you try impress them not try impress nobody but anyway me look healthy but my nephew who 16 never work out he walks around the house without his shirt for a lot and the boy people the boy is cut now you know he's very essential to the team he's not that technical player that's going to get the ball and do a lot of good you know quick movement and run around players he's not that player he's the player that can run for the team you need a player like that in the team right one before I go um how you feel about Maggie you know to get integrated by me feel like there would be a good a good start for Coach Steve McLaren you feel like M would be a good you know addition to the Midfield I'm just I'm just asking um look Maggie is a good player but I think here's what's happening to us when a player is not around they're better than they really are that's what I'm realizing when we don't have a player because we see them play and we see have certain skill set but when not in the team playing we think and they're supposedly missed we think they're much better than they really are is Maggie better than any of the midfielders that we have now no he's a different type of player he's a more creative player he's probably a better passer than all of them but football is played two ways you can't just play offense you gotta play defense he doesn't play any defense even when he tries he's not a good Defender and everybody in that team yesterday even though they didn't play that well offensively after the 38th minute Play Def defense they put a shift in Gray sometimes doesn't put as much shift in as he need to and I think gray is going to lose his place at some point if he doesn't do better but you gotta put a shift in then he doesn't put a shift in yeah he he has given us a lot of fours and threes and five you know that's showing you cranky that the team itself need more players to compete yes the mar is getting too comfortable yes he have his you know when just came important and allow us then to be in a more relaxed position even though we gave up a goal like a minute afterward but I thought he struggled yesterday and people look at the end product as if it's the overall game but you watching for the entire first half I thought he struggled now was he much worse than gray no not really but I thought he struggled yesterday and not he didn't have a lot of touches but one thing he did actually which is important he worked hard defensively which we can't say gray does as consistently nor can we say the player like McGee who you guys are mentioning does that he did put in a shift and you want your you know Bobby Reid is not the best player on the field but Bobby Reid doesn't cheat working doesn't cheat working hard and that's why every coach Gonna Love A Bobby Reid because they want a player who has some offensive skills but also is going to put in the shift cuz the game is played half a game his defense and half his offense depends how much what the ball you have and yesterday we didn't have a ton of the ball in the second half so you need people come put in a shift and um Norman Campell did put in a shift yesterday but I think the whole sequence lined up and then now this is the pass by Bobby Reed to Antonio because you see coming from Deep here all the way down here between two men the pass is passed around um so it's a really good buildup from I think it was the defender to Dixon Boby come from Deep here and a really good pass to Antonio because I captured the whole sequence of play and just thought um we did a brilliant job of how we build up to the second goal now you see on this screen here this when Antonio I showed the previous screen he went around the defense he's now here keeper came out here he beat the keeper took him down penalty brilliant sequence of play and we need to see more of that we need to see more of that from the team so you see here it was Dixon to Bobby Reid Antonio running the channels between two Defenders Reed passed the BR to him he picked the ball here end up here penalty and if he got the ball round he could have squared it to gray who's right here running in the Box played yesterday I heard the coach say how well Palmer played no he didn't play that well yesterday but the competition and level of the competition forces you to play get you at your comfort zone only we play Cuba we're in a comfort zone then High game we're just the much much better team yesterday Honduras gave us a hell of a fight and they had some sitters and I say this to Blake Blake if you watch this program do not give lty the ball in the middle of your goal you know better than that Blake you're the captain you should know your player strength and weaknesses lty don't answer the ball middle the goal don't come energy 18 asking for the ball can you don't know what you do with it that's not your Forte you're a good player you work really hard you do the basics well you don't have the maneuverability you don't have the awareness you don't have the technical skill set to be in the top of your box and receiving ball when two players are around you that's not you and if you next window he's gonna struggle to get to the team the coach is more aggressive than the last coach now the last coach is a good thing he set us up fundamentally to be hard to beat so defensively we have a good setup even though yesterday we made some really bad mistakes in the game but they weren't necessarily defensive laps apart from the one where the ball came over and pin didn't react the man run off pinck cuz the bad pass you make to me it's not necessar defensive laps you just make a poor pass the pin pass into the Midfield the two Blake pass to lty the gray trying to over dribble B trying to over dribble they gave c um Honduras about five chances which they shouldn't have got Honduras didn't create anything from open play they created no clear cut chance apart from the header in the first 15 minutes of the game I think it was from open Play other than that they didn't create anything from open Play we didn't create a ton either we had one in the first half with Antonio where a ball was play in by Palmer from Deep he controlled it on his chest and kick across with his left foot really good play really good buildup but there wasn't much difference between the team per se even though I thought andas had the Hedge right they played well they must be very disappointed losing six in a row I don't think they deserve to lose yesterday um but it was really interesting just watching the game and how the game evolve where the coach is more aggressive than the last coach so the last coach is defense first offense if I get it I get it this coach seems to be you know what I want to play football I'm a player from the back I'm G take risk now I'll say this coach I'm a ball possession person I believe in entertaining football I hate boring football but I also believe in playing smart I don't believe taking un necessary risk I believe in playing smart I'm not sure we played totally smart yesterday after you pass the ball to l once or twice in the middle of the par ain't working don't do it anymore if you have to go long and start over go long start over I don't like kick an H football but you should be playing the ball wide to your right or left back or you play the ball between the two s half Blake Don't Force the ball to let and can't manage it he's Ravel marrison who so aware he can turn on a dime or he can sha do what he needs to do that's not what he does even Pros like parte or rodri and all of them will make a mistake here and there in the 18 or top of the box turn the ball over and give other opponents go you're asking for a right back by trade who doesn't have a left foot to do that that's not working that's not working so I wouldn't do that but I think the coach is very aggressive the changes he made yesterday were all offensive changes apart from low coming off who looked like he was injured Dixon was an offensive change Nicholson was offensive change right Anderson probably a little bit less so but he came later um so I think it's very offensive and in the game in Jamaica is the same thing he's very offensive minded and as he said in his initial press conference he wants to play football Casey pmer stats weren't good real baller his stats weren't good so I'll go through stats his stats weren't good so he didn't have a terrible game I think he was like 19 of 28 in terms of his passing I think he had a 64% or 68% passing accuracy which is not good actually most of the other players over you have to over your passing accuracy if you're a professional footballer should be over 80% if you're Center forward it maybe a little bit less because you're under much more pressure as you go further down line you're going to touch the ball more if you're in your defense and Midfield but you're passing accuracy if you are midfielder and playing where he played CU he wasn't really playing true1 he shouldn't be in the 60s and it was I think he turned the ball over quite a bit yesterday and I'll go to the stats and show you so SP a was great he was brilliant against Cuba but as I said before I do not use a CU Bay game to to determine how I assess my team that's not the competition I'm focused on right and then Cuba was that good they didn't put fight and they made us look better than we really are actually I think H made us look a bit worse than we really are also but I wouldn't use the game against Cuba as a benchmark nor would I totally use the undur game as a benchmark [Music] um you must play football that look good too so the question is obviously how many times J Travel the team and don't even get a minute something seems off I don't know actually um Anderson doesn't get much playing time either it depends when Anderson first came he didn't get much playing time he got some playing time the last window he got about five minutes this wi it's tough people you can't play everybody they're trying to win and I think it's tough right King didn't get in playing time either right if you're rich King you're like why can't I get two minutes so it's not only it's not he can get into playing time but you guys will say well you know what but they play sometimes when they come Russ is not get in PL time yeah Russ have to ask himself the question is it worth it but he got to figure out a way to impress the coach people you're going to impress the coach how you play for your club team that's the why I view it because you ain't going for the senior team because senior team is picked before you come to the coach the coach needs to the coach will do be doing The Scouting the coach GNA be much more familiar by the next window he's gonna be scouting all these players reviewing all these players watching their games assessing them thinking about who fits where so it's going to be some tough on some players who don't get playing time you know how's he going to judge Nicholson when he's not playing he may not be able to judge kahem if kahe is not getting any game time so people like kahim are going to get hurt going forward because you got to be playing for somebody so he can assess you and figure out he best fit into his his schemes and formation the club the coach playing 433 I feel so much better about playing two Titanics up front didn't work wasn't working wasn't effective offensively yes defensively we are tougher if we play 442 but it didn't give us the offensive potency that we need doesn't mean we were potent yesterday but we created few chances yesterday against a better team against a good team team not a better team and we got a penalty and and we also had a couple chances e Republic says I really believe that either John Russell or k needs to be peed with case to take the dir work of him yeah but I mean so you guys are trying to replace lty then right I get the sense it's lty or it's Bobby Reid which one you guys want on the Midfield you must want one out the midfield if you're saying that right but so the first thing was about the coach I thought the coach is good job in terms of how he set his team up and also how he made his changes I didn't have any problem with his changes and who came in when right I don't think Nicholson did well when he came in in the Cuba game um and and kahim didn't get much time in the Cuba game he got more time in this game Campbell I didn't think play that well in the Cuba game but yet he got time again yesterday I didn't think he had a great first half but he set up a very good goal even though it was a home goal um up said we need to have a proper backup for Casey Palmer don't have only one Crea yeah we need we need we need more players um I'm not touching that Lone Wolf I don't want to be accused of anything I'm not touching that I'm gonna leave it alone you tell me lone wolf we need people at some point you can't carry people you gotta build out your team he need to build out his team now some going to say if you have 23 players you can carry one or two but you got to build out your team and put players in the team who going to help you injuries occur things occur people have family situation build your team where you have competition places in every if you can't compete for a spot you should be in a team let me repeat if you can't compete for a spot you should be in a team we want to have competition for places competition doesn't mean well you and I play right wing so minutes obviously or 95 about 96 Minutes 65 touches 87% passing accuracy and that's not bad because I know if there were a long ball and you'll see that so it's five so the six passes he missed were the long balls right all the short pass got to destination even though as said wants to LTI put LTI in trouble because LTI can't manage them um which were two chances for for uras which they should have scored and they didn't you though L make good saves so it's 51 from long balls not a greatest stat but you can understand why that's the case um and say he had one ground de I don't even call it touches um I don't see where his possession losses nine times so remember think about Greg Lee who lost possession 15 times he lost position nine times similar touches as Greg Ley and better passing accuracy gregy is about 61% he's 79% so this is just the stats people because some you watch gain your facts and circumstances which inform your view which may affect the how you the stats but I think the stats were sort of indicative of how we sort of how we played or how the players play more so than I've seen than even the Cuba stats which were very lary and may not reflect reality actually JRA say what about the kid Ian Frey can tell me if he has a passport don't know Ian Frey actually so I can't talk about him I will not be telling the truth if I did um so I don't know Ian FR actually possession eight times in a people that's not good CU touch doesn't mean that you have control either so if you lost possession so many times when you touch 24 times that's not a good look remember pin lost position what nine times out of 67 touches so that's not good look at here actually um two fouls wor F ones um and had an ception so his stats weren't terrible but I don't think they were great in terms of number of touches which is not his fault cuz he's playing forward and he only played 65 minutes gray played longer I think gray touches very much more we're GNA talk about gray because Gray's regressing people and I'm G call people out when they should be called out so I don't have no partiality no player I don't care what they used to play with their pedigree is J is the you D that good as said never SE him player yeah he's good but he's also a headache he's good but he's a headache don't don't think about Ravel Ravel has a ton of ability he doesn't always turn up to play something's always happened Revel like him as a player but he needs to get his life together so we're not going to rely on Ravel I think Ravel is history he is frankly I would say he's Wast his career but he hasn't maximized his potential not even close not even close Jo l here 90 minutes 82% passing so this is not bad now people 27 of 33 and I know he made a couple of long passes I think if I'm not mistaken so we'll see Zero of two long balls so two of the 33 so it would have been 29 of 33 if not for the long ball I'm just estimating um he have a lot of tackles though look at the numbers he had 44 touches um and most of those touches there could be headers there could be interceptions whatever he had it won one AAL duel he had one foul he blocked one shot he had two interceptions so they're not terrible stats actually they're not terrible stats not I would say they're great but they're not terrible stats right but the two that here's what this this here's what this doesn't capture which s score need to think about what big mistake that I made that could have cost me a goal see like how you have key passes that also has to be a start if you're going to count key pass that may have led to a goal as a stat then the opposite have to be a stat also the pin pass the two Mis control by LTI or the one Mis control and the other one J almost cost goal there were three chances that should be captured here and coaching need take this coach look at this that's be like oh they didn't watch the game and see that he made two really bad blunders in receiving the ball on edge of the box and also didn't capture pinu pass he made inside which could have led to a goal those are key passes for the opposition which I don't think sofa score captures which they should Casey Palmer stats weren't great so look at P Casey 77 minutes 41 touches similar to lty touches 68% passing accuracy remember LTI was over 80% 19 of 28 that's not good start two of six long ball so let's say four of the long ball would have been there it's still 77% 70 something per passing accuracy two of three drib dribble attempts not terrible than Cambo was one of four one five of n ground de was not bad lost position 13 times so you had 4 4 to1 Touches lost possession 13 times 68% passing accuracy and some of those those are all intertwin people because some of your bad passes go into those numbers so not the best game for Casey especially all the praise he was getting after the Cuba game that's why you have to reserve your praise in the Cuba game because the opposition was wasn't that great at all so let's go to deari gray hey deari I'm G tell you this right now you're playing yourself out of the team you are awesome when you first came you were on kov team at the tournament I have no idea what happened to you but it hasn't been good hasn't been good so he played oh what the the hell happened to my thing let me go back to this he played 84 minutes 27 touches so remember Campbell had what 21 touches in 65 minutes so probably simil touches his passing accuracy though was 93% right which is very good one second people his passing accuracy was 93% so he only missed one of his 13 passes even though he doesn't capture the turnover he made which almost cost us deep in our ear when he was driven around for some reason he had zero of four crosses which is awful for a center for a Winger two of two long balls accurate one of one dribble attempt four of seven ground deers which is good we won all our ground deers he lost position 10 times and touch a ball 27 times that can't be good and he made 14 passes that can't be good people 10 out of 27 that's not good even though his pass passing accurac is very very good can't be losing the ball so much he was F three times and gray have no idea where the goal is gray has not been playing well of late even though his passing accurac may suggest that his overall game needs to work and he's playing himself out the team why you guys keep bringing up this prodigal son as the reason why he's not playing well that's nonsense ain't got nothing to do with him they're playing opposite side of the field I don't see how that's a a part of the reason why he's not playing well he's getting the ball he's getting isolations he's just not he's got to work harder that's why Sam D got rid of him put Dwight might in the spot because he um latti had 40 something Reed wasn't really in the game sometime you could even find him even though his work is you know what off defensively but he wasn't in the game he had 32 touches that you you having Wingers touches as a midfielder that's not acceptable passing accuracy is not terrible 21 off 25 84% long balls one of three which affects these numbers zero of three ground duels which is Bobby read up Z of three ground really so where was he on the field you ain't win one grandel Palmer winning about four or five lty winning you Ain win none and lost the ball eight times at a 31 getting six touches and scoring three goals cuz Center forward should be marked by one or two people they shouldn't be have as much touch as my Winger do are more than my Wingers that's not good accurate passes is 9 of 11 which is not terrible actually long balls one of one he won hey people look at this this probably the best in the team you know my Center forward won eight of 13 dels people look at this number I'm not saying my Defender I'm not saying my Midfield I'm saying my Center forward eight of 13 duels this is exceptional best in the team by a good distance actually terms of number of du but you know he's always up there bad you know combating and fighting two of three aerial duers he lost possession seven times he lost possession less than his Wingers who have more isolation so we talking about oh people are getting double team and all that who gets more double team than Antonio and who gets more pressure than Antonio because the man's always in your back he have some English players but those are the end of their career once in a while a junior English player will come over um or maybe a Spanish player but the MLS has got I think the MLS is trying to build a league and a system where they're not overexerting themselves they don't be like the S League just spending money willingly even though they are billionaire owners American owners don't spend money that way anyway so I think they're trying to build it gradually but I think they need to step up at some point they can't keep where they are they need to improve the league the facilities are are very very good nowadays they need to improve the quality of playing the league so people in Europe want to come play here who are really not just at the end of their career but I would say maybe not Material different between MLS and Mexico frankly and in fact if you use the product of the players Mexico is no longer dominating the region so you could say MLS may be getting better now having said that a lot of us players and Canadian players play in Europe they don't playing the MLS anymore so the MLS keeps on losing its best players to Europe it's a feeder League at some point they have to reverse that and their players want to stay in the league like how the Mexican players are sometime they don't want to leave Mexico yeah but there are a lot of Mexican players in the Mexico League aren't they so M&S is not getting a lot of sou American players well the the players in this in the Americas where it's North or South America are playing More in those leagues actually [Music] um do I think that the Mexican League is strongest I don't know I think Mex is close to MLS to too many teams in MLS MLS is all about money and they have the Apple deal which is pretty decent even I think it's too longterm they they can get better people like to live in America you know a lot of people like to live in America live in Europe you got to make it attractive for them MoneyWise um Quality wise which then draw advertisers and draw TV money so TV money is what makes these leagues actually that's why that's why the Premier League is so popular like TV money Global TV money too not just regular TV money Global TV money that's what Mak it so popular even though they complain in Europe they want to play any they're not playing any games that are Premier League games outside of England but at some point they're going to have competition yeah but I think Saudi will always struggle it's not attractive to live in Saudi Arabia people don't seem to get that right Tony didn't want to go are not people want to play and here's I thing about s league players want to play against the best players they want to play Champions League they want to play in the best leagues they don't want to out at some point not in my lifetime but they going to run out at some point they try to attract people to the Middle East um I think they waste a lot of money but they're trying to attract investment trying to attract different source of income trying to diversify their source of income because too much oil dependent that's why they went sorry went public with their their their company um which was heresy at one point so yeah oil money came done okay because oil going to last forever how money can done if the oil don't last forever that means the money can done yeah it well will it keep improving though where's the groundup part of that you can't just buy Talent you got a grow Talent you got a groom talent I don't see that happening so I don't know they will pick off some of the better players because some players are just about the money right but don't you see I don't see Holland russing go to Saudi Arabia I don't see de bruo who's now in his 30s Rush go to Saudi Arabia companies and say you invest in 10 companies you only need one company in the hit well right if you put $10 million in 10 companies which are $100 million and one company hit well and that company becomes a billion dollar company you're 10 billion million turns to a billion dollar so you lose 90 million because nine failed you make a billion that's how it normally works Venture capitalists invest in a lot of these startup companies are companies in the middle of their growth and they make a significant return on the investment and Saudi Arabia is always most of the big companies you see in the background that has done really well that start the Infantry someplace they have sa money in them someplace a lot of them have sa money so they only make money from oil they may seem to they spend frivolously may seem to lose a lot of money but they make money from other than oil people don't seem to realize I don't think people realize people just think that it's just oil money you could name tons of companies that Saudi um what was the name of the company that um that failed the other day that the name is slipping me now I'm having a senior moment they build out like offices but then Co killed the whole thing right I just mentioned Lucid which by the way to me when Lucid drop their gravity SUV um it's going to be a big big turnaround for that company I think actually you know what kids into war you only have one life to live give up your one life or something which is not defending your own country is tough but if the Kenyans are there then how you justify not sending people from the Caribbean there who are soldiers we got to find a way to here's the thing people before I sign off let say this us has so many complaints about illegal immigration and people are walking through jungles in Colombia and all those places to get to the US right but some of the problem is caused by the us when you have guns you're exporting or guns that illegally get exported to all these islands that's what's kill the Caribbean you know look at Trinidad look at Jamaica all look at Haiti all these countries those guns are not made in hati they're not made in Jamaica they're not made in Trinidad they're not made in South America and Brazil and all those countries they're made in the US so when we complain about immigration here and we have all these things talk about what's driving immigration Economic Opportunity and safety two primary reasons I need to make a living for myself my family I need them to be safe cuz if they safe why are you living for so then you going to go to a country you think you're safe and your guns are the part of the problem your guns kill the economy your guns kill people okay if you have guns and people get doing a lot of bad things then you can't
