NIU women’s soccer head coach Michael O’Neill discusses the upcoming season and Friday’s home match

okay yeah could you just tell me first about your excitement level for Friday's exhibition to get the regular season started after that yeah extremely excited for for what Friday brings it's been it's been a good week of practice uh the goals have hit the ground running uh we're starting to get a little bit um frustrated with playing ourselves time and time again so Friday and and Wes and Lis specifically will bring a new challenge and and and something that we're we're craving so um excited for Friday and hopefully it it will tell that's kind of where we need to improve as we go into uh into the main part of the Season uh starting next Thursday yeah and then just how do you think the team can build off of last year's success yes uh we we're we're obviously looking to to raise the bar once again we've done it each year I've been here and and this year is no different I think leaning on the experiences of last year uh the UPS but but more importantly the downs and how we were able to persevere through those through those moments and finish the season strong um I think that's going to be a huge piece
