Morgantown West Virginia is a fast-growing City and today I'm going to share with you a few of the top reasons why people are moving here perhaps it's for the beautiful Rivers perhaps it's for the University this is in fact the home of West Virginia University or perhaps it's one of the major hospitals that's located here if you're considering moving to Morgantown West Virginia I'm going to share with you the top three reasons why people move here as well as just a few good important things to know if you are considering moving here so the first thing that I will highlight on this little tour of Morgantown West Virginia is mon Health this is a big reason why a lot of doctors move here or medical professionals it is in fact a hospital as well as a full Medical Center for all types of different practitioners and they have several locations all throughout the Morgantown area the next major reason why people move here and perhaps this has something to do with your move if you're considering moving here is the WVU medicine Medical Campus not only do they have a huge major Hospital which is also known as Ruby Hospital but they also have a major Children's Hospital as part of their campus as well much like the first hospital that I highlighted this brings a lot of doctors to the area and all types of practitioners as well as medical students and on the note of students let's not forget that Morgantown is a college town home of WVU home of WVU football which is pretty major they definitely take their Sports seriously here in fact they don't have an NFL team here in West Virginia so that is their main team that is recognized as their state team one little tip to know about the area is that the roads are very narrow and a lot of people run red lights so definitely drive safe if you come here next on this excursion I am going to go ahead and show you the campus of WVU as you can see there is a ton of student housing so that is really important to have if you are considering coming here perhaps you're a student looking to move here or perhaps you're looking to move into a house with friends either way there's a lot of different options and as of course a reminder I am happy to help you find a home either way regardless of the reason that you're coming here if you're thinking about moving here anyways so this is the actual campus it is in fact a very beautiful campus it's very hilly so if you are considering coming here as a student know that you'll get lots of good exercise just by going to class because of all the hills but as I said it's a very beautiful campus lots of historic buildings as well as lots of events and Lively opportunities for the college kids that go here the university is actually located right next to downtown Morgantown which has a main street with several different restaurants and different hotels different things to do in all honesty it is not the most Lively Main Street or the most Lively exciting beautiful downtown but at least there is a downtown and it provides some different places to go in the evenings it can get really busy and exciting a lot of the restaurants don't open till 4 or 5 PM they definitely cater to the college crowd as well as those who work full-time if you're coming to visit the area and you want to check out the downtown scene I definitely recommend staying at hotel Morgan they just recently renovated this historic building and it's really nice inside Additionally you can also stay close to the Riverwalk there's a couple of hotels such as the Marriott that are next to the river this in general is just something that also attracts people to Morgantown the beautiful monangalia is located right through the center of town and you can walk for miles and miles next to the river additionally there are some playgrounds for kids so it's very family friendly if you're considering moving to the area with little ones this is one playground that I'll show you and then to show you is called dorsey's knob Park not only is it absolutely beautiful for just anybody who's looking for a nice little drive and beautiful view of the city but the park also features a great playground for kids as well as a small area outside if you want to host events or host a barbecue there are some grills outside things like that that you could do with friends as well here's what that playground looks like and if you'd like to see more family-friendly activities and playgrounds around the area I'll be making another video specifically about that soon tomorrow also if you're debating about whether or not you need to have four wheel or all-wheel drive on your car when you come out here if you're considering moving out here it's something that I would definitely recommend mostly because in the winter it can get quite icy but also just because the roads have a lot of potholes and are not maintained very well and there's a lot of dirt roads so it's just something to consider additionally there's a ton of construction going on all throughout Morgantown and they're pretty slow so also something to just be aware of whenever considering if you have a commute because as you can see traffic can get really bogged down as a result of the construction it'll be so nice when they're done though if you don't have to drive right through this city then you do also have pretty easy access to the interstates that surround the city and they're a little bit more maneuverable usually additionally it's just such a beautiful drive once you're out on the highway up here you wouldn't even know that there is a city Within These Hills because it's just so green and the Rolling Hills are probably one of my favorite Parts about this area additionally we have the beautiful
