well hello from just outside the shoe how about the year for Archie Griffin number 45 not only is he celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first Heisman Trophy Archie was honored recently with a statue at the Rose Bowl and now a statue here as well and what's more he will dot the eye tomorrow when the buck Guys open the season against the akan Zips becoming the first former football player to dot the eye in script Ohio this statue will stand outside Ohio stadium for as long as they play football here and I want you to know that I love the idea that buye fans might stop by to visit before a game or talk to Future generations of Buckeyes about the great teams that I played on I'm just really so honored when I think about how I can now stay connected to the fans of Ohio State forever there was a pretty big crowd on hand today to watch the Archie statue be unveiled many of them were Archie's family his friends and his former teammates not only Ohio State teammates but people he played with at eastmore High School here in Columbus and of course Archie was all about his teammates talking about them because he said I hope when people walk by the statue they think of the people that helped me along the way those teammates who helped them become one of only two people to ever start four Rose Bulls at Ohio stadium for the football fever I'm Dave Holmes [Music]
