this uh platform no um for me that's actually we are doing on recruitment because that was the the Insight is giving Us by the Swiss Confederation but my dream is to helping people for example to help psychologic psychiatric how do you say that psychiatric thank you so this kind of guys for for example when you make Sude yeah and you have make a suicide and they are very difficult to know if these people will do again this suicide yes and actually it's very difficult to judge the the the possibility to do that and perhaps with this kind of machine if we feed good with good expert we can perhaps find some little signals that just show ah discomfort why of fear why and enhance this communication to find these little things very important to know better and Al it's very important for all the text because all the algorithm algorithm you can use thank you alth alith you can for example um we are very good in diarization for example and perhaps we can only um meet meet this algorithm for a specialist but not the old things of C but only one algorithm is very good or the other one for these fields so it's a lot of opportunity but I we are a very little startup so we need people we need customer we need specialist like you to enhance this machine this tools yes yeah I was I was thinking that it might be a really excellent tool for persons on uh the autistic Spectrum Disorder because they have difficulties understanding social cues that they might have a a really great tool to use to help interpret things for them exactly last week I have one they called me to to to try the system and ex exactly told me I am a ASP syndrome and perhaps I can hhas my communication so yes yes I see a lot of also for if you want to take a pit behind uh in front of people you you can also film yourself put in the machine and seeing your gesture your behavior that can help you to be more impactful for example that makes sense yeah yeah see I think you just get this and so it goes over Zoom so then I can tell when the salesperson's talking to me and he's fidgeting and moving all over everywhere that he's not telling the truth now that would be a great product to have so that we have that going on all right so um that's great I yeah yeah Caroline thank you very much for joining the show and we appreciate that and software so this is a software program that again you kind of like a YouTube video you upload it and it goes through and it dissects every couple seconds whether the person's engaged not engaged passive thinking active thinking well and and it writes notes about it so that you can go back and watch the video and then take information from that yeah I think the biggest piece to this is that it it records things that we can't I mean we can only process so much information at one time uh there are vocal pitches that we can't hear that change and can give you indicators um and this program can can pick out very subtle muscle movements and Pitch changes uh but the problem then becomes how does that get interpreted by the by and right now she said that that you need to have some experts that go through and dissect the final information to make sure that you have that correct basine take a long it's going to take a long time to to work that through the AI because the the AI can can easily pick up the movements like she was saying but it it can't interpret something so if I'm sitting here and I'm watching you and I say something and you make a face at me yep I can interpret that based on the context of the conversation that we have and I can make inferences as to what might have happened the the computer can't do that uh one of the things that also one of the things that I saw was that uh we have accentuator or like our eyebrows our eyebrows move up and the computer would classify that as a surprise emotion when that's that's not necessarily what's going on so so there's interpretive things that that need to be worked out and I don't know that AI is capable of doing that quite yet well I don't know if it's capable of doing that at all okay because it it takes it takes the ability to to have uh memory locators you know like back and and remembering something you said and being able to transl trans that yep well this was a great uh application we did we did a lot of research again when we put something on Tech time that was a lot of fun we we do a lot of research and it's going to probably be revolutionary when it comes on out but we need to be heading out to a winning the games and then he started winning the games and then we got so into it where we literally would pick teams and then we would play those teams against each other in like a tournament bracket so you got techmobile if you want something crazy there's the mutant football league I play that game too I've played that one so that I always I always like the ones that had the the different like the mutant one and then I had one that was like goblins and stuff yeah so you like RI people's head so there's a brand new and Michael Medlin is like the creator of that game and so I I kickstarted that and was excited to go with that and now let's talk about the Pro Bowl though I watched the Pro Bowl with my son this was the best thing Madden 21 Pro Bowl we know there's four people that play this hang on it took place Sunday night um it was only Madden NFL 21 cuz they can't co9 the players weren't out there they had celebrity teams the AFC and the NFC and essentially the Pro Bowl winner itself was Kyler Murray he was the MVP of the game okay he was also in the game and they only played with the Arizona quarterback the whole time so his little character they moved to it and he played so he went up against desan Watson in the first quarter and then they switched over so he's the anything to me I know anybody you're talking about except for Snoop Dog that's the only person I know you're talking about so two two quarterbacks played head-to-head Kyler Murray was better than thean Watson I think it was either tide or or Kyler Murray was ahead then essentially it went to Bubba Wallace who's a race car driver against kesan Johnson who's supposed to be really good kesan Johnson sucked he like two touchdown B Wallace just killed him then it went over to um five time or three-time pro bowler Jamal Adams from the Seahawks he was in there and he was playing against Jamal Adams was playing who was he playing against he was playing against uh um deshun Watson Kean Johnson I can't remember who he played against he was playing against somebody he was playing against somebody and he did okay and then the last people to come on up was Marshon Lynch old beast mode from the Seattle Seahawk running back in see I know that guy okay so he was there he literally after Jamal Adams got his second touchdown he was flipping his chair over he broke his chair on the broad he broke his chair and he played against Snoop Dog but all all Marshon had to do was run the ball because they were so far ahead but I'll tell you Snoop Dog during the whole episode he knew every play that was going on he like hey guys guys it's going to be a slant pass it's going to be a slant slant pass was de he's like guys I just told you hey defense you guys need to drop back and it was it was it was awesome so that that was available there the score we're happy that you get to share that with everybody it was you know what that's just talking about how we've gone virtually in
